  1. going back to the original point, i agree, brilliant day out on Sat in Stirling, and non stop singing for 90 mins!

Brilliant stuff!  Pity I dont remember the journey back!!  was a mad one!!

  2. What nonsence Charlie is talking there.  Caley Thistle are the most expensive club to watch in the SPL.  £20 for a child ticket in the main stand is a disgrace.  Until the club sort out their ticket prices, the crowds won't be going up for a while Charlie...

The club need to be doing far more to encourage people along to home games.  Far more.  As far as I can see they are doing nothing to encorage more fans to come along.

  3. blackieforce, I amn't from Aviemore, I only go through to do RDs on the odd occassion, but I certainly wouldn't say it was a dive!!  You must have very high standards!

There is always a big crowd in and everyone seems up for a laugh!

  4. I think I will start a collection at the gate of the Aberdeen match to buy sense of humour upgrades for a few folk on this site. Honestly the prawn sandwich munchers and sweety rustlers are taking over. It was never like this before we got into the SPL.

Hilarious!  Completely agree - The stadium is full of them, crack used to be so much better on the terracing!

I cant believe people are actually getting worked up over the tannoy announcers dig at Dundee Utd - It's a bit of crack!!!  I think it's quality!

  5. It's quite simple, off the field we are a mickey mouse club.

The catering is awful, The P.A system is non-existent, The tannoy announcer is pish, the car park is a farce, the club shop is a porta-cabin, the quality of stewarding is very poor, the list is endless...!

It's quite simple, they should get the Disco Brothers in to do the tannoy announcements and entertainment, we actually know what we are doing!

    :003:

Where the club got that guy from on Saturday I do not know.  Must have found him in The Keg on Saturday morning or something

  6. Surely it would be worth investing in someone more professional, (perhaps with a DJ background) who could help motivate the crowd before the game and at half time.  Also, how about information about our youth team and reserves (results, fixtures etc).

I have been saying this for a long time now, completely agree.

  7. Could well have been the company I work for.  The only reason they would stop taking bookings is that they would have had enough bookings for the number of cars on shift.  Also the traffic comes to a complete halt, so the turn around of cars takes longer.  Better to say they couldn't take any more bookings than take your booking and not turn up on time, or even at all.  I work with City Taxis (01463 222555) and it does sound like that could have been us.  I do know they were particularly busy.  Drivers like me took the day off.  :001: :001:

No wasn't City Taxis, thats who we ended up phoning, think it was Inverness Taxis!

  9. LG, just out of interest what taxi firm do you work for??

We phoned a certain taxi company yesterday at 1.00pm to book a taxi from 21 Degrees North for 1.30pm, but they said they weren't taking any bookings to the stadium after 1.15pm, which I found very strage...!

  10. The problem in Inverness these days is not so much them playing "Commercial" music, it's the fact they don't have any decent DJ's who can carry it off.  I can't remember the last time I was out and I saw a DJ actually using a microphone to interact with the crowd.  "When I was a lad" and DJing, using the mic to gee the crowd up was half the job and made for far more fun evenings.  Maybe I should come out of retirement and show them all how it should be done  :015:

I completely agree, interacting with the crowd is half the fun, and you are right hardly any DJs in town do it becuase the majority of them are *****.  Although I have been told the new resident DJ, Steve Foster, is very good at that and he will be interacting with the crowd.  He is from England and the new club owners are flying him up EVERY weekend to DJ at the club...!

  11. Well the name of the new club in Rose Street was released in the Courier on Friday, for those that didn't already know it's going to be called SOHO Nightclub.

Going to be open in a few weeks. I got a tour of it last week it's looking nae bad, nothing like Blue at all tho. The owners have spend in the region of 1/2 million quid doing the place up.  Capacity is 750 -ish.  A cut above the other 2 clubs in terms of the look and design.

Although the music is going to be commercial, which I think is a big mistake. They can spend as much money on it as they like but if it's going to be commercial music it really doesn't interest me!  Another place in Inverness doing the same thing, we don't need any more cheese!!

Although anything has to be better than Gs/Bakoo.

It will be open Thus-Sun, free entry Thu and Sun, £5 Fri and £7 Sat.

    Soho Nightclub

  12. Aye it was in The Sun today, he has gone to Setanta!

So Scotsport don't have a presenter for this Monday - My money is on Archie presenting it this week, I remember he did one show last season, i didn't know whether to laugh or cry it was that bad!!
