I agree Harry.
Also another point could be, and was mentioned alot when we got relegated, was that it had been coming for a while. Hopefully with having gone down, picked ourselves back up, we can fully focus on being an established SPL team. SPL is where its at, and SPL is where we belong.

May 2009.....THAT feeling. one of the worst feelings ive ever had in my life, that hung with me all summer.
1st division campaign then starts, we dont get the best of starts, and i get my head adjusted to the fact its going to be a long haul in the 1st division...unsurprisingly mind you, as no one ever bounces back.
Cue the start of 2010, the title race gets interesting, and some entertaining football is played and some cracking results. The most excitement ive had in a league for a while supporting Inverness.
Now April 2010, 99% winners of the title, and back to the SPL next year where we belong. Next week at Ayr, hopefully we will get ANOTHER feeling...a feeling the exact opposite of the terrible feeling last year.
I cant help but wondering...was THAT feeling last year, worth it for THIS feeling this year?

Falkirk, without a shadow of a doubt!!
Aberdeen are as close to avoiding relegation as we are to winning the league.

From the start of the season he has come on leaps and bounds, and id have him in my team. He has been dropped since the last game at Dens, and cant help but think Butcher must have him down as one of the boys that cost us the win, which i think is very harsh.
Have full confidence in him and id like to see him stay on to next season.

Go on Rooney...2 more for the golden boot son!

Im in the same boat as ICTPaisley.
I play football every wednesday/sunday. Great excuse to get the old tops out.

Interesting post, and i agree with a few points.
But had we lost/drew last night with Airdrie, the forum would be full of questions asking why he would do such a thing me thinks.

There has been a bit of speculation over the lead they had on us
To clear things up on 19/12/09 and 26/12/09 they were 12 points ahead and we had played the same amount of games.
By 17/1/10 they were 15 points ahead of us, we had 2 games in hand but they had the points on the board.
15 points and you threw it away !!!
I would give anything to sing this the last day of the season. Ive been at both games they have sung the dreaded *shivver* '2-0 and you f'd it up!' chant. I love to get one back on then.
BUT...i want the league done and dusted by then. Dundee have to be our bogey team - we punish them the whole game and we still get nothing! I said to my mate after the last game at Dens that we could be 10-0 up, with 89 mins to go, and they will still take something.

Everytime Rosscie takes a throw he spends 5 minutes...he genuinely waits til there is noise from the opposition fans to get a move on to take it. But this is because no one makes themselves properly available. Although every time sanchez is on i have noticed he does.

I have such a good feeling about tonight (Ayr unbeaten in 5, Dundee's away form is rank), that i stopped off at the bookies on the way home from work to put a few quid on. Wasnt worth doing when i saw the odds but i was there already. Adds a wee bit something to watching the updates unfold.
Come on Ayr!!

As am i, few beers, get the dvd on, enjoy the whole celebration again!
-
Me personally, i would like to see the league done and dusted by then (us the champions obviously). I couldnt take another emotional last-day rollercoaster ride like last season. However, i would bite your hand off for it at this moment in time....the feeling of getting relegated last year would be worth t for the feeling of winning the 1st division title.

After reading a topic on the P&B site, i wondered what everyones preference was to the Old Firm, as everyone on the site thinks it is the blue side.
Im not asking here for people to come out 'no one but caley thistle' and all this tripe, if you have a preference stick it in the poll. Describe why if you please.
I was brought up on Rangers all my life, the whole family as Rangers-daft, but when ICT was formed and having been born in Inverness and lived in Tomatin before coming to Cowdenbeath, this was to be my one and only team.
But when it comes to the SPL title, obviously because ICT arent up there id rather see Rangers than Celtic nab it. Please dont shoot me down for this guys, its only a question im intrigued on the answer to.
My 2p.
Where did i say anywhere in tha post that people have an Old Firm preference? i said IF YOU DO!! how hard is it? And as highlighted, IF YOU DO have a preference stick it in the poll, dont come on here and say neither because thats not what im asking. That easy enough to understand now its broken down like that?
Cheers to the people who did understand and stuck their option in the poll. Intersting viewing.

Just thinking, it's not often that we win a "must win" game.
My thoughts exactly mate! Well done lads! The chase is on, and the county result? How could anything else have went our way...bar dundee playing and getting beat? But tonight was enough for me. Just hope all this effort isnt wasted come the end of the season!
Make it count boys!!!

Don't want to sound negative, but unless there is a huge improvement in how we play, there is no chance of us going back up this season.
I disagree, to a certain extent. I saw some great football being played on saturday, in fact i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. But we have to dig deeper when the other team does. Dundee well upped their game in that last 15 minutes, we should have matched it. But Dundee got all the breaks, we didnt.
I am in agreement though. 6 points out of the next two games is crucial. If not, then if its not mathematically incorrect, im sure it would at least take a miracle.
-
just imagine what could have been then, if we are the leagues top scorers AND we had put most of our chances away. Promoted already!
-
Just heard this on STV. Of course alot of us will be biased because realistically it means ICT will be in the SPL again, but in all honesty the SPL has been a joke for years now. The fixtures that come up all the time, 2 teams playing each other every couple of months is unreal.
16 teams would certainly freshen it up. 2 teams up, 2 teams down. Away with the split aswell.

Him staying could be a positive boost in keeping at least some of the players we feared we might lose. I am sure we will still lose a few if we cannot win the title but maybe not quite so many now as some do seem to have a degree of loyalty towards him specifically.
I'm not so sure about that, from what I gather, quite a few of the players don't like him.
Don't know about that but I did hear that there is no love lost between TB and our DoF. Has GB been overruled I wonder?
From what you gather? so thats all just rumours then? I remember when the team were in a very bad spell, and got a win which i sure someone else will remember (think it was 4-1 over morton)
, where the team dedicated the win to Butcher...this proves to me he still has the dressing room. The guys that dont like him will be the guys who dont get a game, therefore its in their own hands to shine in training and get a place in the startin 11. Basically.

wouldnt miss it for anything.....even my bands gig in glasgow at night!
+1 most probably.
