  1. Nicola Sturgeon announced that in Scotland you can exceed the man's recommended weekly alcohol intake (21 units I think) for less than ?3.50.

I'm intrigued to know how. Any ideas?

Chat up the landlady to get some free drinks?

there wont be a landlady if these idiots keep going the way they are

  2. ball takes a higher bobble than it did before the tackle and is also slightly more infront of swanson...hard to judge...looks to me like he did get a touch with the studs...but not 100% easy to see why it was givin

  3. Probably like all those women that popped up when the John Leslie rape fiasco was brought up. Some people will do ANYTHING for their 15 minutes. Even if it was true, wouldn't anyone with the minute sense of decorum keep it quiet 'til the storm blows over? What a thing to be known for.

so true...and if i was 15 again and some other lad took the blame i would be keeping my mouth shut and for fact my mum woulda killed me haha

  4. It's not a crime for a girl to have sex with an under-age boy. I don't see what purpose it would serve prosecuting a teen mother. I doubt it would put other children off sex as I don't think they'd think of that. All that would happen is to heap more misery on a young family with years of trouble ahead.

i didnt say just the girl! the law is 16 for sex...yet countless underage children have kids every year with no penalities for them or there parents yet people have been put in jail for not sending there kids to school? typical of this country tho

  5. Is one of the ghost busters wearing shades :thumb04:

they are special xray/ghost seeing shades , why do you think hes looking up and not at the guy across from him :rotflmao:

and feb8, wots with the room thats all decorated? a crap tourist attraction me thinks!

  6. Yngwie, Setanta Sports is in partnership with Virgin Media and NTL Ireland (a Virgin company). Virgin owns 50% of the Setanta Sports news channel. Hence the reason Virgin customers get Setanta channels for free. Virgin also invests in BSkyB. My understanding is that, after a fall out between Virgin Media and BSkyB over pricing, and Virgin taking Sky channels of their network, agreement was reached whereby Virgin would invest in Sky.

virgin dont own any part of bskyb in any way and the setanta deal was done because sky took the hump about sumthing and took all sky channels (cept movie channels) from virgin so virgin apparently bought into setanta and made a news channels to rival sky and gave all large package customers free setanta to cover themselves...

i have virgin tv and we have only recently got back sky channels (sports, 1,2,3 and a few others) and that was basically down to sky losing a hell alot of money from keeping the channels to themselves

  7. give this a try

open a command promt...start > run > type "cmd" without quotes

    then:

    1. Type "set DEVMGR_SHOW_DETAILS=1" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.

    2. Type "set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1" (without quotation marks) and Press Enter.

    3. Type "start devmgmt.msc" (without quotation marks) and press Enter.

    4. On Device Manager click View, then click Show hidden devices.

    5. Click "+" to expand devices under Universal Serial Bus Connectors (should be last on the list)

    6. Uninstall any that are greyed out and say USB Mass Storage or the name of your memory stick

this worked for me but i dont take responsibility if it mess's sumthing else up :rotflmao:

  8. WORST PERFORMANCE YET. NO SHAPE AND CLUELESS.

THE H/T WARM UP BY THE SUBS SUMMED IT UP. IMRIE AND BLACK SHOOTING INTO AN EMPTY NET AND WANDERING ABOUT AIMLESSLY. PRIMARY SCHOOL STUFF.

empty net and even then then most balls ended up in the stand also why was fraser taking shots at goal/signing programs instead of being in goal?...then esson came back out early to practice throwing the ball? which he then tried to do mosta the second half without much success

  9. 5 to keep him...are you watching the same team as the rest of us?? teams a complete joke at the moment and nothing will improve with this manager

  10. I read in the chatroom, whilst doing other things so not paying too much attention, that ICT fans were fighting/arguing amongst themselves at the match. Is there any truth in this or did I pick things up wrong?

well this coulda been my dad and sumone who asked us to sit down just as the match started and who was 3 seats to the side of us, a little swearing going on but sorted pretty quickly apart from that i didnt see anyone else fighting/arguing tho after half time alot of people did move seats, had 4 seats beside me and folk came in sat in them

the game well less said about that the better, tho didnt realise how bad the wind and rain was till outside the ground was pretty wild and im sure brewster will use that as an excuse :rotflmao:

  11. Interesting stat for you starchief , of the 20 goals Boyd has scored this season 6 have been against Hamilton , 5 against ICT and 3 against Kilmarnock . I doubt there are any Championship sides with worse defences than the aforementioned .

Pretty telling isnt it. I rate him if he is getting decent service and the defence are dodgy, but against good teams in tight games, well.... but, he can convert his chances so... difficult one. 34k is crazy money for a killie striker, no wonder they are 25m in the red to the bank and cant shift him. Gow is stuck there too as he is crocked. Not going to plan for the Gers

Gows not crocked , he's played a lot of football recently . I'm hearing its more of an off-field habit thats made him fail his medical , sniff sniff .

hanging out with boyd to much i think :thumb04:

random drug test on a monday morning at murray park...doutbt they would have many players left :rotflmao: from wot ive heard :018:

  12. The missionary's name was Miss Helen MacLean and the Chinese woman was called Shu Fan. Miss MacLean had been a missionary in China (or at least that's what I understand the missionary position to have been :rotflmao: ) during the 1930s when it could be quite dangerous to be Chinese and she had rescued the woman from the country. They stayed towards the top, not far from the end of Dunain Rd. but on the Dalneigh side. My recollection of them was from the 60s and indeed it was very unusual to see a Chinese person in a town which at the time had no more than 2 or 3 Chinese restaurants.

I do also remember a Miss McCuish at Dalneigh but don't remember her becoming Mrs Gillanders (hence presumably also becoming more familiar with the missionart position :thumb04: ).

By the way I took a run along Fairfield Rd last night and the house which was initially occupied by the Ballantynes and then by the Duncan's was No. 57 "Glencoe".

57 is my grans house think Glencoe is 51
