  1. Very happy with that, well done!!!

Also think that will determine whether alot of the players stay or go. Hayes, Sanchez, Bully, etc they are all Terrys finds. Hopefully they repay him for first team football with signing new deals.

  2. Think hes proved himself now. He got a chance at being a first team regular, and he grabbed it with both hands and has kept his place since.

Not nerves of steel, sqaunders to many one-on-ones with the keeper.....however, if he sorts that out then yes, he wont be far off having nerves of steel. I aswell know what its like to take a non-important penalty, never mind to grab a vital point in the last minute of a game for a team pushin for promotion!!

  3. voted regardless......and its good to see nearly 80% so far feel the same out 39 votes.

if this question was asked say what, even 6 weeks ago? i think the answers would be alot different. i think the players now realise what is at stake here, it all looked doom and gloom and now they have a taste for the promotion race its all on.

think yesterday was a wasted oppertunity to go 2nd, however i wasnt at the game so cant comment. but lets see whats happens in the next week at morton and dundee.

  4. Oooooh, 2nd sounds appealing!!!

All this talk of Malpas taking charge...good coach, but our board have done some foolish things, but i very much doubt that even in the 1st division we would get malpas to hold the reigns. His record speaks for itself.

I would like to see Butcher and Malpas signed up for next season. They bring in decent players - notably Hayes, Foran, Bully, Cox was a find aswell, they keep the dressing room, they attract players, and the club gets a bit extra exposure to Butchers name.

But i dont blame the board for wanting to see what division we are in to make contract plans. There really is a big difference there.

  5. If the club really wanted, which i cant imagine they would as it is hassle they obviously wouldnt want, but im sure they could have errea for some sort of breach of contract, whichever road they wanted to go down. Most likely never getting the stuff on time.

  6. Only way for me to get up to this one is to drive up and back the same night so will have to give it a miss. Gutted.

Same for me mate. Ill be as far up as Blair Atholl on work in the van, but doubt ill be taking that up. Its the journey down and getting in after half 12 puts me off.

 Morton match on the Tuesday followed by the Czech Rep game on the Wednesday !

    I'm gonna be popular :(

Glad i sacked the Scotland game now!

  7. I remember wearing my ICT top in Egypt about 10 years ago and an enthusuastic market trader called out "Come here my friend, I support Scotrail too!"

Sorry I nearly spat out my juice when I read that!

Why? were you that market trader? :P

Thats is funny!! Especially from experience from being at Turkey last year and the amount of haggling you get.

Haha i can just imagine him saying it :(

  8. I for one dont mind buying a new strip every year, in fact i actually look forward to it.....ie the new home strip one year, then the new awya top the next, not so fussed about the sponsor change on the same kit. Its a good way to give the club my money.

I am well up for stripes again, and i think if we make that much of a fuss about it, it could happen. Considering that above strip is of an errea template, i dont see why it cant be made. Id buy that in a heartbeat.

  9. I think Golly is still worth a shot. Always looking for a space and pass for the ball, gets himself forward etc. Biggest of all doesnt guff up every second time he gets the ball.

I would be up for giving Shinnie a shot, but its too late in the season to get him used to SFL football.

  10. And Dundee knocked them out the League Cup.

Calderwood got sacked for not giving Aberdeen a cup run....is it written in the stars for McGee?

I was very surprised at this scoreline though i have to say after Saturday.....given how guff and unimaginitive Raith were, and how good and imaginitive Aberdeen were - talking from experience as i watched both games.

  11. Top Six, it was Ayr, but your right, its no good holding on to hope for the relegation battlers to take points of our contenders.

That is in our hands. And until we beat QOS, County, and Dundee at least once in the two times we have yet to play them, we dont really deserve to go up. I dont mean that in a bad way, but look how many times we have beat the top 5 already....once? Partick. But at least that was recently, in our good form.

To beat those teams at least once, starting on saturday, means we are leaving it in our own hands to challenge for promotion. This is a good feeling right now though, once which im happy to have knowing we are still in the race.

  12. Rene - for you to pick jimmy zadi shows you dont go to alot of games.

Actually I go to every home game, but anyway I don't to answer anyone about who I choose.

Hey, dont be going all defensive on me neeb! Its good you go to the home games, i go to the away and catch as many home games as i can. Makes me no better than you.

Point im making is i notice in some matchday posts, lets take Killie away in the cup last week, where everyone at the game seen Lionel have another absolute howler - and i have never been his worst critic - but you stuck up for him. If you were at the game thats when to make opinions, know what i mean? Thats all i was getting at. Fair play to ya.

  13. Rene - for you to pick jimmy zadi shows you dont go to alot of games.

My selection, id be happy to see Duncan start and Cox to be on the bench. Also, Sanchez has to come in to start and Eric on the bench, to come on as the supersub and run at the defence.

Eric had a couple of good chances to strike on saturday, but then preferred to play a wide ball - this indicates to me a little short on confidence then which worries me, as there isnt time now for him to get a good run to sort it.

  14. I'll settle for promotion on the last day of the season.

What are the bookies saying at the moment?

I also wondered this. but dont want to jinx. I remember having a line on that would win me ?180, only team that let me down was ICT, Hamilton beat them 1-0 with a pen. Alot of you will remember THAT game, and the events that followed.

Jocky Scott in the papers today saying he thinks the league will go right down to the wire, and that Inverness are Dundee's real title challengers. Makes me smile :D

  15. The fact that we have turned our home form around since the start of the season, where it was dire, then i am quite pleased about this.

In saying that, our away form is still strong, so will just have to see what happens. I just hope our bad form at the start of the season is over with, and that Dundee an County have yet to have their bad blip. Some might say Dundee are in theirs just now.

  16. Hmm no, but did enjoy the fire drill chants to the Raith fans!

Today was my first ever Caley game and I had great craic. Cheers to the fellas who invited me to sit with them for second half.

The Fire drill chants were great, but wasnt there another guy singing something not everyone knew.

Yeah he stood up and sang something, couldn't really make out what it was though.....

What a great day out! I've forgotten the first half and everything else was brilliant.

Question - "Is this a fire drill?"

I'll be singing this to the 'fans' who leave 10 minutes early next week. Big thanks to Nod for leading the 'give me a C chant' - I don't trust myself!

What was the song that fella was standing up and singing?

Great day out, great laugh and am home happy. Raith Rovers is a great place to go to see a game.

    It was a leeds song.

    Marching on together

    We're gonna see you win

    Na na na na na

    We are so proud

    We shout it out loud

    I.......C.......T !

Was he a Yorkshire Pudding ?

Yeah they were, certainly English anyway.
