  1. I wouldn't get too excited about Ross. He did fine and took his chances well when the ball broke loose to him in the box a couple of times, but (takes deep breath) I'm afraid he doesn't have what it takes to be a pro. You heard it here first.

    The boy is 17.

  2. I seem to recollect CC only gave Munro the captaincy because he was local, had been at the club for a while and played centre-half. He may be a good leader off the park, but if he can't be one on the park where leadership is needed most then he shouldn't be captain.

Yes I'm sure they were the only factors behind Christie's decision.

  3. We will not, of course be an SPl club next season, but starting as promotion favourites must gaurantee us some cherry-picking privileges amongst other clubs, including our Div 1 rivals.

    We are nobody's "promotion favourites."

Maybe the club should offer him SPL wages for this season and see what happens at the end of season or in january. You never know he could play sh*t hot for us next season and maybe a club will come in for him in january

That is a very dangerous path to take, and has backfired for many a relegated club.

  4. I love this competition, lots of throw caution to the wind style attacking football. Be interesting to see how South Africa copes with/takes to an international football competition.

Brazil have named a pretty strong squad aswell, hopefully both Spain and Italy will follow suit.

  5. And he's also retained a very good centre back in Duff. And one who came through the Inverness Youth system at that.

For all we know, the only reason Duff is staying is that his contract isn't up.

  6. Been reading a few comments lately which seem a tad disrespectful to Roy. He's maybe getting on but I still think he deserves alot more respect than people are giving him.. He works hard for the team every time he plays and never tries to grad any headlines. A true professional. so if keeping guys like this instead of the 'big time charles' at the club then i'm all for it.

Despite playing a smaller role this time round, I think Royster has had a storming season. Had an absolute blinder against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

  7. I might still be a bit drunk ... but I don'f think we deserved anything today ... were we any better than when Brew as in the dug out ??

No. We were honking today. If the team had put in a preformance like that under Brewster, 10 men or no 10 men, they would have been jeered off the park.

  8. How about Will Haining of St Mirren - quality defender and is out of contract in the summer could replace Munro if he keeps turning in poor performances like today.

Munro had one bad game today, one out of pritty much whole season but overall he is a much much better defender than Will Haining and i don't really want to sign St Mirren defenders if their shipping goals by that number today.

Muir-Jaggie's got it spot on. Securing Pavels on a long term deal should be the main priority in our backline.

Will Haining is a far superior defender to Grant Munro.

  9. This is a must win for 2 reasons:

The cup semis would bring in a good bit of money for next season.

It would totally demoralise Falkirk, who already have to stew upon being bottom of the league for the next 17 days at the very least.

    What he said.
