  1. I know Brad Wiggins personally and have no doubt whatsoever that he is clean. Proof is there in the slower average speeds in the tour in recent years. Also in the manner of his win this year, which utilised his team to the full. He was dominant in the Time Trials and clearly strong but one paced in the mountains, but that is his style of climbing.
  2. The US authorities have again investigated Armstrong for the last 2 years and have no intention of prosecuting him. He is now being hounded by the US sports authorities based on the testimony of a number of confirmed liars and former drugs cheats that the American legal system decided were in all probability based on jealousy. He has been tested in excess of 500 times during his career and has never been positive. He was always a phenomenal engine from when he first started racing and incredibly motivated. If he is ever proven to have been a cheat then he must have had the very best chemists in the world in his employ, because the testing systems declare a positive in the event that any masking agent is found All that will be revealed about him during this Tour de France I suspect will be further innuendo. Oh well. Armstrong hasn't contested the charges and will likely have all his titles since 1998 stripped. As far as I am aware the USADA has the authority to act up to 8 years in arrears. Looks like the reason Armstrong hasn't contested their charges is because he doesn't get a chance to contest any of the "evidence" The other thing is that Armstrong has never failed a test in his career and the UCI and Tour de France are the only bodies who can strip him of any titles he has previously won. USADA CEO is without doubt pursuing a personal vendetta, as no other body has found proof of wrong doing, and they have all investigated. Potentially a huge lawsuit is heading towards the Travis Tygart the USADA CEO, where he will get the opportunity to justify his actions under normal legal regulations.
  3. Brailsford carried on what was started by Chris Boardmans coach Peter Keen. An overnight turnaround in GB cyclings fortunes that has taken 18 years so far.
  4. First and Second overall, Seven stage wins by 4 different British riders. Great teamwork by the whole Sky squad who controlled the race from start to finish.

  6. The rules are a bit grey and both teams seem to have a fair shout. I agree that Dunfermline were justifiably relegated. A simple solution would be a two legged or single game neutral venue pre season play off between Dundee and Dunfermline.
  7. Agree with Caley D, Rangers are dead and New Co will discover their fate early next month. When they should effectively have to apply for membership of the Scottish League, which has happened a number of times since 1994, when each and every team gaining admittance started in the Third division. Whether the records are amended to expunge the titles won illegally or not, if the New Co do start in Division 3 at least they can expect to win three titles ove the next 3 years.
  8. Looking forward to a better season next year. But nice to sign off with a win and back to normal against Hibs, who never have liked the journey up the A9.
  9. Is this our first penalty of the season?
  10. at last a goal and we score it. Greg Tansey 1-0. Lets keep going forward
  11. Johnny Hayes what a beautiful cross - sorry goal, and still time for a third.
  12. so many chances and we cant score. 2 chances for Hibs and now 2 goals :(
  13. We get a penalty at home ...... and score from it. Well taken Tansey
  14. Cracking attempt from Johnny Hayes, unfortunately good save to go with it.
  15. Thanks for the offer Smee, but I have a good tv picture out here in the sand.
  16. 4 games clear of Dunfermline, with 7 to play, and the Pars have only won 4 games all season.
  17. Glad my prediction of a 1-1 draw was wrong, much happier with 3 points.
  18. please blow for full time.
  19. Malpas sent to the stand.
  20. Can't get radio coverage anymore over here.
  21. Goal Gregory Tade yessss
  22. As a Cyclist and Cycling official I am well aware that Cycling tests more than any other sport, which is why there have been so many caught since the bad old days in the 60s. Contador for example lost the Tour de France 18 months ago after a prolonged wrangle over Clenbuterol (which he claims was ingested from contaminated beef he ate in a restaurant) He tested once during the three weeks of that Tour de France, during which he would have been subject to tests on more than a dozen ocassions. The positive was for for a trace of the drug, which at that time was 20 times lower than the Union Cycliste International proscribed limit. World Anti Doping successfully eventually found him guilty in conjuction with the UCI . I was surprised to discover that Clenbuterol is commonly used by farmers in some countries to fatten their cattle for market. Continental Pros in the 60s, 70s and before used to race 3 to 4 hour races every day during the summer to make a living, often driving huge distances round Europe between races and took allsorts of conconctions to counteract the lack of sleep and boost performance. Thankfully those days are now history. As far as Dwain Chambers and the others listed above go. They should all have been aware of the BOA stance regarding future exclusion from selection as Elite athletes, and in my opinion exclude themselves from the Olympics sine die. All Professional or Elite Sportspersons are responsible for what they ingest, and should be big enough to take responsibiltiy when caught. I feel that bans should be life time for first offences. The list of Proscribed Substances is extensive and includes all the masking agents the sporting authorities are aware of.
  23. relieved to get a point despite the boys clearly dominating. Come back Adam Rooney.
