  1. Excellent!
  2. If I was a gambling man, I'd put a few quid on Patti going to Hibs.
  3. Is it possible that the Board actually believes all that c**p about Inverness being so remote that no decent established player would even consider the move? Maybe we've never asked them? After all, there are loads of other professionals who jump at the chance of a move north. We shouldn't dismiss it as a possibility.
  4. Watching him on youtube reminds me of the style of John Robertson/Joe Harper from years past. Let's hope he turns out to be as good as them. If he's to be our only signing before midnight, he'll have to be good. We ain't got anyone else! Brew & co have certainly gambled that their only purchase will turn out to be a good one.
  5. I'd have sausage roll & pie-sellers & drink sellers wandering round the ground during the match like they do at baseball matches. Not only would club takings go up, but you would have a half decent chance of getting some food without missing ten minutes of the second-half standing in the queue at the serveries. :014:
  6. The ticketing system on Saturday worked ok. The bus was clearly marked 'Home Fans Only' and you were only allowed on the bus back into town if you had travelled on it to go to the stadium at 2.15. The only slight niggle I had was that there were three pre-teen kids who weren't allowed on the return trip as they must have either walked out or been dropped off. It seemed a shame they couldn't get on. The driver must have been under orders not to exercise any discretion - :029: maybe this will ease over time, and common sense will prevail to everyone's gain.
  7. Is it possible that DP's departure is symptomatic of a Board/Manager looking for someone to blame for poor form on the park? DP would make an obvious fall-guy. The Board couldn't possibly lay the blame at the door of the guy they've newly appointed, could they? And with so many players rumoured to be on the way out, it wouldn't be right to pick out the ones who may be staying put. A shame for Parky. Somtimes you can be in the right place at the wrong time. :rolleyes02:
  8. If the solution doesn't come from Rapsons maybe it's down to CB and the team. Giving the visitors a beating on the park might quieten their fans for the bus ride into town. :003:
  9. In previous seasons I would have totally agreed - a chance to blether to the away fans about the game, the season, and what's going on at their club. However, there's been zero chance to do that so far this season as the bus seems to getting hijacked by the nutter element who are intent on havin a square go and winding up us Caley fans. Even the decent away fans are unable to persuade them to shut the f**k up. If they can't self-police I reckon they should all be barred. There are old men, older women, and guys with young kids that will soon stop using the bus if this continues. Wouldn't blame them. Doing nothing isn't an option.
  10. Sounds like you may have the inside track on whats happening with JR. I guess the first definite sign will be if he puts his Inverness house on the market and is seen viewing properties in the central belt. If it's really personal non-club related reasons that force the decision on him, then it's a shame but understandable. Either way, the Club must handle the whole thing positively, so that it doesn't leave a sour taste if he eventually goes. If it's true, do we play him to get the best of him before he leaves? - or do we continue to select the team as if he's already gone? A quality player like him? - He would be missed. :sillywave:
  11. Thanks. Found it. Makes sense. That was a week ago. I'll email the club to find out what solution they've come up with. After all, it's not rocket science. :022:
  12. Sure, an admirable position. Let's do the away fans a real favour - and let them walk. Meantime, I know the regulars who get the bus really appreciate the gesture from the club, and it would be a shame if dads with kids and older fans start shying away from using the facility just because of the hassle factor.
  13. Something has become really noticeable this season. The free bus that goes from the Stadium to the Bus Station has always had good numbers of away fans hitching a ride. Normally that is fine & we get a bit of craic with the visitors. However, it's now gotten pretty bad. The worst of verbal abuse, insulting songs and a pretty threatening atmosphere makes the trip an ordeal for us home fans. God knows what parents with kids must feel about this? I don't know of any other SPL club that lays on a free bus for travelling fans. Should the club insist that the driver only allows home fans with season tickets/home ticket stubs to get on? After all it's our money that's paying for the bus!
  14. At the Scotland Turkey international, a bunch of fans in the south stand were singing the tune 'when the saints go marching in' with the words; oh Inverness, is wonderful oh Inverness is won-der-ful It's got a bridge and a castle, oh Inverness is won-der-ful! It started easily enough, as all it took was for one person to start 'Oh Inverness!' and folk round about started to join in. Crazy lyrics, but you can't argue with them, and everyone knows the tune! Strange though....I haven't heard it since then? :030:
  15. MMMmmmmmm.......so who will he replace on Saturday? Could McAllister's showing against Rangers have made the decision easy for CC? :024:
