mascot_icatPremierleague sponsor Bank of Scotland’s competition to find a mascot for Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC has been won by Rachel Blackhurst of Lairg Primary School Rachel’s ICAT design will be produced during the summer and will become the official Inverness Caledonian Thistle mascot from the start of season 2005/2006. Rachel said, “I called my mascot “ICAT” because the I stands for Inverness, the C for Caledonian and the T for Thistle. I also think that the A makes the name sound better.  The name has something to do with the animal and the team it would be representing.” As well as having her design made in to the official mascot of Inverness Caledonian Thistle Football Club, Rachel has won a selection of Bank of Scotland Premierleague football prizes for her and her school. These include a football master-class training session with Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Craig Brewster and sports equipment for her school.” Adele Mills, Sponsorship Manager at Bank of Scotland commented “The Bank of Scotland mascot competition has been a huge success and we are thrilled with the response that we have received. Bank of Scotland would like to say thank you to all of the children and Primary Schools who spent a lot of time and effort on their entries.”
