  1. If its true...got no reason to doubt you then Ive got mixed feelings.

He never amounted to much after all the hype about him and he couldnt wait to clear off but he did really well to begin with at Stevenage and could offer us something a bit different in the middle of the park...not fan of going back though.

  2. Does anyone recall his solo run from his own half, before rounding Brown...only to have his goal stolen by the little troll that is Anthony Stokes, many moons ago against Falkirk? I think he was 38 at that point.

  3. As a player he brings domestic, European and even world cup experience to the table. I'd say Yogi has got the best buy possible out of people he knows. His coaching experience may not be as vast but this is a great place for him to build on it.

  4. Terrific move. He brings a wealth of experience as well as a history of being a quality player back in his day. He could certainly help most of our midfielders raise the game with what he knows. Could prove to be a very shrewd move from Yogi.

What about Farid El Alagui? Fallen out of favour at Brentford apparently. Proven goalscorer in Division One at Falkirk, and offers something to Mckay. Don't know if he'd come here, but he'd be a good signing I think.

Good chance we will see him at the TCS on Sunday. Unfortunately, not for us.

We should have got him or Lyle Taylor.

Will be Daryl Duffy or Pedro Moutinho now I reckon  :tongueincheek:

In all seriousness another striker is definitely needed. Too risky relying on blooding youngsters. If they were making an impression then they would have dislodged Toby ages ago and he would have been away even earlier. Whether Billy is sold or gets injured it aint worth the risk.

  6.

:clapoverhead::clapoverhead::clapoverhead: What a truly memorable, inventive and considered response -:lol: - well worth the wait - I wonder what gem of wisdom is coming next as he progressively makes more of an erse of himself ?

    Mad stalker :-)

    You would know  ...

  7. Ross County have resigned Evangelos Oikonomou on a six month deal and also Michael Tidser on loan from Rotherham.

Tidser was one of the best players in the 1st Division last season. Obviously not quite worked out down south. Interesting to see what kind of an impact he makes in the top flight here.

I am sure Man Utd fans are happy you were not rustling up this sort of rubbish about Alex Ferguson 25 years ago.

His attempt to stamp his management ideas took longer than you are offering John Hughes.

    lol

If hughes had recently won the second tier european trophy with Aberdeen, I think we'd be prepared to give him a decade to get it right.

Man United were not Second when Ferguson took over.

What exactly is this John Hughes stamp youre waiting for?

Stop trotting utter garbbage, the people will soon be voting with thier feet and Cameron is the one who should pay the price, not Hughes. Cameron has to take full responsibility for this .He had the chance to take on Telfor or Hartley but both carried baggage ie assistants that would need paid and compo . Unfortunately Cameron's decision in appointing John Hughes has been an absolute car crash : you can take cally out of inverness but you can't take inverness out of cally !!! IMHO

IIRC one of the newspapers during the managerial saga said essentially that. Hartley was all ready to go, but Cameron changed his mind and switched to Hughes at the eleventh hour. Cheaper option with Cameron telling yogi to appoint an assistant from within the club . Now that he's bombed they might let him bring in an experienced number 2 to try and keep the fans happy .

    How has he "bombed"?

I will let you work that one out mate :-)

So after 6 games, you've decided that he's failed - ridiculous thinking.

What crystal ball do you use eagle...I would like one.

  9. What gingerjaggy says is fair. The season is still far from over and with everything to play for. We will be fighting the next few games in the face of adversity, it could just be the catalyst we need to kick start our season. No Foran, no Draper etc. On the back of the derby you could see how gutted some of the lads were. These things sometimes have a funny way of helping players raise their game...flip side is we could get gubbed, most of us will still be there regardless.

Like it or not, want Hughes or not we just have to ride the hard times as fans and support the players out there on the pitch. Its not happy clapping and its not pulling wool over eyes...its support.

  10. If its Foran who is raising the team then it should have been him who was made manager. The players have coped without him in the past and there is no excuse for them not to this time around.

Yogi needs to be more active in the dugout, that I agree with. Too many times yesterday he even had his back turned. I hope he isnt too concerned about tainting "Terry's legacy" as he has often referred to. He needs to stop talking about it as Terry's team. Its his team now. Talking about Terry wont help.

We were very poor again. County were winning every 50/50 ball and our play was breaking up far too easily. We really miss Foran. We no longer look dangerous goin forward and it would be nice if we could stop the long balls up top because nothing is coming from them. Raven should definitely be on the right and Shinnie on the left or even in central midfield. Terrible performance.

If hibs win today that's the gap down to 6 -no pressure AJ !!

Merely stating my thoughts, if you dont like it scroll down  :furtive:

I never knew standard of my contribution was an issue...I still feel stalked.

  13. Gutless performance, disjointed and wrongly selected team and the fiery performance we have seen from the majority of these players in previous derbies was nowhere to be found.

Ross County for all their flaws as a side simply wanted it more, they pressed all over the pitch, were on to every second ball and when it came to aerial challenges they were the dominant team.

Yogi may well have had no Foran or Vincent still to choose from and lost Marley Watkins early into the game but why oh why is he persisting with Shinnie at right back. He has been in charge of 3 home games that have seen us score only twice while leaking in 7. He has a perfectly good right back in Raven sitting waiting to get on - use him ffs!

Williams im sorry to say will never be a holding midfielder. The boy is an out and out winger. Hasnt got the strength or tenacity for where he's playing. Think the midfield situation will need to be analyzed in the window. We are far too lightweight in there.

Toby is not the most graceful of players but he at least put a shift in and was prepared to put a shot at goal when it came his way, something that most others seem to bottle out of when they got towards the penalty area.

In some respects I have sympathy for Hughes - he is trying to win over a majority of people that didnt want him or even imagine him being in charge to begin with but he has only taken 1 win from 6. 3 of those games being against teams near the bottom. He needs to get this team back to winning ways or he will find what support he has will further dwindle,

County didnt even have to play that well today. Got 2 lucky breaks and shut up shop for their first win in 11. We gifted them that game.

Draper didnt help us with his red. Yet to see the footage but he seemed to lean in with his elbow. Bad time to lose our only holding midfielder. The boys really need to regroup and get back to the form both we and they know that they are capable of producing...

    Rant over

  14. He is being played out of position ffs. He is a winger, not a holding mid. He had a poor first half but I actually thought he was beginning to grow into the game more as it went on. Judge on what he does in his natural position.
