So much for being away from his son, taking himself out of the running and all that other nonsense.  Cameron wanted to take a 'different route' - the cheaper, mercenary route.

We chose a manager with a record no better than Jim Duffy's, Ivan Golac's or Ian MacCall's, when we could have had one of Scotland's best up and coming managers.  Disgrace.

Dundee sack Hartley, we get him in and send Dundee down. There's a thought...

Apart from Romania and the cup final, all my favourite away days have been in the lower leagues. Regardless of whether we go down or not I look forward to the next chapter.

Have you made it to many away matches this season? I thought Motherwell yesterday was a cracking awayday. The stewards were great, the home fans good banter and the catering was decent too.

The thought of going to Livingston  next season instead of Easter Road and Tynecastle doesn't exactly fill me with excitement, but each to their own, I suppose. Part time football (probably) beckons and I can see us plummeting down the leagues.

Was that ANOTHER poor decision from the ref today when the press and other fans seems to suggest that the ball was not over the line when Fon Williams scooped it up? If that goal had not ben given then  ICt might have won that game? At least according to Martin Dowden--see below.

And I have had a sneaking feeling for some time now that the power brokers who run Scottish football have not exactly  been overjoyed at the success in recent times of the jumped up little team with heart from the north whose courage and hard work have put the major monied teams such as Celtic and Rangers in their place.

And have these feelings somehow trickled down to their appointed referees accompanied by a nudge-nudge, wink-wink do you think?  Mmmm? Based solely on some of their decisions against our team  that I have seen, which were absolutely unbelievably wrong, who knows?

Sugar daddies are great while they are there but when the plug is pulled, the consequences are devastating. You just have to look at Gretna, Rangers and Nairn County to name but three. It isn't sustainable. I must also say again that I find this expectation that directors and wealthy people should be expected to subsidise loss making football clubs. The root cause of the problem is that players just about everywhere are paid more - often far, far more - than their realistic market rate.

So a future of part time players at ICTFC?

That sounds a wee bit like the claim that the NHS in Scotland is OK because it is allegedly better than the NHS in England. What I am saying is that there are SOME Inverness fans, including those booing loudly at full time on Saturday, who have been very quick and early to turn on various parts of the club. One concern I have is that, notwithstanding the fact that the team's situation is indeed very bad, some fans are already assuming that relegation is inevitable so are demanding a reckoning now rather than at the end of the season.

It's just as well James Vincent didn't come to that conclusion in the 2015 Scottish Cup Final, or the scorers of the four goals after Ayr United went 3-0 up or the team and management after Dundee built up a huge lead in 2010.

The NHS in Scotland is better than the NHS in England.

It still staggers me that Foran was kept on after that shambolic defensive show at Ross County on December 31st. He had 3 weeks to get an organised defence and blew all the beans on bringing back McKay.

As much es he is better than Doumbuoya or Fisher, what we needed was a defence. That's been the case all season, and he hasn't bothered getting one.

And the one player with a decent defensive mind, Draper, was sent up front, presumably to hold up the ball. Who would win the ball in the first place never came into the equation. A sorry state of affairs, and I would sack Foran at the split no matter what the result on Saturday. There'll be 5 games to save our skin mostly against other teams who have struggled, and an impact on the mindset is needed.

Green dot for the first sentence.

been told this what a board member said to a friend of mine Foran took us down and he going take us back up so it Looks like it they are not going to sack him

and thing is when we go down we will not come back up to spl

Sadly this is the case. Mid table mediocrity in the Championship (at best) beckons.

I really don't think Sutherland has anything to do with it. The board took a huge gamble on Foran, which was partly dictated by circumstances, and seemed like a possible solution at the time. Their failure is in not acting when the writing was on the wall, in January/February.

All appointments are a gamble, including Butcher and Hughes, which they were at the time.

Action should have been taken on the day this thread was started. Even if we'd got Donald Park back to work as Foran's assistant. Sadly it's too late now and I can't see any other outcome than relegation.

Absolute garbage. Just because you like going on the pish in Ayr, Dumfries, etc.doesn't make this good for the club I'm any way. Relegation would be an absolute disaster, even more so if our neighbours stay up.

The real blame here needs to reside at the door of the clueless, faceless board who are utterly invisible and show no direction, vision or aptitude to manage a Premiership club.

    SACK THE BOARD

Where does one start. I'll start with Laing. I lost count of the number of passes he sprayed into the stands or out of the park. Shockingly poor distribution. Drape I'm afraid looks a spent force. Warren same as Draper and apparently sent off in the tunnel. Bye Bye Gary. Fon Williams......... I just don't know anymore, palmed the sharp cross right into the feet of the St Johnstone strikers. Only Miles Storey could miss a chance like that. Kev played well enough but maybe needs more stamina as he was subbed, McCart, never really noticed him but on the other hand he probably never did much wrong. Cole looked lively at times. Aggrieved to be sent off, and rightly so. Fouled as he broke forward, spoke to the ref who booked him, must have said something else and was sin binned. Tansey not perfect but probably the best of a bad bunch. Tremarco Gave away the penalty and never threatened enough going forward. That's probably credit to St Johnstone who had us sussed and shut us down high up the park. Fisher, wanted more game time, got it, and vindicated Foran's decision not to play him more often.  Billy, well he always gives his all but even he was getting frustrated at the lack of opportunities being created. King played well when he came on, reminded us how it felt like to play with a winger at times. Polworth should have been on from the start and Boden was....... well Boden, absolutely anonymous.

This may all seem a bit harsh, but it's been coming in our season of demise. As for Richie Foran, a really likeable geezer, but give me a break. I know quite a few guys that went out of their way at the end to express their displeasure rather than make their way to the nearest hostelry to drown their sorrows.

All is not lost yet, but it's very close to becoming our second relegation.

Didn't read this. It's all about the darts.

The buck stops with the board who appointed an ex player with absolutely no managerial experience to carry the can for themselves after being allegedly turned over(financially) by John Hughes. Whether JH was still on the payroll after he left I have no idea, but RF appointment was a knee jerk reaction to the boards mismanagement of JH and now we are reaping the rewards.

    Can't argue with this.

St Johnstone, they are really the miracle of Scottish Football.  They are a club from a small city with a population less than Inverness and with bigger city clubs not far away, and yet for a significant majority of the last 60 years they have had a team in the top league.

St Johnstone do well off the field commercially. They have a good scouting network too.

I hope so. In my view, 'Pride of the Highlands' is great for a flag or banner but not at all appropriate for our official club crest.

    I agree. It's cringeworthy.

  14. Rodgers celtic side keep their focus for the entirety of their matches. I'd be inclined to physically narrow the field of play - giving celtic the playing space will lead to them punishing us again. I fully expect us to do what Hamilton have tried to do and park the bus.
