  1. If I was Mark Brown and had the opportunity he's been given I would grab it especially reading some of the posts telling him he's a money grabber and a traitor after all we've done for him.  I think a few people forget that it is his profession and he has the right to go to a club with better facilities and a place where let's face it the coaching staff will improve him playing or not. And he has shown 5 years of loyalty to this club and he has always acknowledged it was our club that saved his career.  So to the snipers out there having a go at him why don't you maybe try congratulating him on being such a big part of our Challenge Cup and First Division success.  Being a key figure in the last 3 SPL seasons and not once kicked up a fuss bar one recent interview. And I'm sorry but Boruc isn't that good a keeper he is average it's the defence that make his statistics look so good.  If Mark believes he can get into the starting eleven at Celtic then who are we to tell him he won't?  Boruc might get injured and Mark might seize his opportunity you don't know!  Maybe he'll have a change of heart and decide he wants to be at a club where he is number one.  Time will tell but for goodness sake get off his back he's been a great servant to the club anyway!

  2. I don't think it's Dargo's fault and I do think somebody had to say something about the lack of service especially at home games.  Every first half at home is the same we never do very much except give Roy or Barry the ball and then they don't do much with it.  Second half we start passing the ball about the midfield a wee bit but for some reason Dodds, Munro and Tokely especially Dodds sees the need to constantly boot the ball from his box to the oppositions even when under no prssure.  This I don't understand our midfield is made up of people under 6ft tall pretty much and Dargo and Wyness aren't gonna win a high ball against a big defence.  Then comes the last fifteen minutes and everybody realises that passing the ball on the ground works a lot better and we start playing some really good football switching the play from wing to wing, using our more technical players like Black and Wyness to link up play and creating chances.

I do however think that every player on the park is giving 100% to the team the effort being put in by the whole squad has been brilliant.  Maybe Santa will bring Roy some boots that make him shoot after one of his mazy runs and Tokely the ability to run up and down the wing the way he used to!  Lol

  3. Russell Duncan needs brought back into the squad!  He does all the dirty work and lets the Blacks and Rankins get forward more where they can use there skill and precision to the maximum benefit of the squad!  He's not a pretty footballer to watch but I think with him playing we will concede fewer goals than we are aswell as creating better attacking options for those around him.

  4. I thought Rossco had a good game on Saturday considering he missed most of the pre-season!  He just didn't come forward as much as the fully fit Ross would but that will come in the next few games! One thing I do wonder about though is apart from Caff who I class as a central defender who can perform in left and right back when asked, who else do we have now that can fill that position if Tokely was to get injured or has a dip in form? Both Parratt and Proctor are gone now.

  5. Yeah it's in The Highland News about Noel Hunt maybe being a transfer target. Not too sure about him but we do seem to have the knack of getting the best out of "average" players and turning them into "good" players.

  6. Bavidge did have the chance to stay with us but it was during the time of uncertainty for a lot of clubs financially and we were turning full-time. He decided he wanted to stay part time so he could finish his (I think) geology degree in Aberdeen so he would have something to fall back on if football didn't work out. I thought Bavidge would have become a great player for us if he stayed.

  7. You get what you give and we have been pretty poor fans at home this season to the team. Fair enough people have paid their money and gone to support the team but we have all myself included not given everyting to make a better atmosphere at home games this season. Instead focusing on which player can be targeted for abuse for making a mistake or not scoring a 40 yard screamer. Away has been brilliant at the games I went to, the atmosphere has been good and players have been given 100% support even if they weren't playing all that well. We used to play in a fortress where teams feared coming to play us now even our own players must hate playing in front of us and all for the wrong reasons. So I think the players were quite right in just clapping and going away they should save their energy for the fans who have been there for them on Saturday. And I won't be there I don't have enough money to go.

  8. It was good seeing a few youngsters playing especially local youngsters being given the chance to play in the first team. Well done to Mike Fraser, Zander Sutherland and Stuart Soane every I.C.T fan was proud of you tonight each one was superb! :D

  9. Here's more detail:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/i...als/4946226.stm

    Full squad:

Alexander (Cardiff), Marshall (Celtic), Smith (Motherwell), Anderson (Aberdeen), G Caldwell (Hibernian), S Caldwell (Sunderland), McManus (Celtic), Murty (Reading), Naysmith (Everton), Weir (Everton), Burke (Rangers) McCulloch (Wigan), Murray (Rangers), Quashie (West Brom), Severin (Aberdeen), Teale (Wigan), Boyd (Rangers), McFadden (Everton), Maloney (Celtic), Miller (Wolves).

  10. Paul Hartley never exactly set the first division alight but look at him now! There are exceptions. I think if Juanjo wants to stay he should stay for pre-season try and earn a deal and if it doesn't happen he gets to go and sign for another club as he's out of contract anyway. Only thing that might ruin my idea is deadlines from other clubs and the budget available to our squad for next season.

  11. The Juanjo loan had been agreed before CC took over so it was really just Brewsters ignorance and mistreatment of players that saw him going out on loan. Players like Hart and Juanjo never stood a chance with him. Even the likes of Morgan who has great potential wasn't really given much of a looking! So much for Brewsters "Team" without an automatic eleven!

Back to the topic now! Rory has the potential and maybe using him a bit more now the season is ending would be a good idea to help him develop a better taste of the SPL. I remember seeing him at Pitoddrie at New Year and he was so hungry and gave 110% he was just thrown into the deep end too soon so a few run arounds now we have a seventh place to aim for. Personally I would prefer we gave other up and coming talent a try in the team and maybe see the likes of Keogh etc given a run around than finish seventh it would be more beneficial although seventh place would be great aswell!

  12. Aye and apparently he won't tell Calderwood who he's signing for but says it definately won't be Dundee Utd! If players from that donkey team Aberdeen have the sense to turn down Brew then hopefully the boys from our squad will do too! Brew needs all the abuse he can get when he returns to the Caledonian Stadium!
