  1. The same Alex Keddie who can't even break into the first team at Dunfermline :ponder:

Yep, Keddie is a terrible defender. The County fans I know were all glad to see the back of him. The also remarked that Keddie and Dowie, who have teamed up again at Dunfermline, was the centre back pairing that saw then relegated in 2006-2007.

  2. Thouroughly deserved, he's been superb in 2010.

He should start wide left ahead of Wotherspoon of Hibs who, as everyone knows, isn't very good.

Edit - Ally's younger brother Mark Ridgers is also in the squad. Good to see another Inverness boy getting international recognition.

  3. First one was scooped from the goal line by Esson, but someone gave the goal. Possibly correct, but difficult to tell fro North Stand.

Mr Wonder could have seen it was in sitting in his Detroit mansion watching through a telescope. A good yard over and that was from the back of the North Stand.

  4. I've always thought 'what are you on about?' when folk have said to me 'I never go to Parkhead/Ibrox, it's a horrible place and overall a horrible day out'. I really enjoy going there and have never seen/heard any trouble any time I've been there. They can sing all the rubbish they want - It isn't directed at me and I'm not offended by it as a result.

Outside the stadium before and after, none of the home fans even look twice at you and just bustle about like any other fans would outside their stadium. The stewards inside are quite lenient (not suprising with it being an OF stadium) and the catering is usually really good.

  5. I wonder how much of this coaching thing is a red herring.

None I'd suggest. If you properly coach a player how to play football, he will become a better player. In Scotland, players are left to rely on their 'natural ability' and just get told to get stuck in and show 'plenty of heart' by their coaches. That's where we falter as a nation.

  6. How old are you btw?? I don't think anyone takes them seriously. If you get this wound up over a virtual red dot on an internet site then people are going to just keep giving you more!

And don't start crying about not using the board again, that is really pathetic. If you don't want to use it again then don't if you do then do.

25 going by his profile. Which makes this even more cringey.

  7. Chasing down pass-backs and generally running around chasing after the ball Kenny Miller style both wastes energy and as above, leaves a big gap between the striker and the midfield, which is detrimental to the team should the midfield pick up the second ball. Marking the space between the centre-halfs or the centre half and fullback is what the striker should be doing.

  8. Are you sure that was Daisy's ICT debut DJS? It was certainly Mike Teasdale's debut that day and Brian Thomson's also and they both went straight into the team. I have no recollection about it being Daisy's debut but you may well be right.

I'm sure Daisy's debut would have been the first game of that season (95-96) as he signed in the summer, if memory serves (I was only 10 at the time).

  9. I agree entirely . How can you have a top 10 and not include that night in February at Parkhead in the Scottish Cup :amazed:

    Beats me.

I've just been reminded about the Scottish Cup tie in March 2002 against Partick Thistle at Firhill. A great game. Russel Duncan's finest in an ICT shirt I reckon.

  10. Dec. 9th 1995 - Humping County 5-2 in the Inverness Cup Final at Grant St. I remember Bobby Wilson shaking his head in despair as Stewarty slammed in a hat-trick. Mikey Teasdale and Thommo made their debuts and Daisy Ross tore the County full back a new one. A very noisy crowd of 3000, the vast majority of which were in the covered enclosure behind the goal, made it a fantastic atmosphere. Great days.

Ooft, I forgot about this one. A great performance.

  11. Where to start?!

The 8-1 victory against Annan Athletic in 1998

The 4-3 loss against Livingston in 1999.

    3-1 against Celtic in 2000.

    3-1 against Hearts in 2002.

    The Ayr United maulings.

The double headers against Clyde and St Johnstone in 2004.

Every other OF victory along with February 8th.
