  1. A quick solution is great if it gets the club back to the spl but at the way it is going, thats not going to happen. We need players that can gel and enjoy playing alongside one and other and not individual players. Signing players on short term contracts is always worrying. I think the team need some team bonding because they do not seen to be the one unit at the moment and this needs to ochange and fast

  2. Although some teams have played a game more, to be 8 points off the top with 8 games gone is just NOT good enough. The season will be classed as a failure if we are not in with a change of promotion come the lst few games of the season. I think most people at the start of the season would have had us at the business end of the table after eight games and the performance so far is just not good enough.

What i would like to see is a lot more energy in the team, closing down opposition players quickly when they have not got the ball. When they do have the ball there has to be more drive and determination and run at teams to put them on the back foot to gain the upper hand. Losing goals in the first minute is just unacceptable

  3. I live in leeds and would love to watch this game. Anyone know of any internet sites, links etc?

    LEEDS!!!

    When did you move?

Well no one knows where wakefield is so i just say leeds. Makes more sence than having peolpe saying "wheres wakefield". People know where leeds is! I'll have to find somewhere that will show it or someone with sky that i can take over their living room

  4. :baby01:

Ask yer dad doofer, he seems to be on the ball.

Well i am living down in leeds now and my dad is up in inverness and goes to the games. I only get to go 2-4 times a season so he is more in the know than me which is very unusual. BUt i agree with what he says about eric and imrie, when both fit will be a deadly i feel

  5. Anyone else excited about seeing what Odihambo can offer in this division? I think he looked really promising when he started at Tannadice last season, and he was one of the few threats when he came on against Falkirk on relegation Saturday. Someone with pace and skill up front could really make the difference for us this season if Terry perseveres with the passing game and the midfield gains a bit more solidity.

Very excited. I think Foran and Odhiambo has a good ring to it - like Wyness and Ritchie, or Stewart and McLean......

Me too. I don't know that I'm convinced with Foran but I think Imrie and Odhiambo have the potential to pull defences all over the place and that should create space and opportunity for Rooney (preferably) or Barrowman to start getting on the scoresheet regularly. Once they start scoring and get their confidence going they will score more.

    Well said

  6. Although the tackle featured at the top of this thread is shocking, cringing and malicious, there are worse ones with more malice. Some tackle like the one arsenals edaurdo was involved with was well worthy of a red card there was no malice and was just miss time.

In my opinion, the worst tackle ever was Roy Keanes on Alf Inge Haaland. No attempt to get the ball and he only had his knee in mine, i think keane even said that in his autobiography. Disgraceful!

  7. Don't know if anyone else noticed this but I seemed to think that Lionel didn't seem to be himself last week, I wonder if he was still bothered by that arm injury he picked up against Albion.

No. It was his feet that were the problem.

Well he wont have to use his feet tomorrow as hopefully he will be warming up the bench.

  8. All the fans that i have spoken to all share the opinion that rooney should be starting games. He is probably the sharpest striker we have that can read the game well. I think that when eric is fit again, him and rooney can really terrorize the other teams in the division

  9. Every season a player is chosen for ridicule by a certain faction of the ICT fanbase. This season its Lionel, last it was Andy B, before that there was Rory and there was Liam Fox. Will we ever have a season where no player is boo'd?

I agree with you that some players do get ridiculed harshly at times with barrowman being a prime example, in the 1st division, this could be his time to shine. However, lionel is rubbish and goodness only knows why TB has persisted in playing him. He never looks like wanting the ball and when he gets it he gets rid of it as quickly as possible. His touch is heavy, his reading of the game is truely awful and he tackles like a rugby player.

I think the boo's should have been aimed at the management for playing him as he is clearly not good enough so in a way i feel soory for him for being boo'd but he is awful though.

  10. Well it looks like a lot of people agree with me. Lionel is a liability and not good enough for inverness, FACT! However, i dont think booing him is the right way forward. I would have suggested loaning him out however that time has come and gone. Now that golly has returned, lionel will be dropped no doubt and our defense is stronger for that

  11. From previous times i have seen him and on the sounds of todays perfomance he needs to be dropped and hastings needs to come in with immediate effect. He is nothing short of a liability and no where near good enough to wear an inverness shirt.

    Does anyone disagree?

  12. Unfortunatly (well fortunatly really) i wasnt at the game today but from what my dad told me it was one of the worst performances, if not the worst he has seen. Firstly he said that lionel was a liability and i am not surprised as i have said so many times i dont think he is good enough for a pub team, GET HIM OUT NOW!!!!!!! Secondly he said that the new signings were very poor and no better than the likes of duncan mcbain, infact probably worse so god only knows why they were not playing instead.
