Gordon Fyfe Joins ICTFC Board of Directors
In the main I agree Charles, but it doesn't really matter how these people acquired their shares. Financially the shares are not worth a penny but they control this club and my only interest is that the club survives. We need MONEY/INVESTMENT to achieve this but If you have any better ideas please share them.

Gordon Fyfe Joins ICTFC Board of Directors
I think you know exactly what I mean Charles. If you held the level of shares the McGilvray family and Alan Savage own surely you would want a very strong representation on the board to ensure their investment is secure. With the greatest respect to Gordon Fyfe, Ì am sure his PR ability is not under question but I don't think he moves in circles which would attract the investment needed here or make a personal investment to justify a seat on the board. Times have changed when it was ok to sit on the board with a small shareholding. In my opinion directors should have a minimum £50k shareholding or at least represent someone holding that level but again that is just my view. We need to attract big investment to this club or we go bust - simple - just look at the balance sheet.

do you mean the organisation responsible for transferring the lease to others with commercial objectives?

I think I'll wait and see how this works out as our club needed someone with access to much needed funding. I don't even know if he holds any shares but I suppose it's easy enough to check. sorry to see even our major shareholders don't have a seat on the board.

Average attendance
Spot on. Being run by a group of plonkers sitting round a table talking about a product they new nothing about has murdered this club.

Unfortunately all good things come to an end some time.

didn't think for one moment that fans attended just for pies

can't remember how much we had to pay last time but I don't think it was £20 (and the pies were better and cheaper)

ICTFC Gain SFA Progressive Performance Award
bizarre? too many secrets at this club so if you don't mind I'll ask questions thru channels I feel appropriate. i don't suppose i will get an answer if the club are not making contributions to compare with the likes of hamilton motherwell and killie. If our pr people feel its good to tell they will answer thru any channel.

ICTFC Gain SFA Progressive Performance Award
Thanks for the advice. Maybe all future questions relating to the club should be made direct instead of on this forum.

ICTFC Gain SFA Progressive Performance Award
What a bright idea.

ICTFC Gain SFA Progressive Performance Award
Although your post is informative Tree, are you in a position to answer the question of how much the club is investing in this area?
-
ICTFC Gain SFA Progressive Performance Award
when you consider the objective of our youth development department and the exceptional return in our short history, it may now be appropriate to ask, in the interests of being open with fans, just how much the Club (not the sfa or sponsors) actually invests in this area and how much would need to be invested to attain the top level?

the football club board were probably only involved when the lease was transferred to the Trust. I believe the Trust directors were messrs Sutherland Sellar and Stewart who would be involved in the next transfer. Maybe they sould answer the next set of questions. It was always a mystery how the Trust could service the debt involved and maybe this was a reason to move the lease on to the next in line, whoever that was.

The Companies Act 2006 gives shareholders the right to ask to see a number of documents. For example, these include: The Register of Members (under section 116 of the Companies Act)

as major shareholders they are asking very direct questions shareholders should have been asking many years ago. I hope they get the answers to expose what has actually gone on. ?

i agree Kingsmills. if the individual is not personally making a substantial investment or representing someone who can, he/she should have proven ability to source/attract such investment. the dof job is different cos shareholders know exactly what the role is. IMO the days of appointing pals has gone.

maybe but shareholders need to know what value he or she will bring to the club and at the moment that's money!
