  1. Agree with everything that has been said. It was such an amazing day. We were more or less the first ones there and we were actually wondering if many people were going to turn up!! Then all of a sudden everyone just poured in!! In all my years going all over the country for away games that is without doubt the best pre match sesh in a bar ive ever had. Your hospitality was tremendous and the crack was brilliant. Cheers harry and lets pray we draw yous away in the cup next year!!

  2. After the first 2-2 draw at Dens Park.

I knew we were as good as them if not better, and more importantly they knew we were as good as them. One or two blips along the way, but once the team was sorted then we cruised to the title. My finger nails are testament to that.

I would say exactly the same. I knew that we stiil had the makings of a good team but that game at dens in august confirmed it. We played them off the park that day and they knew that. We did the same in the cup final and the other two league games but still couldnt get the win. But i think we took a huge boost from some of those performances. We knew that we were a far superior side and we built on that. I really was very happy with dundee taking all the headlines in the early part of the season because i always thought we were capable of going on a run like this.

The partick game away last month confirmed it for me. That really was a HUGE game at a ground where we had already been beaten. The work ethic that day was incredible and it was clearly obvious how much the players wanted it

  3. 2 words. Simple. TERRY BUTCHER. Far too many people on this forum slated him at the start of the season. All this s***e about it was his team selections that put us down was hilarious. He did a superb job with what was left for him by that arse brewster. We unfortunately just fell at the last hurdle.

But then the slating continued when we didnt have the best of starts to the season. I just wish that everyone had opened their eyes and realised that he had to rebuild the whole team. He has made some very shrewd signings along with some gems like jonny hayes. Add to that, he has set the team up in a way that is very difficult to beat but still allows when they have the ball to really attack and swarm all over teams. Its no surprise to me that they have gone on such a long unbeaten run. He just needed time and he is really leaving his mark on the team.

  4. What a game! I would go as far as saying that was one of the best performances ive seen from caley in a long time. The first half was superb and they played some amazing football. We really should have been 3 or 4 up and i was worried that all those missed chances would come back and haunt us. But the way we defended second half was nothing short of incredible. Every single one of them were defending like their life depended on it. They were throwing themselves at everything and it just proves the fighting spirit in this team.

Every single player had pass marks. Rooney was brilliant and should have had a hatrick. The back four were so solid with tokely winning everything in the air. Cox and duncan were always there winning everything in the middle.

But Ritchie Foran. Take a bow son! He was IMMENSE. He makes caley tick and its no surprise that since he came back we have had 2 big wins. His skill and ability along with his passion and winning mentality make him an absolute joy to watch. He is the true captain of this team and he should be given the armband straight away. His sheer will to win is getting through to all the team and if anyone in the team puts a foot wrong, they will soon know about it from him. Particularly liked him going mental at odhiambo yesterday for not making a run.

The most pleasing thing of all was the reaction of all the players at full time. You can really see how much this means to them and they are so up for it. Every single one of them was over to the away end and you could see it all in their faces. If we keep this sort of performance up till the end of the season then i cant see us letting this lead slip.

One terry butcher! Theres only one terry butcher!

  5. Delighted with the result on saturday. Wasnt the best of performances for 65 mins (the pitch didnt help) but the way they grew in confidence after the first goal was very impressive. Ive said it before but its really promising and a good sign when we are getting results when not playing at our best.

We were really solid at the back and everyone worked so hard for the victory. I have to agree with pele is god about foran and his attitude though. He does drift in and out of games. He worked hard on saturday but at one point he went in for two tackles, never got the ball and just completely gave up and stopped running. He could do better cos in my opinion he is our best player.

Ive got to give a mention to the away support on saturday. I slated the support down at airdrie on a previous thread but i have to say it was brilliant. We turned out in good numbers and everyone got right behind them.

I was particularly pleased at full time when a chant of "there's only one terry butcher" was started. He deserved that. He has had a lot of slack from this forum but its clear that he is building a very strong team. He gets my full backing.
