Im a semi-regular Kopite (about 5-10 games a season, 7 this season...) and barring European nights or United/Everton games the atmosphere is generally flat. We are often outsung by opposing fans, but on European nights it is incredible. Great support from the City fans yesterday, you could hear them loud and clear. But this is nothing new for Anfield. Except as I say, and Im aware Im relying on this too much, on European nights, where the atmosphere really cant be beaten anywhere.

it doesn't mean that everything I say is the view of the Trust.......... we have supported you and your friends on numerous occasions and will continue to do so as required. Fair enough, and let me say, that similarly, my views are not neccessarily those of my friends, as I know of at least one of my mates who I sit/stand with at the stadium who has no problem with the supporters trust. :004:

OK they've fixed the error now. Remove topic at will :004:

Brewster

Boo! Cowie was CC's signing! Im not lettin Brew get any credit for this! :004: :tic01: But seriously great season for Don, must admit I saw him a couple of times for County last season and he looked very average, but fantastic start to his ICT career. As for that midfield line-up, agreed, but Barry won't last the full 90, so I'm delighted to have Zander back. He's a top player.

Just to clarify that the above is correct. It was before the Kilmarnock game I first set up the Marius flag and three others, and I was told not to cover any advertising boards. I chose there as it was the only place where Marius might see it, and fortunately he did :001: I was actually thanked by Mike Smith after the game for the flag, and was told that was where to put them in the future.
-
I was under the impression that the supporter's trust was supposed to be looking after the supporters. If that is their job, their clearly not doing anything remotely like it and in any other industry would be sacked.
-
No :018: Mike Smith made it clear, as an employee of the Stadium's tenants, that banners derogatory to the club could not be attached to the stadium, however you were free to express your opinions from the area you were sat. Like I say I am behind you and your cause but in this case I feel Mike Smith was fair. I see your point, and agree that Mike Smith acted within the rules of the stadium, and I clearly did not. I do however, disagree with the rules :004:

I agree with your post CaleyD with exception to this quote. I think, and believe me I am no lover of Mike Smith, that MS acted fairly given the situation. He gave the flag back and told the guys they were free to wave it from where they were sitting. I agree entirely with what was on the flag but ICT do have the right to dictate what is "attached" to their stadium if they deem it to be derogatory to the club. Would Tesco allow a customer's banner to be attached to their property? "Shop at Asda Tesco are rip off Brewstards" would you allow a banner be attached to your house stating "CaleyD out, more Polish families in"? Like I say I agree with your sentiments however ICT must be allowed their rights also. PS these are my true feelings and not bait :004: Fair comment and I see your point, but totally disagree :016: :003: :004: I pay ?80 a season for my season ticket, and although that may not seem much to those of you paying ?200+ for yours, thats four months' worth of money for me, and the rest usually goes into ICT as well, travelling, food & drink etc. So when I'm spending basically all my money on the club, the club that I love, and I stongly disagree with the way its being run, I feel have the right to, as CaleyD put it, a peaceful protest. The banner wasn't slanderous towards anyone, it had no swears or anything, and although furious I made sure I conducted myself well when talking to Mike Smith about it. Regarding your comments about Tesco, asda etc. Yes, fair comment. But that (theoretical) man hasn't followed Tesco for most of his life, spend basically all his money on Tesco, and have a love for Tesco. Football is a business where the fans need to be kept reasonably happy, and like to think their opinions matter. ICT however have made it abundantly clear they couldn't care less what the fans think. And I am disappointed with members of the supporters' trust condemning me for this. :33: DOES ANYONE CONNECTED WITH ICT GIVE A TOSS ABOUT FANS' OPINIONS? Not even the supporters' trust. What a sad state of affairs. :020:

Mike Smith has made it perfectly clear to me I can only voice my opinions if they agree with his. So CaleyD I'm trying to work out from your comments but not 100% sure... which way did you vote in the poll?
-
A++++++++++ for you CaleyD. 100% spot on.
-
I do find it baffling that a while ago there was a vote on Brew and 82% of fans wanted him gone, now its down to about 50%. Magic what a couple games against Gretna can do for you...
-
So is the game at Caley Park or are we playing at Stirling's stadium for some reason?
-
Possibly the fact that we were playing Gretna...
-
The stadium has been moved! I didn't know that... official website error To quote, "The reserves will face Kilmarnock on Tuesday (6th) at the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, Stirling with a 2pm kick-off. Admission is free." :015: :015: :015: :015: I have no idea how they managed that :015:
-
Caley Park :016: (sorry)

He said weve had a not bad season. Which we havn't. Obviously this is totally open to opinion, but I really don't rate this season as a good one. We've had good moments, the win over Celtic was magic, the away win at Hearts was good too, but no-where near the top six, early cup exits, and if it weren't for the shambles at Gretna we'd be right in a relegation battle. I certainly view this season as by far our worst in the SPL. And I believe Brewster, Smith and to a certain extent Bennett are to blame.
-
"However, he then came back to us looking for more money." - Graeme Bennett "I have decided to put Dennis' contract offer on ice until the end of the season, as I need to get a reaction from him..." - Craig Brewster Two apparantly contradictory statements there, as Bennett blames the agent, but Brew seems to be claiming responsibility for withdrawing the offer...
-
Keep up Tom, the club set the record straight weeks ago. My mistake if thats the case, can I get a link or a summary from someone of what was said?
-
i wouldnt say he,s a legend WHAT?? What does constitute a legend these days? All-time top scorer and scored over 10% of the club's goals in history. Ridiculous comment. so thats a reason just to keep him is it? and pay him a good wage, just because he was the all time clubs goalscorer and is a legend in some eyes, fact is this season he hasnt looked intrested, and after the contract withdrawl he should be fighting for every ball to impress brewster rather than wander about aimlessly looking dis intersted, jim calders a club legend,we need another keeper for next season,so let bring him back, pay him a wage just because hes a club legend get a grip :014: No I never said Dennis should get a contract because he is a legend. I merely said that he was a legend, and found it ridiculous that any fan can argue otherwise.
-
you have all the facts do you?you have it from his agents mouth that he didnt move the goalposts at the 11th hour?we,ll never know the full facts but if the agent did move the goal posts then good on brewster for making a stand against agents, whom mostly are the scum of the earth out to line there own pockets There is no evidence to the contrary. All news reports say the club removed the offer, and unless the club comes out and "sets the record straight" theres no reason not to believe them.

I dont think Dennis has under-performed, until a couple of weeks ago I believe he was still ICT's top scorer in terms of goals per game this season. And anyway, yes if he does under-performed for two years then fine, but whats out of order is Brew offering the contract, publicly stating how much he wants to keep Wyness, then as soon as Wyness is ready to sign he withdraws it.

If clubs sacked their managers or changed their boards every time the fans called for it, there would be no continuity and they would fall apart. Fans are fickle, and most are stupid. And some just get really pissed off when the club takes two steps backwards by appointing a manager who has already shown a total lack of loyalty, a record of 2 wins from 28 at his last club, describes a seven game losing streak as 'unfortunate and none of his fault', and then goes onto grossly mis-treat a club legend.
