  1. Don't know how you can say a draw was better for Dunfermline. Home team, if they can't beat us (and they never looked like scoring) how are they ever going to beat the form teams?

We were gash, don't get me wrong, but I can't see any hope for the pars this season at all. They've been dodging relegation for 3 years now. Now Crawford's suspended and the rest are on bookings. We've still kept most of the squad fit to play.

Big physical side though, but we did show enough fight to match them, in contrast to Tannadice 2 weeks ago.

Couldn't agree with CCs subs at all. Took off Dennis for Bayne then Rory (overdue) for McSwegan. Also Duncan for Black.

I felt this week Black was controlling his temper and his weekly booking was unlucky (not harsh I hasten to add, just unlucky). I would have kept him on and taken off Barry, who gave everything as usual but was knackered. With Zander on in his place we could have gone for the win against 10 men. Also the 10 men only had about 4 left unbooked so Zander could have got them to complete the set  :003:

First half was very poor. I actually enjoyed the second half immensely. The football was pish, but the action was great, about a zillion bookings and a couple of punch ups  :010: :010: :010: Well worth the money.

    OK, I got a comp  :015: :015: :015:

  2. Thanks, Mantis. It's a tricky one alright, but I think I have it. Is there a prize?

Well, I haven't actually solved it myself Gordy- obviously it's the work of a true intellectual, probably worked at GCHQ for a while is my guess. The number of permutations of the 6 words is 6!= 720, but I reckon we can eliminate the one actually given, so that leaves 719.

I'd be delighted to buy you a dram anyway as I haven't seen you for feckin years.

BTW I got a card today from your neighbour, you know, the teacher. Haven't seen him for donks either.

  3. Not an ICT game, but I remember being at a Rangers game about 30 years ago with my uncle when I was a wee boy and being highly amused to here a Rangers fan shout to one of his own players, " hey Jackson (Colin) come on and show us your magic...................and f<?£!^g disappear !!!

I remember Colin Jackson. They used to call him the caramel wafer, because he was 'Gray and Dunn'.

  4. so you would be quite happy for caley to sign say a stevie crawford player instead of some big bugger from the english conference who could quite easily hack it up in scotland

WTF???? Surely the point was being made by CaleyD that C(o)unty have squandered plenty money on Crawford-type players, not ICT.

  5. Why would we want Darren Mackie...cannot ever remember him doing anything worthwhile for Aberdeen or any other club he was at.

What other clubs? He's been at Aberdeen since 1998 apart from when he played 6 games for us in div 1 on loan!

Of course he did score twice to beat us at Pittodrie as well....

Don't think he's as good as Dargo but he has a great workrate. Not a great strike rate though, stats say 26 goals in 175.

  6. I'll upload a couple of ICT shirts in a day or two. I only have last year's and the white away one from 96/7. I'll give him a couple of Caley shirts too and he can do what he likes.

Anybody else who fancies photographing any ICT shirts can send the raw pic to me if they like, if they don't have editing software.

Also any Caley shirts for my website (I only have 91-2 Umbro/Turnbull Sports Everton lookalike thingy and the Matchwinner one from 93-4) gratefully received.

  7. I was about to start a thread asking if we had turned the corner. I never made it today but it sounded on the radio as if the team gave the faithful something to get off their erses. I cannot stress how truly woeful we were last week at Tannadeechay. How about a well worn cliche 'if we play like that every week, we'll win more than we lose'?
