  1. For a moderator, I think this is a very poor post. You haven't offered an opinion, given an explanation or contributed to the discussion at all. What was your point?
  2. Maybe a "Smith out" banner could be placed somewhere instead. :004: I was thinking that, or I could carefully position my two flags so they read, "Marius is magic", "Smith is tragic" :004: But I don't think that would get me anywhere, as I have no interest in "getting at" Mike Smith, I simply want the right to peacefully protest if I believe the club is being run incorrectly. And i do believe, at the current moment, that both the footballing side of the club (ie. Brewster) is being run incorrectly, and the way the club treats its fans (ie. Smith) is being run completely incorrectly. Infact the club doesn;t seem to be making any effort at all in that department.
  3. Agreed. Thanks birdog for all the advice you've given me since Saturday on these forums. Much appreciated :003:
  4. It could be, depending on how you said it :016: I guess you and yer mate have never been to a reserve game before: if you had you'd have known that it's just the main stand (where you can rub shoulders with the visiting coaching staff and try to infect them with your cold if you judge it right, or run up to Brew and wave a flag in his face). The chief exec really shouldn't be shouting at fans, but I suppose Delia Smith set the precedent. Bet she can't really boil an egg, or hire decent stewards either. :015: We have actually been to several before, and on more than one occasion we've asked members of ICT staff for permission to sit in the North Stand and received it, which is the reason we asked. Plus we could see two lads sitting in the South Stand today. That, however, is not what Im complaining about :004:
  5. "Is the North Stand available?" Yes that is quite cheeky :017:
  6. I was considering that, however if I go to the courier, Im worried I might be permanently banned from the stadium :rolleyes02: Mike also knows me, by name, and am keen not to make myself known as a trouble-maker. Maybe too late for that though ... Funny seeing as I haven't broken any of the SPL Ground Regulations :024:
  7. Being on Study Leave from school, me and a mate decided to go to the reserve match today. Great performance from the youngsters, especially Dale Gillespie who looked a real class act. This was all overshadowed however, by the behaviour towards me by Mike Smith. Just before the match, me and my mate decided we wanted to sit in the North Stand, so started to walk towards the stand, when Mike Smith came out of the toilets between the main and north stands.. Mike took one look at me, and immediately shouted, "where do you think you're going?" I replied, "Is the North Stand available?" He told me "no of course not...I recognise you - sit down over here, shut up or you won't be coming back here this season." He didn't say this to me, he shouted it. My disagreement with Mike over my Brewster Out banner is well publicised on here, but I am shocked and deeply troubled that a man with so much power at the club shows so much hostility towards the fans. My only words were, directly quoted, "Is the North Stand available?", and his response was to shout at me to shut up, and to threaten me with a ban from the stadium for the final game. How did this man get to be in such a high position at the club? What does he actually do? What is his problem with the fans? My mate who attended the game with me today was a Hearts fan, and he joked to me that ICT was a joke the way it treated its fans. But he was 100% spot on. :008:
  8. County sold two players - Gary Mackay Steven and Alex Cooper. I believe its also in the deal that Mackay Steven and Cooper have to play in the friendly.
  9. Hmmm... San Jose is a centre back, darby a right back, Insua a left back and Huth a centre back, so the back line is totally wrong. Spearing is a centre back not a right winger, leto is a left winger, putterill is a right winger and el zhar is a right winger, so midfield totaly wrong. And Nemeth and Lindfield remember the names. TOP players. Now TCJ, I've never heard of any of these players so of course I'd get some wrong. :004: Yeah I know mate, my corrections were said very much tongue-in-cheek. How about this tho: Jose Reina Alvaro Arbeloa Jamie Carragher Daniel Agger Fabio Aurelio Dirk Kuyt Javier Mascherano Steven Gerrard Xabi Alonso Ryan Babel Fernando Torres That'd do me :D
  10. You know it could be. I was on the phone at the Gretna game and I told the person on the other end I couldn't talk as I was at the football, and she didnt believe me :015: "Shouldn't it be noisy?" she says. Quite right too :024:

  12. as much as i love caley loads n loads!!!!! if we do get liverpool, sorry, but i'll be one of those in the south stand :004: Here, here. Highland Reds YNWA :004: :004:
  13. Im a semi-regular Kopite (about 5-10 games a season, 7 this season...) and barring European nights or United/Everton games the atmosphere is generally flat. We are often outsung by opposing fans, but on European nights it is incredible. Great support from the City fans yesterday, you could hear them loud and clear. But this is nothing new for Anfield. Except as I say, and Im aware Im relying on this too much, on European nights, where the atmosphere really cant be beaten anywhere.
