  1. When the referee stands on the half way line he or she decides if visibility allows a clear enough view of both goals from where they are standing.

    That's usually the case.

So it's up to the ref tbh. The partick game was a wee bit of a joke second half and I would have liked to have seen the game called off (And, of course, we were losing.)

  2. Does this remind anyone of the whole black away kit saga? It months to get here, the season was nearly a third of the way through when it did come.

How much were those tops again? 100 quid?

  3. Im looking forward to this, as a new steak pie is like Christmas to me. I get very excited. Though they do the Pies at Celtic Park and when i had one last.....Lets just saw it wasnt the greatest. Heres hoping its just because that club is full of tight fisted arseholes though!

    Ouch. That sounds painful.

  4. Maybe Darren could negotiate the player contracts too (for the good ones we want to hang onto at least)

Tell you what Scotty, if they had signed Hayes and Esson on a five year deal that WOULD have made my day.

    Free pies on Saturday?

  5. Its nice to be able to say something nice about the club and although ordering different merchandise for the shop (even if it doesnt arrive on time because we have a crap supplier) and then looking at addressing things like the quality of the catering wont win us points on the field, it does at least prove that Darren and his team have been listening to what fans are saying or asking for and are trying to make things a little better. Well done.

Regardless of the match making the afternoon at Caley park a more pleasant experience can only be a good thing. It's a bit like the trip to Killie - the game might be shte but at least you know you'll get a good munch.

  6. If he goes, he goes. I'm still of the opinion that the club should either sit down and thrash out a new deal with the current management team or let them go. I certainly don't want MM on his own as manager if TB leaves.

  7. TB is a crackin' pundit good to see him on the telly again. :)

I've always said he's a good pundit, he's an excellent speaker and is interesting to listen to. Also I haven't really any problem with him doing this stuff, though it does seem a bit strange that he gave up his Setanta job to spend more time with ICT, but has since taken this gig.

Great number he's got. Turn up, talk about a game, get paid, go home, job done.

It you were in his boots would you be caring what they're putting up in terms of your name? Probably not.

Actually, I would be very insistent on being called "ICT Manager", IMO it's just good manners to your current employers, and his current position is nothing to be ashamed of.

Perhaps it's an indication as to how much he's really bothered...

  8. Not sure who he is but hopefully he'll be ok.

A lot of referees breaking through at the moment are applying the laws word for word - which is understandable. However the way in which players and managers are behaving towards them is, at times, vile and disgraceful. What's more even disappointing is the fact that the behaviour of players is replicated day in, day out by youngsters.

Some of the Cat 1 / FIFA list referees are excellent at having a quiet word with players on the way past. When referees don't approach the game in this manner, and officiate the game by the laws verbatim - they are lambasted. This, in my opinion, is not fair.

I wasn't at the game on Saturday, but I'm sure the last thing Alan Muir needed was a manager jumping about in the technical area when he had a game to officiate. I posted before the match that QOS would probably play dirty.

Anyway, here's hoping the officials on Saturday do a good job and we get a result.
