  1. Did Kilmarnock drop their interest in him after the weekend or did we sneek in under the radar?

Good to see us trailing a defender though especially someone that can play RB and that has under 21 caps for his country, I don't know anything about him however welcome the news and if he is good enough I am sure TB will snap him up.

    Ditto Liam Keogh.

  2. GK - Ed Baldy

    CB - Andrew Skinner

    Andy started on the bench.

Was at the game myself, had to leave before the end though (at 3-1) but I have to say it was a disapointing performance from the full-time ICT team. Granted if inexperienced.

Standouts for me were Martin Laing and the young right back (the Austrian lad?) who looked solid if not spectacular.

Buckie are a good side, watched them quite a bit since a friend signed for them and you can see why they are back-toback HFL champions what with the spine of the team ex-ICT first team squad players with most of them getting games for the first team. Not sure MacKinnon ever did? I know Craig MacMillan, Zander, Dave MacRae and obviously Spider did.

  3. Sectarian chanting and bigotry doesn't bother me in the slightest. I'm not a religious person so are not offended by anything like that. You can't even make out what the inbred knuckle-draggers are chanting anyway, it's just a noise.

  4. But...but... but... he played for Mallorca!

Seriously though, going by the reports from the guys on here who were at the games down south - it doesn't sound like he's going to improve the team. Would be better with youth as Sir C mentioned.

  5. Few folk from other clubs have us down as struggling this term and going down because we've lost Rooney (who didn't exactly set the heather on fire for the majority of last season) but these signing have convinced me we're going to be absolutely fine.

  6. I always enjoy pre-season games at smaill grounds like Clach, Forres and Buckie. You get right beside the players and can hear how they communicate on the park. It feels like you're part of the game in a way.

  7. Is this topic not overstating the situation?

We are losing 2 players (Grant and Russell) who can be considered as part of the current established first team.

Golly and Roy are both on the fringe (mainly due to age), Hogg only ever came up here for a few months of football, and the remaining players are all fringe players (for varying reasons).

Yep, Thats what I was thinking. The only 2 real first-teamers leaving are Grant and Russell. The nucleus of the squad will be the same come the opening day of the season.

  8. And with an impressive goal difference as well.

Looking at this seasons table, it's really frustrating seeing Motherwell in the top 6 when you see their goal difference. They've been on the end of an absolute hiding on more than one occasion this season (including one at TCS not that long ago), but they got a wee run of results at the right time when ICT were drawing or losing, to sneak 6th place.

  9. Who was officially credited with our first goal? Having seen the highlights it looks like Rooney to me, Foran's (excellent) header looked like it was just trundling along the line, hadn't crossed it and wasn't going to. Hard to tell though.

Yep, definitely looked like Adam actually put it over the line.

  10. One particular performance that stands out for me was the SC quarterfinal in 2002 away to Partick in a 2-2 draw. A lot of you will remember it as the game where Scott Paterson scored a last minute equaliser in the setting sun to force a reply where Paterson again scored the only goal with a stunning free-kick.

Russell was a stand out in the centre of the park and all our attacks went through him, and he broke up a lot of attempted Partick breakaways as well. Pity we would have to wait another 12 months to get to Hampden because Russell's performance in that game was deserving of a Hampden spot that year.

  11. Being a former coach of a youth team based in this region, I can understand this. We had boys signing for us from ICT left, right and centre. Their reason for leaving? The coaches.

  12. The guy got a bit of a hard time from a few parties this season, but I don't see any issues when he plays and he seems a dependable defender when called upon. Cracking goal last night as well should it be his last and only goal for the club.

    Best of luck to him.
