  1. I don't think the "three bad apples" comment means anything. He's not talking about any player/players in particular. He's simply trying to distract attention away from his own failures and apparently it's working. If we had a board that was anything approaching competent at least we could take comfort in knowing our clueless manager will be out the door long before planning for next season begins, but we don't even have that. Hopefully (clauses in his ludicrous four-year contract permitting!), he will be booted. To be honest though I can't see it happening.
  2. In that case I agree with his sentiment, but Richie should have realised months ago - as we all did - that he is far out of his depth and should let someone else take over to avoid ruining a club he claims to love so much. I'm not saying Richie can't make a good manager, but it's clear he simply wasn't ready when given the job. I thought he'd be manager one day - retire from playing, join the coaching staff, promotion to assistant, then one day, given the big job. It was apparent very early on that he was rushed through too early. He should have put his ego aside months ago and stepped back.
  3. I missed this as I was watching on BT Sport.. Summarise for me?
  4. That post match interview has made me even angrier than I was at the performance. Yes Richie, this is YOUR fault. YOU are to blame for this. Walk now you spineless, clueless ****.

While he may have alienated some supporters with certain decisions I feel like we need to take a step back and look at what Yogi achieved at ICT.. I recall feeling utter deflation at his appointment at a time when I felt we could have attracted a manager of much higher calibre.. Yet the man led us to an incredible 2014-15 campaign that was beyond our wildest (realistic) dreams and delivered two top half finishes plus a 7th place when he basically had half a squad to choose from all season due to injuries. It wasn't that long ago when a top six finish was an unrealistic expectation yet we now seem to take it as a given despite consistently having one of the smallest budgets in the league. Yogi proved an inspired appointment and despite also feeling bewildered at several of his decisions I'm sad to see the guy go - he always delivered. All this adds to my faith in the board to make the right decision as to his replacement - even if it seems incorrect immediately afterwards. Every pre-season I find myself incredibly pessimistic as to our chances and ICT always outperform my expectations. Maybe they're too low, or maybe yours are all too high. Either way, I'm confident that in the grand scheme of things we'll look back on Yogi's tenure as a short but incredibly successful one and I wish him all the best in the future.
  6. "As a fan, I thought that was a shocking kick in the teeth for Inverness and its fan base. In football, the manager is important. In football, the players are very important. In football, the board are important. But the most important people of all are the fans who pay money to come through the gate. We employed that individual and to see him in the stand of a prospective employer, so far as we understood, on Saturday's dateline is frankly disgusting." Source
  7. To be fair to Barton, who is a cretin, I don't see how you can admire a drunk driver who had a gambling problem. I think the operative word here is "had." Didi was a fantastic professional who had some problems once his playing career was coming to an end, problems which he has now overcome. We all make mistakes - like ajs i have a massive amount of respect for Hamann.
  8. Anyone else see the twitter fight between Joey Barton & Dietmar Hamann tonight? Daily Mail website has screencaps of the tweets so you don't have to go looking yourself... Not sure there's anyone in football I have a lower opinion of than Joey Barton...
  9. Something like this?
  10. My info may be slightly out of date - seems he's been loaned out by Dinamo. But still, had a decent couple of years :P
  11. While he came with a big reputation, that may have worked against him. He may have done "very little when here", but he was still our top scorer in his only season with the club. And since leaving, he's played another ten or so games for Romania, scored 13 in his first season with Dinamo and is now their club captain. Seems he's done alright for himself!
  12. I'm in North Wales at the moment IHE and will be when the game comes around... I'll see how my wallet is doing at the time but you may see me there :)
  13. I'd just been to the cinema and was waiting for my sister to come and pick me up, so I went into Starbucks in Borders (remember that?) to waste some time. When I got there I realised that right infront of me in the queue was Marius Niculae! I'd spoken to him at the stadium a few times before and he recognised me as the lad who made that flag for him.. So he bought me a frappacino and invited me to sit with him and his friend :P Had only been sat down two minutes when my sister arrived and dragged me away :)
  14. Well whatever you did, the ?250k + add-ons I always used to get for Rory from Wigan/Preston etc. was a big boost so thanks a lot for that :) :P
  15. A little bit disappointed about Bulvitis, a bit more disappointed about Eagle and really disappointed about Duff :004: When he got a run in the team in the SPL he looked a quality player :004:
  16. Jonny Jonny Hayes, Jonny Hayes, Jonny Jonny HAYES! This news literally induced a goal-like celebration from me - jump out my seat, cheering, punching the air :D Haha. Fantastic News!! :D :D :D :D :D
  17. I'd rather have Malone as a back-up than Lionel...
  18. Its "Fluffy sheep are wonderful", but yes you're spot on about the middle line :clapping03: Aberdeen song . Ok, apologies DC, let's only sing songs that we have entirely invented on our own. Can we borrow others' tunes or is Bridge and Castle/Carefree etc. out the window too? :P
  19. Its "Fluffy sheep are wonderful", but yes you're spot on about the middle line :fighting04:
  20. Anyone know what Ayr are charging for a ticket?

Have my maths completely failed me, or is promotion possible this Saturday if County lose tomorrow night OR on saturday, AND Dundee lose on Saturday? A long shot I know, plus we've got to win our match, but it is possible?

True, although Richie could have stayed in the SPL last summer but decided to stay at TCS. Maybe he'd be happy staying with Terry whatever league we're in? Although yes for Cox, Hayes and the rest you've got to believe they'll be SPL players next season regardless of whether we go up or not. Or back down to England...

According to http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/, the following players' contracts are set to expire: Richie Foran, Ross Tokely, Jonny Hayes, Ryan Esson, Lee Cox, Danni Sanchez, David Proctor, Robert Eagle, Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Dan Stratford, Eric Odhiambo, Roy McBain. Which would mean the only players with contracts beyond this summer are: Grant Munro, Stuart Golabek, Russell Duncan, Adam Rooney, Nick Ross, Kyle Allison, Gavin Morrison, Graeme Shinnie and Shane Sutherland...
  25. Special mention to the stewards too.. Came up two or three times to tell us off but only asked for us not to sit on the back railings - said they don't mind us standing and making noise or even the odd swear or use of the word "gypsy". Very fair I thought...
