  1. anything but that boring Nessie article. I liked Caley cat - he seemed to have a bit of interaction with the fans.

Not the cat! What has a cat got to do with the club, Inverness or the surrounding area? At least Nessie was relevant. An eagle, a dolphin, Nessie, the Highlander...anything appropriate. But the cat is just a character with no attachment to Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Have u never heard of the Highland wildcat? Fierce untameable creature. good role model

  2. My apologies....I hadn't realised you were back supporting ICT again.

Given the username, the avatar and the fact that the vast majority of your posts are about another team I really don't know how I hadn't realised.

1 big clue, iam on there forum? duh

Quite right to support your local team Strathyjags. They are finding thier feet at SHFL level and they have some reasonable players. I have seen them play a few times and I feel the problem lies not with the players but with the inexperience of your management and coaches. They need direction, just the same as most ICT players. From the way Hearach blubbers his lips he MUST have played at a pretty high level of fitba so we better take what he says seriously. On the other hand, he probably wouldn't know what a fitba was if it fell in his soup! Keep supporting the Strathspey Jags - they deserve it!

Eh? Have I missed something? Where was I blubbering my lips?

  3. Since we're back in the SPL now hopefully the club might take him on as the under-19 coach

That would be particularly unfair on Scott Kellacher and Ronnie Duncan who both do a first class job. Can't sack guys just because Baz got his P45!!

I would say Scott does a good job definitely. So that would leave a job for Barry.

  4. I liked it when we sang we were the sheep shaggers at the last visit to Ibrox. Ian Blacks penalty in injury time made it even better of course! The looks on the faces of the weegie scum was priceless.

  5. would be quite happy with that. I always thought he put in a good shift. The Rockness thing was a while ago now - everyone deserves a second chance. well, maybe not EVERYONE - thinking Brewster here!

  6. Don't want to see them relegated. As for promotion, well.......I definitely don't want Dundee or Partick promoted. Wouldn't mind Dunfermline being promoted. If County got promoted it would be an easy away day. In other words anyone but Dundee or Partick is what I am saying.

  7. I don't understand how utter pish such as this can even be thought as worthy of posting.

    Pathetic.

a lot of rumours turn out to be utter pish but that is the nature of a rumour. This is the Rumour Mill so prepare yourself for some utter pish in years to come - who knows you might even post some yourself

  8. Its not supporting Untd that is the issue. I think some folk would feel the same regardless of who the other team were playing our rivals. I just dont get why folk want to support our rivals. Sorry. Not questioning the loyalty just dont get it.

So United who are going to be competing in the same league as us next season aren't our rivals. But County who are in league below us ARE our rivals? Hmmmmm. Interesting.

  9. I'm all for Freedom of Choice....it's the "You can't support a rival and be a real fan" argument being used against those wishing C*unty well, followed by the "Come on the Arabs", "Hope C*unty get trounced" etc comments that don't make sense.

In fact, if you follow the very logic of such posts, then those wanting C*unty to get beat and questioning the loyalty of anyone who disagrees are, in a word, hypocrites.

    Well said Don.

  10. good luck to County but I wouldn't be going to support them. I am amazed at the number of County fans that are travelling(!) down - didn't realise Victoria Park held so many people. But seriously, I know quite a few going to the match and you wouldn't need any fingers to count the number of matches they went to between them this season.

  11. Whatever you may think of Ross County and whether you wish them well or not tomorrow surely you agree that for a club based in a town will a population of little more than five thousand to sell close on four times that many tickets is nothing short of phenonomal.

I'm well aware that I don't speak for all, or even the majority of users on this site but good luck to them and the hoards of Highlanders who will be travelling down the A9 to roar on a team who were unable to pay their players even expenses and were on the verge of going out of business barely two decades ago.

I would thoroughly endorse what Kingsmills has just said. Apart from the fascination of following the birth and development of ICT over the years, I have also had the pleasure of reporting on the fairy story which has been Ross County since 1987 when they were ?250K in debt, amateur and working out of a " wooden shed" in Victoria Park, right through to the amazing revelations which we have seen this season.

It's almost exactly 17 years since the SFL decided to create two vacancies and on this occasion at least they did the decent thing and let in the two strongest candidates. What ICT and Ross County have achieved in the intervening years has been absolutely amazing and fully justifies their election back in January 1994.

Tomorrow's Cup Final is the very last act in what has been a phenomenal season for football in the Highlands.

    GOOD LUCK COUNTY!!

Totally agree with both posters. If we are playing Ross County I want to hammer them just like any other team but in this cup final I support thyem all the way. It is what is known as sporting.

  12. I'm a bit tired of the "nice for the Highlands" thing.

Personally I don't just want County to lose - I want them to be humiliated.

I'd like a 7-1, but I think they'll do slightly better and so I predict 5-1 for United.

As for England? If they had the REAL Rooney they would walk it - but I'll still be quietly cheering them on.

Go for a wee lie down then. Dundee United have never done us any favours in the past and I feel more affinity with a Highland club than one from Dungdee.

England will never have ther REAL Rooney cos he is Irish.
