  1. On the back of the game against Aberdeen it was a pathetic display. We could have been there all night and not managed a goal. As Renegade said Killie barely had to play well to win, we were just much much worse.

We played the ball well enough in midfield at times but we struggled to get past their defence, both out wide and through the middle. Maybe it was the semi final on the minds or maybe they just werent up for it, either way it was submissive.

Polworth should have been hooked at half time, his distribution was abysmal at times and it was spotted early enough and its what led to the 2nd goal and with game changers like Tansey, Vincent and Draper at our disposal at least 2 of the 3 could have been used...granted Meekings injury did not help.

I feel sorry for Billy, again he was forced to feed off punts and was getting forced out wide to receive the ball too much leaving no one in the box. Doran and Williams got on the ball enough in the 2nd half but you could probably count on one hand the number of times they got past their man.

I really do hope we pick up and learn our lessons from today. Next week is the biggest game of the season and after the heartbreak of last season it dosent bear thinking going out again.

Rant over because aside from that I had a brilliant day. Atmosphere was excellent and pretty hilarious at times, as well as getting a pint with a few Killie fans in the Sports bar, the first time Ive ever got any banter from away support on my travels.

Toughen up lads and try to remember you still have plenty to play for this season...Roll on Easter Road (and the 7am start  )

  2.

Making a move for Magennis seems like even more of a shout now.

    or Scott Vernon.....

Reckon Rooney and Vernon will be top two choices. Zola wont get let go this quickly. Magennis is a solid unit, he knows Billy and his contract is expiring...its the smart move.

  3. Aye, The Sun report that Adam Rooney is wanted by 7 Scottish clubs - Aberdeen (favourites), Hibs, Dundee Utd, Killie, St J, St M and County.

I also noticed while reading my daily copy of the Swindon Advertiser over breakfast that Rooney is still involved in a legal action against Swindon Town.

"Rooney’s representatives came to an agreement with the board of former owner Andrew Black back in August 2012 which ensured the forward’s loan move from Birmingham would lead to a permanent contract last August, only for Town to renege on the deal as they suggested the paperwork was not legitimate."

How many more strikers to County want?

Would imagine he will either head to whichever team dosent get Greatpenis (Aberdeen or St Johnstone) or TB will be all over this move.

  4.

This does really make a mockery of the whole suspension system. When you can juggle your fixtures about so your best players are available for your most important games it becomes a bit farcical.

And it is what caused Elgin to be stripped of the Highland League title in 1993.

Hearts have known since October that the game v St Mirren would have to be rescheduled. And all of a sudden it gets rescheduled with only 1 weeks notice. It stinks. If I could think of something Hearts could be stripped of I'd demand that they be stripped of it.

Hmmm, strips is all that are left to strip from Hearts...none of us want to see that, especially where Ryan Stevenson is concerned.

  5. If he plays he plays, Foran talking up his chances of being back for the game. Vincent and Draper will be back and a number of the boys will be well up for this after the heartbreak of last season, Hearts may well be motivated for it with nothing else to play for but with a point to prove and last season to make up for so will our boys.

  6. Alex and Kingsmills sum up my thoughts entirely - cheers chaps. Orion have kept us in out of the red which is fair enough but a fresh injection of cash from another source would be welcome and could go a long way towards other possible ventures.
