  1. Nobody's mentioned Bayne hitting the post. Is that off or on target?

But despite IHE's old mate the headless chicken moaning on the Binos forum about the lack of shots, ICT spent a lot of the game trying to walk it into the net, to copy what Dargo did with the first goal :001: :001: :001: They spent the second half in search of the perfect one-two......

I think Ayr charged us £10 last year, can't remember P*rt*ck though as my memory banks have obliterated all that, had to look up a book to check that we actually played the feckers. Anyway as somebody said, the clubs arrange it between them and I don't grudge £15 at Cup time.

I think drawing Stirling paid off for us as they tried to play football against us, and it was a good pitch, as CC said in his interview. Those P*rt*ck feckers last year were more streetwise and **** Campbell just tried to stop us playing, that's usually how you beat a team from a higher league (mind you Morton did it the right way yesterday). If Albion do go up they might be a bit lightweight for div 1 and Moore might have to dig in a bit or take a few hidings.

Revenge for Albion beating Caley 6-2 back in 1990, and also for Allan Moore being on the winning side in Caley's last ever Cup tie in 1992  :015: :015: :015:

  2. Well obviously everybody's still on the road tonight.

Just before I go out a special mention for the 3 Raith Rovers fans in our end today. The story is they thought they were playing Stirling in the league today....... surely a wind-up ?

Also Johndo borrowing the loudhailer at half time to shout over to the binos who banned him from the website :015: :015: :015: :015: Mind you I think his timing was bad as there was music playing......

  3. Yep, Denzil  :allhail:

All the moaners should remember that not so long ago it was a big deal for us to play the likes of Stirling in a league match. Now we're averaging 4900 in the SPL and they're getting 950 in div 2. All the CC critics have got nowt to complain about this week, a totally different performance and attitude from last year's sloppy displays against Ayr and P*rt*ck. The players did what they're paid for.

    Also- the crowd was announced as 1500  :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:

Usual Scottish Cup fiddle. AFAIK each of these stands holds 1250. The home one was full so they let the overspill use the terracing. We must have had about a thousand in our stand. The true figure is about 2200. The only question for me is, are ICT being fiddled or are ICT in on the fiddle?  :004:

Anyway they're oot so I suppose they have to make a few bob. Roll on Deveronvale or Plastic Whistle.

  4. I dont detect any self bitterness. I am perhap vexed that RiG makes a comment and then cant justify what he meant :024:

Your problem's with RiG's choice of phrase then, not with the rest of us  :017:

Also you're concentrating on the deals of last season, whereas most people's problem seems to go back to when ICT were in div 1.

Anyway, no hard feelings, Utd are a good side now, time to get my coat on and off to Forthbank.

  5. Eddie Thomspon is on the SPL commitee and it was him that pushed through changes in the rules to allow Caley to move.

ET thought it was a distance your fans had to travel 2 and a half hours for a home game and quite rightly he acted.

Sorry, but that's being a bit economical with the truth IIRC. There are others, less senile, who will remember the details better than I can but good old ET did it all on his lonesome? No vote?

EDIT: Anyway, maybe he was driven by guilt from unsettling our team in div 1, and his 'temp help' McCall saying publicly that he's 'been in for the boy Robson, and will be back for him in the close season'?

I'm not bitter, I realise it's just business, and anyway a lot of the animosity on here seems to be against Brew, not ET. I think the problem is yours, you just want everybody to like your cuddly wee club  :015: :015: :015:

  6. ICT will probably never be relegated

Weren't you telling us recently we were going down under CC? Or was that Private Fraser?

Also heard a lot of people saying they no longer go to the games because of CC. 4 or 5 of us used to go to every home game and as many away cup games as poss, but not been since he was put in charge.

Tough **** for them then. Missed 2 humpings of Rangers amongst other things.

  7. Bit sad to see Russell Duncan taking Stirling for granted today in the Herald. Can't find it online, but he's on about how they fear nobody but Celtic in the cup, and 'if the draw goes our way we can go quite far.'I'm sure that'll be one for the Albion dressing room wall.....

Last time that happened it was Charlie saying we could extend our 8 game unbeaten run for a good bit longer (before losing to Hibs next day). Before that it was Partick in the cup, and everybody on here talking about Hearts in the next round. One game at a time as they say  :018:

  8. I must confess to luring him over there as I had spotted an Elgin-lover post  :015: :015: :015:

A day or so later I had a look in to see he had managed about 35 posts then a ban.

I'm sure you mean well mif but the whole forum has a po-faced attitude- there was nothing offensive about his wind-ups (granted we know him better than you) and some of these guys were absolutely foaming at the mouth. All desperate to accuse IHE of being a kid while missing the irony that they were childishly rising to his bait with their spelling/grammar comments  :023: And the solution? Och, just ban him and sweep it all under the carpet. Tell them to use the 'ignore' button if they don't want banter.

Also the whole forum jumping to conclusions about the population of Inverness based on what? One poster plus the 'opinion' of another poster who claims to know that we're all morons. Wow! BTW, if you ban IHE then what about the gorilla?

EDIT: Just seen the 'Cartoon' about Inverness coming to visit. Mif thinks it's 'quality'. Amazing how some people can be original and witty without resorting to stereotypes. Well, apart from Stirling supporters obviously  :023:

  9. The thing I have is called a Podgear.

No sockets, it's just like a wee holster that plugs in the cig lighter and has a ball-joint so you can turn it, and the iPod slots into it using the dock in the base as power and charger. You set it to a frequency and away you go. Put it on shuffle and bore Naelifts to death all the way up the A9.

Obviously it's dedicated to Apple iPods, but there must be others for iRivers and the like. Mind you with iPods having 83% of the market or whatever it is, the market is full of gadgets for them (in a nice reversal of the usual problem I have as a Mac user).

My mate Dougie has a Sony and his plays in his car, but I think it has a cable.

Was illegal to use in the EC when I bought it but apparently they became legal the other week.

I've had it about 18 months, it was impossible to get them for less than £40 back then even on eBay.

I had a quick Google search for a photo but my gadget, unsurprisingly, is obsolete. Loads of other things with remotes and so on.

  10. We have an SSPCA instead of a RSPCA don't we?

    Or have I missed something?

    That's the point!

    SSPCA not RSPCA

    Ministers not vicars

    Advocates not Barristers

    St Andrew's not St John's

Procurator Fiscal not Crown Prosecution Service

    HMI not OFSTED

    etc, etc

But these words are misused every day on 'our' BBC.
