  1. I think it is fair to say that Marius is all class.  I hope we are able to hang on to him for a little longer or at least gain a just transfer fee! (or at least until Sept 28 when I will be at TCS to see him carve up Killie)

  2. [Queensland Roar fan are you?  /quote]

Yes I am but its hardly the point.  Archie Thompson is vastly over-rated.

In all honesty though there is no value in any A-League player going to the SPL (except the old firm).

Incidently - I was watching Eastern Suburbs in the Brisbane Div 1 and saw ex-Falkirk keeper Scott Higgins was Easts Keeper.

  3. Maybe Beattie Pidiatry could help by writing off the 20 pounds they are owed???

Seriously though this is not a unique situation, Hearts will be in the exact same situation when Romonov pulls out.  I have a bit of a soft spot for Hearts because I think Tynecastle is a great place to watch footie,  How steep are those stands!!

  4. Who would get promoted if....

Accies win Div 1 and New Douglas Park only holds 5300. Given that ground sharing has been a debacle for Gretna would Dundee be promoted if the came second in Div 1.

The old rules of Gretna staying in the SPL because Accies ground is unsuitable won't apply because of their financial meltdown.

Answers on the back of a postcard please.

    Bottom line:

Fireworks are just money up in smoke

and totally bad for the enviromental.

Like LG I may have made a couple of tourist extra fares.  but the congestion, slowed me right down so I did less runs that night and so made less money than I usually would.

My wife finished a 12 hour hospital shift a 8.45 pm it took her well over an hour to get home to Kiltarlity.

    I say:

Did your wife drive home or walk home.  If she drove home she is just as bad for the environment.  Hypocrite!!!

In Brisbane we have a the River Festival that closes with a million dollar fireworks display.  Over 400 000 people, mostly families, flock to the bank of the river and have a great night.

Fair dinkum stop hiding behind 'environmental issues' just because you don't like fireworks - I'm sure there were plenty of people who did.  If you really care about the environment, shut off all the electricity in your house and walk to work!

  6. Proctor had his hand up for offside before the ball cleared his head.  I hate seeing defenders raise their hands for offside.  It isn't cricket so there is no need to appeal for a decision.  Let the Ref's Assistant make his decision and defenders should concerntrate on defending.

  7. I agree with most of it IHE.

Proctor was badly impersonating a central defender - looked very suspect under the high ball.

Not sure how Roscoe got MOM - on the rare occassion he did get forward his distribution (see missed opportunity in 90m) was awful and he looked slow at times.

Munro was fantastic and Fraser looked sharp as well - even though he didn't have much to do.

Black was lively but didn't have enough people running off him.  He was forced into holding the ball longer than he wanted to.

Didn't know what to make of Patti, he seemed more interested in performing step overs rather than doing anything productive with the ball - Tip - If you do a step over every time you get the ball, defenders will take it from you every time!

Niculae just didn't get enough of the ball and when he did 3 Rangers players swamped him

    Deserved 0-0.

  8. Clearly a penalty.

Pressley was leaning into Niculae and then when he fell he further pushed Niculae off the ball.

Very lucky not to be red carded, or Proctor was very unlucky - either way both players commited the same crime and received very different sentences.