  14. it doesn't mean that everything I say is the view of the Trust.......... we have supported you and your friends on numerous occasions and will continue to do so as required. Fair enough, and let me say, that similarly, my views are not neccessarily those of my friends, as I know of at least one of my mates who I sit/stand with at the stadium who has no problem with the supporters trust. :004:
  15. OK they've fixed the error now. Remove topic at will :004:

Boo! Cowie was CC's signing! Im not lettin Brew get any credit for this! :004: :tic01: But seriously great season for Don, must admit I saw him a couple of times for County last season and he looked very average, but fantastic start to his ICT career. As for that midfield line-up, agreed, but Barry won't last the full 90, so I'm delighted to have Zander back. He's a top player.
  17. Just to clarify that the above is correct. It was before the Kilmarnock game I first set up the Marius flag and three others, and I was told not to cover any advertising boards. I chose there as it was the only place where Marius might see it, and fortunately he did :001: I was actually thanked by Mike Smith after the game for the flag, and was told that was where to put them in the future.
  18. I was under the impression that the supporter's trust was supposed to be looking after the supporters. If that is their job, their clearly not doing anything remotely like it and in any other industry would be sacked.
  19. No :018: Mike Smith made it clear, as an employee of the Stadium's tenants, that banners derogatory to the club could not be attached to the stadium, however you were free to express your opinions from the area you were sat. Like I say I am behind you and your cause but in this case I feel Mike Smith was fair. I see your point, and agree that Mike Smith acted within the rules of the stadium, and I clearly did not. I do however, disagree with the rules :004:
  20. I agree with your post CaleyD with exception to this quote. I think, and believe me I am no lover of Mike Smith, that MS acted fairly given the situation. He gave the flag back and told the guys they were free to wave it from where they were sitting. I agree entirely with what was on the flag but ICT do have the right to dictate what is "attached" to their stadium if they deem it to be derogatory to the club. Would Tesco allow a customer's banner to be attached to their property? "Shop at Asda Tesco are rip off Brewstards" would you allow a banner be attached to your house stating "CaleyD out, more Polish families in"? Like I say I agree with your sentiments however ICT must be allowed their rights also. PS these are my true feelings and not bait :004: Fair comment and I see your point, but totally disagree :016: :003: :004: I pay ?80 a season for my season ticket, and although that may not seem much to those of you paying ?200+ for yours, thats four months' worth of money for me, and the rest usually goes into ICT as well, travelling, food & drink etc. So when I'm spending basically all my money on the club, the club that I love, and I stongly disagree with the way its being run, I feel have the right to, as CaleyD put it, a peaceful protest. The banner wasn't slanderous towards anyone, it had no swears or anything, and although furious I made sure I conducted myself well when talking to Mike Smith about it. Regarding your comments about Tesco, asda etc. Yes, fair comment. But that (theoretical) man hasn't followed Tesco for most of his life, spend basically all his money on Tesco, and have a love for Tesco. Football is a business where the fans need to be kept reasonably happy, and like to think their opinions matter. ICT however have made it abundantly clear they couldn't care less what the fans think. And I am disappointed with members of the supporters' trust condemning me for this. :33: DOES ANYONE CONNECTED WITH ICT GIVE A TOSS ABOUT FANS' OPINIONS? Not even the supporters' trust. What a sad state of affairs. :020:
  21. Mike Smith has made it perfectly clear to me I can only voice my opinions if they agree with his. So CaleyD I'm trying to work out from your comments but not 100% sure... which way did you vote in the poll?
  22. A++++++++++ for you CaleyD. 100% spot on.
  23. I do find it baffling that a while ago there was a vote on Brew and 82% of fans wanted him gone, now its down to about 50%. Magic what a couple games against Gretna can do for you...
  24. So is the game at Caley Park or are we playing at Stirling's stadium for some reason?
  25. Possibly the fact that we were playing Gretna...
