Long way to go....
looks like 4-5-1 set up, fair enough boss...
Tried and tested away from home, and that was with a supposedly inferior manager, so you would presume that its our best bet.
-
Really encouraging first half, especially considering our last game at Ibrox
-
The standout preformer when we beat Celtic was David Proctor. He then paid for another McGuire mistake. I think Proctor is an excellent defender. Far superior to Bryne.
-
Proctor is an excellent, if unspectacular defender.
-
Falkirk at home. Very winnable
-
I still think Hamilton have the weakest squad in the league.
-
We also have Kyle Allison and Kieron Wilson in the U-19's
Neither of which are probably ready to make the step up to sub keeper next season.
You know this how?
-
With the signing of Kerr today, I expect it'll be Duncan who's sacrificed in the middle.
Esson
Tokely Mihadjuks Munro McBain
Black
Morais Kerr Imrie
Rooney Foran
Possibly swap Black and Kerrs places and that'd be my guess with what we'll go with.
I'd go with that. Don't know why people are playing Foran out wide left?
-
Kerr plays like Cowie has this season. I've seen him live a few times, and as Motherwell fans say, the talent is not in doubt, but he frequently hides from games.
-
Seems like we are going to be signing him soon then for a nominal fee.
I saw the last 20 mins of ICT vs Celtic from October on Setanta yesterday so I kept an eye on how Cowie did but it was hard to judge with amount of time left in the game but he seemed play a sort of play-maker role, his passing looked good as did his crossing but he did come across a little bit lazy, would that just be a case of him wanting to leave and not really having any passion for the club?
What would you say is his best position?
If you want my opinion, Cowie is no where near good enough for the Championship. He is an all action type of player, with medium to good technical ability. He has not playded consistently well since this time last year, despite looking ridiculously good during his first 6 months. He also frequently let his head drop, the unprofessional way he used refuse to pass to Niculae due to the two not being best of friends an example of this.
Good luck to him, but he is nowhere near as big a miss as some seem to think.
Btw, he can play either wide right or through the middle.

If its any consolation...then please feel free to keep Morais?
On a more serious note...Hibs fan here just checking up on our boys. How do you guys feel Filipe and Thierry have been getting on since the move. I was up in the Partick Thistle end with a mate for their debut and thought Morais looked solid enough but didn't really have time to judge Thierry on his short role at the end
Thierrys not really played, injured 20 minutes into his first start.
Morais looked pretty good at Hamilton, willing to take on his man and a decent shot on him.

County.

There seems to be this idea that having our best players in the Scotland set-up is a good thing. While I want to see the lads be the best they can be, and I want the best for the national team, it will see them pulled away from training with the rest of the squad for a few days, and put them in the shop window.
-
Bye.
-
A great motivator though, hopefully he can attract some higher callibre of names as we've never had a big(well known) manager that can do that.
Most thought the same about Brewster.
-
Hamilton are mince. A decent striker and some tactics and we would have put them away with ease.
Falkirk have a far superior squad to ourselves, Hamilton and St Mirren. I'd say its Hamilton we have to aim for, I just hope the damage isn't already done.
-
Lightweight is to be expected at his age.
He looks awesome.

A wee bit cringy for a player from Glasgow who has only been here for a year kissing the badge!IMHO - Ya kiss the badge when ya have been here long enuff to justify it - not becos ya are out to please the fans to get your place back. Having said that Imrie has the spirit and the enterprise - hopefully one day he will have the ability to go with it.I think he probably felt like it after the great support he got from the fans at Hamilton after the abuse he got from their fans. He was the last Caley player left on the pitch against Hamilton applauding us.I really don't care where he is from, he clearly appreciates us and if he feels at home here- I think thats a pretty good thing!
I loved Hissys vest and duckesque running style. He was class.
Nail on the head. I think he was merely showing how much he appreciates Caley Thistle and the club. Henrik Larsson was never a Celtic fan, nor was he born in Parkhead, but I don't think anyone would be-grudge him kissing the Celtic badge.
And IHE is right. Even when he is having a poor game, Imrie looks like he genuinely wants the team to do well.
-
OK I'll use your tactic and just say "pish". The guy is now a liability. He is not a footballer. If you can't see this then fair enough, I don't really mind. But he coped alright the first couple of seasons up but he isn't the player he was and he doesn't have the basic talent to cope in this league anymore. He is one of the reasons we look to be sliding towards the first division. Theres no place for favouritism in football. I like Rosscoe but he isn't doing it anymore.
Not just him as you say. There are several others that are rubbish as well and they have helped to drag the club to it's current level.
Ok fair enough, but I have already pointed out to you that it has nothing to do with favouritism. I didn't think Wyness was good enough, and Cowie hasnt brought anything to the team for months (although by a few accounts he played well yesterday). I just genuinely think that Rosscoe is at the moment our best choice at right back. Should Proctor or Gathuessi start outpreforming him, then by all means leave him out.

Tokely is one of the reasons we are bottom of the league. He just isn't good enough.
you are joking arent you?? theres a few players not good enough for the team or spl,but rossco certainly isnt one of them :thumb04:
Nope. I realise that there are a lot of young guys that think he is great. But I think he is one of the reasons why we are bottom of the league. He just isn't a footballer.
You get 100% from him alright, and that's not in dispute. I just think he has been poor the past couple of seasons and I think he is a poor player. If we want to improve as a team then we need better players and he would be one of the first out the door for me.
I appreciate that his fan club will jump in here and defend him. But I don't think he is the player he was when we came up at first.
But thats just utter pish :018:
As far as I'm concerned, if there not good enough don't play them (Wyness) but Tokely is still an excellent choice at right back. Strong in the tackle, strong in the air, gets forward well, always (unlike a certain captain fantastic) at least tries to find a player in space, and is actually a very accomplished dribbler on the ball.
Last year I had issues with Rossoce's positional sense, but he's worked on that, and he now knows where he should be on the park.
Just don't start me on his shooting.
In your opinion yes. There are plenty of people that think Tokely is well past his sell by date. He isn't a good player, he is constantly getting booked and giving away free kicks. Referees know what he is like. He has no pace, no ball control and he can't play. He is not a footballer. He is commited and that is why so many people don't see all his faults. I can understand this as I love watching him go through the opposition players as well. But we need better players than that. Even if he happens to be one of the forum untouchables.
Apart from that...
Again pish.
Re your forum untouchables garbage, I, and many others, slated Rosscoe last season as he was useless. This season he has been one of our best preformers. And Rosscoe has reasonably good ball control ;)

While his tackling is frequently both late and clumsy, I do think he suffers with refs due to his reputation, the same problem Black had last season.

Another arrogant git. Not sure if Sutton and Brew have ever been seen at the same time.
He always came across as one of the few nice guys in Scottish football.
