  1. I remember a while back we had a white/orange away kit

I still have this top it's ridiculously good quality still looks brand new almost. And it's long sleeved.

  2. The fans werent behind him. The squad wasnt behind him. As bad as it sounds he simply wasnt wanted in Inverness! It wouldnt have mattered if he had another 10 years to save us once the respect goes there is no coming back.

  3. That he did but it was too late. Who for the most part trained Morais and developed him for the rest of the season. If Brewster had that eagle eye for talent 6 months earlier he may have kept his job. His tactics were woeful at the best of times.

  4. Who is good enough for ICT then?

As far as I can see If Brewster isn't good enough (not my opinion) then Butcher certainly isn't good enough.

If Butcher is that great a manager he would have kept us up comfortably because like I've already said we by no means had the worst squad in the league. Not even the second worst at that.

The blame lies with the ''fans'' that called for his head and the board for bending over backwards to make them happy.

How did they do more than Brewster during his second spell.

What did they do that he didn't?

Every other manager other than Brewster that we have had has been good enough for ICT so far. Each has contributed in some way to the success of ICT. Brewster is a young person in coaching terms and can still make a good coach maybe even manager if he learns from his mistakes that he has made both here and at Utd.

I'm not saying Butcher is a great manager but he is more experienced and on the whole of it more successful.

And I agree with you Butcher has cost us a few points I feel with his obsession in playing too deep when defending a one goal lead.

It's a new chapter now though. Brewster left at the right time. It's time to move on and get behind the team that is here now and not the one that was around pre january. He is part of County now and that is where his name should be getting discussed not here.

  5. I don't hate Brewster. I am disappointed he never played for us when we were crying out for an experienced striker. I lost a lot of respect for him after he went immediately to the dirty Gypos and pulled on their shirt after apparently having a busted shoulder.

He gave 100% to the club. He also did a lot of damage to what was once a solid squad. Ultimately he was NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ICT. Nobody knows how TB and MM are going to do in the first division but they did a much better job in the short time they were at the club than Brewster did the entire time he was manager in his second spell.

  6. I can only hope that Foran's working relationship with Butcher might get him too stay but i won't hold my breath.

    Ta ta Filipe.

Don't think Foran is staying either unfortunately if the P&J is anything to go by.

But back on topic it's a bit rubbish that Morais is leaving. He is a good technical player though I can see him going back to England.

  7. A couple of Hearts fans I've spoken to have said that there is a rumour that they are interested in him. They are apparently interested in Dougie Imrie too though so how reliable it is I have no idea.

  8. Cheers Alex and ajsict92. The contracts offered to the rest of the squad have no real deadline apparently. I'm nervous now and just want to find out who is staying and going at the club. At the same time I am really wanting to get stuck into next season.

  9. I remember both Tokely and Don Cowie saying that Vigurs was genrally late for training.

There are still many young prospects in our youth pool. Shane Sutherland, Jamie Duff, Dale Gillespie etc.

Would love to see these guys be more involved next season.

Will TB play the younger ones next season

Hopefully they will get a chance. How many substitutes are we allowed on the bench in the first? Do we still have to use that under 21 rule?

  10. We pretty easily disposed of Partick in the cup earlier this season.

And conversly....pretty much struggled to dispose of Morton!

Point taken however like Partick, Morton are up there with us as the teams to challenge for the first. What I was trying to say is that our squad is already better than a lot of first division teams.

The strikers need improved, a centre midfielder is needed and the defence needs to be made more consistent.

If we do this I feel we will stand a good chance of challenging for the title.

  11. Tokely has been abysmal at times this season! He has also been brilliant too. Iain Black has been much more consistent in form this season.

I agree with roscoe23 on this one.

Tokely is just as culpable as the rest of the squad for the season gone by. Imrie puts a lot of heart and effort into games does that mean he should be given the same status as Tokely?

Tokely didn't put his life on the line I would love to know how that conclusion was drawn.

  12. It's going to be so competitive in the first division but if we can keep the core of the squad we will be in a good position. We pretty easily disposed of Partick in the cup earlier this season. We need to make sure we get some strikers that know where the back of the net is more than once every ten games.

  13. Is Mihadjuks not still under contract at Ventpils? He wasn't our player for definite.

As far as I remember he was meant to be released from his contract and Ventspils changed their mind at the last minute to make it a loan deal. I would imagine it would be less the wage demands and more that a transfer fee would need to be paid hence why we cannot sign him.

It was mentioned in the match programme (I don't have one, maybe somebody else can check who does) that he definately had to go back to Ventspils after Saturdays game. It didn't say if it was to negotiate a release or what.

I think Kerr has played well for us since he has come into the team. He needs a bit more presence sometimes but he hasn't done any worse than anybody else I don't think.

I agree with jaimieb we have lost big players in the past and we have always survived.

  14. I think alot of people will agree with you on that. He was sh*t hot in the 2nd division we took him to the SPL he was gash and now were in the 1st division he might just find his level and if we go back up he might find the net this time

I think you are right I just have the feeling that next season in division 1 might give some players the kick up the back side they need. It's going to be Barrowmans final chance (realistically) to show what he can do.

I have a feeling that not all these decisions are coming from Terry himself but from Graeme Bennett and maybe the board too. I'm probably completely off the mark but it has crossed my mind.

I am interested to know what this Plan B is in full that Bennett is talking about in the newspaper.

  15. Looks like we are stuck with Mcguire as well... 1st Div... Mcguire, proctor, Barrowman, Imrie.... :024:

Imrie will do fine in the 1st division he did good with Clyde as for Barrowman i think we'll just need to wait and see if this is his league

I know a few or maybe more likely a lot of people will disagree with me here but I think Barrowman could be a key factor for us next season.

It all depends on if we keep him of course.

  16. Not impressed by Vigurs being released either. As I have said in another thread why do we even bother bringing up youth development players, keep them in the squad for a season or so without really giving them a chance and then getting rid of them.

  17. Why are we not at least offering Mihadjuks a contract :024: Proctor and djebi-zadi are getting offers but not pavels. Bizzare

Mihadjuks is still contracted to his club in Latvia so we would have to pay a fee for him to come back. Don't know how much it would have cost to bring him back. He did mention in the programme on Sat he wanted to stay but never said if it was even if we got relegated or not.

Bit gutted but a bit more concerned at the depths of the cuts we are making. From what Bennett is saying it is going to be quite a lot.

  18. Would have liked to have kept Vigurs on he had the potential to be a good player for us.

Good luck Iain wherever you end up.

Just like the majority of our youth products we have kept you hanging on and ditched you onto the scrapheap. Why do we even have a youth development if we are never going to give anybody a chance!
