  1. Good game in atrocious conditions.

Very early goal for them coming from a Devine backpass getting stuck in a puddle and Esson's rushed clearance going straight to the Utd lad who finished well.

After that early setback, I thought we were brilliant at times and totally dominated. Superb equaliser from Ofere, after some brilliant build up play between Williams and Watkins. Then a fantastic strike from Williams proved to be the winner.

Ofere missed a sitter at the beginning of the second half, then we did our usual and invited Utd onto us in the last 15 mins. Fortunately we got away with it.

Best game I've seen Ofere play yet, and after a slow start Williams was superb..my MOTM. Other than his unfortunate passbook, Devine did well.

A good all round team performance. Best get those passports out!!

  2. Nick Ross was my Motm,so thought it odd he got taken off

Strange game, we should've been 2 up at ht. Started the second half well, got the goal then seemed to invite them onto us and we went into panic mode.

No idea what to make of Ofere. Can't knock his scoring stats so far, but his touch is awful, and playing a ball for him to run onto is a waste of time and he appears to lack the vital ingredient for that tactic...any semblance of pace.

  3. It's neither here nor there if it was deliberate. Fact is, the officials missed it and it wasn't given. You can't then change the rules completely just cos one club, with all the resources and a belief that they have a god given right to win everything, doesn't like the result.

Henry wasn't punished when he handballs against ROI because there's nothing in the rule book that allows for a retrospective punishment for handball. There still isn't as far as I know. So either the SFA have different laws to every other footballing nation in the world, or they're simply pandering to a club that has influence way beyond what's acceptable.

This could be the most ludicrous decision taken yet by ANY footballing governing body and has the potential to have far reaching, negative, consequences for our game.

And all cos they don't like losing.

  4. I keep hearing this 'if it'd been 11 v 11'nonsense...well it was 11v11 when they had a player sent off and it was still only 1-0 at that time. This argument that they'd have won is so arrogant it beggars belief.

I will be so pd off if we don't fight this all the way, it's an absolute disgrace that one club can dictate the way the game is run in this country.

It'd be good to get fans of every other club involved as well, there's a fair degree of outrage on all the forums I've looked at.

The sooner that lot ****** off down to England the better.

  5. I did notice after watching the highlights again that after the 'foul' on Brown, Draper appears to say to Nick Ross that he'll have to try take the yellow card, at which point Nick appears to say to the ref 'it was me that caught him'. Draper obviously knew another yellow and he was out.

    Good team work all round!

  6. Very disappointing to find we've signed no one. We've known this situation was likely since the summer. I know we took someone in on loan which didn't work out, but it's not like we haven't had time to plan for this very likely event happening.

  7. What an awful game.

Dire stuff in the 1st half, only lit up by Watkins goal. Second half we started the better but then sat back and invited County onto us. If anything, after their equaliser, they looked the more likely to win. And I couldn't feel my feet at the end.

If nothing else, today proved we need a striker by Monday. Watkins looked like a fish out of water up front, and I can't see we've anyone else who would've done better. It's going to cost us at the end of the season if we don't get someone in.

It's not like we didn't know this was likely to happen. Billy was our only forward from the start of the season and we've just been very fortunate he didn't pick up any injuries.

  8. Good luck to Billy, he's been a fantastic player for the club.

Bit of a strange one I always thought. While his goalscoring record has been excellent, he missed as many sitters in his time here, and he was terrible in one on ones. For every fantastic volley against County there was an incredible miss against Hearts in extra time in the semi two years ago.

Overall though, a great player. His work rate was phenomenal and his ability to hold the ball up and play the lone striker role was exceptional. Sad to see him leave but all the best to the wee man and I hope it works out well for him down south.

  9. Terrible decision. They may well be a 'bigger' club, and have considerably more financial clout than us, but they're certainly not a better team than us in footballing terms. Graeme is easily good enough to have signed for a Championship club so I'm really surprised at his lack of ambition.

No worries, Tremarco has been one of my players of the season so far and is a more than adequate replacement. I'd actually have no qualms with Yogi benching Shinnie for the rest of the season and certainly don't think that'd have a detrimental effect on our position.

I'd love it if Aberdeen took a nosedive between now and the end of the season and us and Utd pipped them to the European spots, a very realistic scenario.
