Zander may be cup tied (I think he played for us v Fort William or Clach) KO on Sunday is 2pm apparently. (HL website) The official site yet again has a slightly different report.... NORTH OF SCOTLAND CUP SEMI FINAL Our young guns marched into the final of the North of Scotland Cup on Tuesday night with a comfortable 2-0 win over Wick Academy at Harmsworth Park. Goals from Dale Gillespie and Stuart Leslie ensured a final against Elgin City, after their 3-2 victory over Ross County, on Sunday 16th September at Mosset Park, Forres. The only sour note came when striker Rory McAllister got injured and had to be replaced in the 74th minute ruling him out of the Scotland Under 21 squad for their games against Finland and Denmark. Our first goal came in the 20th minute, Dale Gillespie himself a recent selection for the Scotland Under 19 side, drove into the Wick Academy box and had his effort deflected for a corner. From the resulting kick Dale got his head to the ball and powered it towards goal. Academy defender Bryan McKiddie attempted to clear but only helped the ball into the net to make it 1-0. Two minutes later a fine strike by Rory McAllister was tipped round the post by Wick keeper James More and twenty minutes later and More again denied Rory with a diving save tipping the ball round the post. We started the second half quickly and within a minute we had increased our lead. Ex-Wick player Shane Sutherland stormed down the left flank leaving defenders in his wake and from his cross into the box Stuart Leslie was on hand to hammer the ball past More in the Wick goal. James More in the Wick goal was having an outstanding match and he again denied us in the 51st minute when Jamie Duff released Dale Gillespie one on one with the keeper only to see More block his effort. Six minutes later More denied Rory McAllister from a free kick. Midfielder Iain Vigurs was named Man of the Match. And Eliza - did you mean to booooooo the people who turn up to reserve matches?

You would love to catch any edge of my tongue Dee :001: :001: :001: I totally appreciate your carefully selected words and I can assure you I have thought long and hard about this since the singing section DISGRACE at our last home game of last season. Everything thats happened since then has done nothing but depress me and thats not even counting our results! Im still a supporter glued to the radio (most) Saturdays, I'm not even totally boycotting games, Im just not attending any where you have to pay to get in, as I dont believe my money would be spent by folk with the club / fans interests at heart, when I feel that situation has changed I'll be happy to fund their pay / jollies / drinking sesh in the Heathmount, whatever. It's not even as if I've contributed to any other clubs coffers either as I've managed to wangle freebies :001: And I wasn't the only pi55ed off Caley Thistle fan at the County game the other week (we were all secretly hoping Peterhead would hump them :001:)

Just saw this story on the Official site McALLISTER OUT FOR UEFA DOUBLE HEADER Rory McAllister, who was yesterday called into the UEFA U21 squad, has now had to pull out after sustaining an injury at last nights North of Scotland Cup semi final at Wick. We had a comfortable 3-0 win and will meet Elgin City in the final on Sunday 16th September at Forres. So did we win 2-0 or 3-0??? I can report that the County fans in the office were suitable devastated about being beaten by Elgin, however narrowly! Great stuff! :003:

Im sure you're well acquainted with how to do that! And I'm not turning my back on the team, Im just not paying the wages / emoulements of people who think its OK to treat fans like sh1t (singing section at the Dunfermline game - were you there?) and employ their drinking buddies rather than properly looking for the best man for the job. I don't care whether anyone else gives a flying feck and its my nose, I can cut it off if I want. Do you consider folk who live overseas and who can't make it to games not proper supporters? What about folk who work weekends? I'm not a glory hunter and if I choose to spend my money watching Elgin or Clach then thats entirely up to me.

Ah the good old John O Groat Journal Academy cup dream is over Wick Academy 0, Caley Thistle 2 Published: 04 September, 2007 WICK Academy's hopes of reaching a first senior cup final were dashed by a slick young Caley Thistle side on Tuesday night. Academy battled hard but were always second best in this ITP Solutions North of Scotland Cup semi at Harmsworth Park, although there could have been a tense finale had the home side converted one of several chances they created late in the game. The young Caley Jags led at half-time through a Bryan McKiddie own goal, and Iain Vugurs doubled their lead early in the second half. They will now meet Elgin City in the final. Full match report and comments in Friday's John O'Groat Journal.
  12. We were away to Wick Academy tonight in the semi final - anyone know how we got on? Official site's not been updated yet.... :003:

And anyone who thinks Im being unreasonable can go feck themselves :017:
  18. Juanjo just wasn't very good at diving, thats why he kept getting caught! :001: I only asked as the commentators did say there had been some contact but my reception blipped out so I didn't hear anymore.
  19. Was listening to the tennis, disappointing but then he's just back from injury so wasn't expecting too much from him. Oh to be blessed with a channel showing ATP tennis! Back to Niculae - was it my imagination or did he get a card for diving yesterday?

SP I am so fecked off with the Board for so many things that they would have to come crawling on their hands and knees and beg forgiveness from me personally, same goes for Brewster, I dont do bygones! I am disappointed in a few folk who seem to have crawled up the nearest board member's erse, as I thought they had a bit more backbone, my friends are disappointed in me as I'm no longer going to games. Still life goes on, no one's died, I'll catch the odd game on TV and the money I don't spend at TCS will get spent at other local clubs (planning Elgin vs East Stirling, can't wait :001:) The team still have and will always have my support, they just won't have my money. I hope thats simple enough for a pimple to understand? :001: :001: :001:
  21. Sure you're on the right thread Don? :015: Maybe you should let Mrs M4TJ finish the bottle eh? :023:
  22. I wouldn't shout at you honey :018: I prefer to be more physical :001: :001: :001: I was only passing on what the commentators had said, both during the match and in summing up. And having watched us play under brewster before I knew EXACTLY what they were talking about :017:
  23. :019: :019: :019: We're doomed!!!!!! The commentators on the radio said Niculae had passed up a few shooting opportunities so he could pass the ball to Brewster - WHY?????? :019: :019: :019:

Fecking arab tw@t :015: We'll have to get used to it seeing as we've got united's golden boy at the helm :008:
  25. If we end up winning this 1-2, with two goals from Brewster would it alter your opinion of him..? Nope, he's a donkey :001:
