  1. ICt should have a section on the website or in the programme at home games to say what they're doing to get fans involved.

    for example:

    Free teens tickets @ schools x, x & x

    soccer skills on x dates at x, x & x locations

    meet & greets on x dates @ various locations

    how many people like ot meet the players and take pictures and get signed stuff, why not get them out and about for a day or two a month and make themselves known.

    what would be funny to see is terry taking a high school p.e. class, hilarity might ensue.

  2. he was mentioned on sportsound the night of them breaking the news of marky mark being shown the door and just read it again in a sotry about how strachan has said no thanks and calderwood said it's unlikely for him to return.

    we are constanly having out managers stolen from under our feet, robertson, brewster & patterson (who buggered off to aberdeen as i recall) are a few that come to mind.

    not really demanding anything, but it would be nice even if he is under contract, to just say, "who else is gonna tally the scores for mo's quiz on away games? i'm staying with super-caley".

  3. With the 3 stooges booted from Aberdeen, i keep on hearing butchers name being mentioned with the job. normally i wouldn't take notice but it seems as if whenever one of the "bigger clubs" needs a manager, they always seem to take from ICT.

    I think butcher needs to make his intentions known and go public and either say "i'm interested" or "Where are the dons in the table? Where Are ICT?? I'm Staying With Caley!"

    As i said, i dont think he will go as he's built a great team here and if we continue our form he will have the money to do what he wants here anyway.

    • Agree 1
    • Disagree 2
  4. ICT used to give out free tickets to my school back in the 3rd division days, that was a draw for me to come along.

    My first game was a Tennents SC game against hamilton, years ago and i kept coming back to see live football, i've always believed making ICT get more involved in the surrounding (culloden & nairn) area is key to new fans either switching teams or just getting involved in your local club. that can either come from giving out a few hundred free tix for some early cup games/random SPL games or even to roy's testimonial the other night to give him a big crowd to get a key age group of 10-16 year olds involved.

    free tickets isn't the only solution though, if ict was to get involved in soccer skills, talks about respect etc. (rosco can take a 1/2 day when the ref matter comes up) i think it would create more awareness and get more younger fans along, spending money on merch, programmes, tickets etc.

    we can't expect our current league position to magically create more fans other than the glory hunters!

  5. According to FIFA 11 at least.

    Rooney is rated 68/100.

    They Have our Formation right: 4-2-3-1

    Esson

    McCann Tokely Munro Gillet

    Cox Duncan

    Hayes Odhiambo Foran

    Rooney

    Esson = 62

    McCann = 60

    Tokely = 64

    Munro = 62

    Gillet = 60

    Cox = 61

    Duncan = 60

    Hayes = 63

    Foran = 64

    Odhiambo = 57

    Rooney = 68

    Subs:

    Tuffey = 60

    McBain = 56

    Sanchez = 66

    Blumenshtein = 58

    Innes = 59

    Proctor = 56

    Golabek = 61

    Reserves:

    Sutherland = 56

    Johnson = 59

    Morrison = 53

    Shinnie = 47

    Ross = 53

  6. So the away form seems to be better than our home form, so how do we transfer that to results at home?

    Simples!

    * Inform the players TCS has been attacked by the taliban, so will have to play all our games "away".

    * Drive the players round in the team bus for 3-4hrs & put them up in a hotel the night before.

    * Put the away fans in the main stand and home support in the away ends, it should represent a typical away game.

    just a few steps but i think it might just work to convince the players to carry on their away form at home!

    any further contributions to the master plan are appreciated.

  7. hmmmm...........no

    butcher has done well for us and i think we played with a pre-determined result in mind, it is shocking but i dont think robbo coming back would be a vast improvement.

    lets just cool the jets and take a chill pill.

  8. i know one of the girls who works at the 1/2 time catering, they get paid less then ?30 for 4hrs work for home games and they ship people up from GLASGOW for staff aswell, i think they seem to have a disproportionate amount of staff for away fans instead of putting as many folk as possible in the home ends. its a shame as when winter comes a coffee or soup (which they dont do anymore) would be welcome and needed!

    the club will no doubt review the contract when it expires as i doubt they can get rid of them unless they are really violating H&S or food hygiene laws.

  9. what a shambles, i'd like to hear what butcher says about that! we went in with a team poised for defeat, its a shame on the guys on the field, the fans in the stadium and the fans at home who will get hassle for being taking a beating that make Ike Vs. Tina look like a pillow fight.

    we should have at least tried, even if it means playing our first team squad more than once in a week. i feel butcher put out that squad like they resembled that goat from Jurassic Park.....

  10. When Imrie was with us Hamilton fans chanted "Die Imrie die!" at him during the course of the game.

    im quite confident that this would have been a reference to the incident a few years ago when dougie was unfortunate enough to be involved in a tackle where the opposing player got a kick in the throat and actually "died" on the pitch before being revived

    HOLY CRAP! i never knew about that!

  11. well if you take away the ticket price then its still a cheap night out!!

    1,001 is a good attandance but why not make the north stand, those crap seats on the west side and the uncovered areas of the main stand free and then if you want to sit in the covered area of the main stand pay a fiver! i think that would be a winner, certainly be more than 1,001 there that night!

    ICT used to put free tix into my school all the time, mind you that was when we were in the 3rd & 2nd division. when they didn't i payed to get in...needed my ict fix!

    why not try to put as many butts in seats as possible, it would make for a great atmosphere!

  12. I noticed alot of empty seats at the peterhead game (i know, shock horror huh) the other night as with most midweek fixtures, you'd think with the price being a feeble ?10 adult, ?5 concession for anywhere in the ground it'd be a cheap night out.

    Does the club not give any tix to the schools in the surrounding area anymore? Imagine if we decided that maybe one of these diddy cup fixtures at home were a free event, i think we'd get so many people along for the night, see some highland football and create a potentially great atmosphere and a hell of alot more than 1,001 folk along on a half decent wed night to see caley hump peterhead 3-0.

    i think alot of people who are old firm fans who never attent a rangers/celtic match, might just decide to come along more often to see football...ya know....not on the telly?

  13. i liked imre, he was a battler like black was in midfield. i will applaud his name during the line ups but i wish him all the best in his future endeavors....just not against caley though.

  14. The bottom line is ewe held out own for a good portion of the celtic game, i was pumped and thought we had a chance but when i looked the the celtic team as individuals i then became a bit hesitant.

    Esson is he keeps up that kind of form will be key to our survival nevermind success.

    Our back four may need work but if rossco stays suspension free & munro can hold the line we will keep a strong defense.

    midfield both in attack and defense have quality, cox and duncan are playing well together and when foran is back with hayes and eric in the middle, we will be able to connect with rooney more on the ground rather than lofting balls into the air to try random luck.

    when rooney starts getting the quality service we will see opposition picking the ball out of their own net.

    what has happened has been good, but not great and thats what is in store i feel.
