To me, Aberdeen away is the only one that looks really tricky. Should really win the rest.

  2. I've just had a brainwaveabout the best way to combat the Rangers defence and get passed that old pensioner David Weir:

    ---------------------------------------------Esson---------------------------------------------------

    -----------Proctor----------Mihadjuks-----------------------Duff------------Hastings-------------------

    -------------------Morais--------------------Tokely----------------Black------------------------------

    ------------------------------Imrie-----------------------Djebi-Zadi-----------------------------------

    ---------------------------------------------Foran----------------------------------------------------

Subs - Fraser, Vigurs, Rooney, Kerr, Munro, Odhiambo, Wood

A Christmas Tree formation can be used here. Esson in goal, move Proctor to right-back, Duff instead of Munro, put Hastings back in at left back and Mihadjuks into his normal centre-back postition. Morais on the right, Black on the left side of the middle three with Tokely at centre-midfield to combat the strong Rangers midfield. Imrie at right attacking midfield with Roran as centre-forward with Djebi-Zadi at attacking left midfield. Weir is old and slow so if Lionel can use his pace to get passed him and knock the ball onto Foran or Imrie it'll be a winning combination.

Lol do you just draw players out of a hat randomly to play in certain positions as well as some radom formation! Dejebi-Zadi in attacking mid! Rememer when he came on at left mid he was completely lost

It's an act of genius to put Lionel there. Weir is slow, Lionel is fast. Lionel can get passed Weir, Weir turns like an oil tanker and can't catch him. Simple.

  3. So Tokely practically battered Steven McGarry on the pitch last season and he isn't considered a hard man hahaha.

I wonder if Pavels mayb'e has a dark side to him.

Imrie is no hard man, just a cheeky poser.

Would have to agree Renegade a hardman is required for this team.

Given his record and your undying love for him i take it your going to suggest Kevin Muscat?

Tokely's maybe the "hardman" of ICT but I wouldn't say he was anywhere near as thuggish as the likes of Fernando Ricksen. Imrie is not a harman in any way, shape or form, just a wee ned.

I knew someone so going to mention Muscat cause of that other thread. I wouldn't call it undying love but I admire him a great deal. I admire his passion, his pressence, his determination, his leadership on the park, and if you manage to be captain of a team like Millwall, and then manage to take then to the FA Cup Final then you must have something. He's really the hardman of hardmen. Apparently he's out of contract just now and he'd be exactly what ICT need and hopefully Butcher know's this. After all he did say that if he could sign any player at all, Muscat would be who he would sign. Sign him up Butcher!

  5. Name a few of these players then?

Phil McGuire - Seemed to be Brew's favourite defender last season. Don't know why as he was always hideous.

Russell Duncan - Don't know what the fuss is about him at all. Passing's garbage and so's just about everything else.

Grant Munro - Some players seem to have a purpose in the team. Whether it be defending or attacking, or both. Don't what was his purpose is though, other being captain. And a pretty poor one might I add.

  6. Here's something you never see anyone mention but is still desperatley needed, a hardman. Almost all of the most successful teams are built around them. You could argue that Russell Duncan and Ross Tokely are the "hard men" of ICT but they're hardly thuggish in the Roy Keane, Fernando Ricksen, Terry Butcher kinda way and with Ian Black offski it's desperatley needed. Anyone got any ideas on who'd be a good hardman signing for next season?

  7. Im still proud of inverness we should have wan but motherwell still good.

The Ref didn't help matters or the lines man!!

    why change a winning side?

    Duncan out Kerr back in!!

we will get 3 points at ibrox don't worry :rotflmao: !

    Totaly agree.

he should have been sacked when he had that shocker last season at the dundee utd, rangers game.

Why do we always seem to the the worst refs when we play Motherwell??

The refereeing was no to bad for a while.

We falling back into our same old ways.

Am afraid that the Butcher Honeymoon is over and It's back to reality.

If we keep going this way and if we lose to falkirk later on this month I'm afraid it could be game over and relegation.

I hate looking at it this way but I'm just facing the truth.

  8. how do you think butcher will look at the game???

will he change duncan and black for kerr and mcbain???

will he tell the team to sit back or tell them to attack???

will he just tell the players to go out and in joy themselfs as he nos like most of the fans that we wont get anything from the game

    Wow, that post is Reedee-esque!!!!!!!!!

  9. Id like to see him on a proper contract. and get that super striker in. The new Pahars only less injury prone! (pahars was latvian right?)

Are we even allowed to talk about it as it seems some big secret? Nowt'll come of it.

  10. What you mean by that?

Tokely could save us from relegation with a hatrick every game. But he is still a very poor footballer who is not SPL standard.

What I mean by that is that you seem to have an unhealthly obsession with your hatred of Tokely. You've also wrongly taken the second part of my post literally. Oh, and by the way, "El Tel" is not Terry Butcher, it's actually Terry Venables.

  11. Whats with the Tokely bashing..............he was one of our better players, along with Foran and Imrie who again worked his socks off, but the final ball was given away too often.

Some people seem to have a vendetta against poor wee Rosscoe. I think he's alright myself, but may be better somewhere in the midfield.

  12. Okay calm down I was only asking. And anyway why is it such a big secret? Given the club names is no different to folk on here saying ICT should sign such and such.

  13. Heard at my party that Pavels hasn't been issued with a contract, only till end of the season. My friend told me that Latvian FA have / are aware that he is doing ok in Scotland and lets face it Latvia need a better defence.

To me it would make business sense to sign him now, whilst he is happy/ish and then if he makes the Latvian team, you are selling an International Player

Also I passed on another name to CB and heard nothing more, a player who scored 17 times in 17 games and he speaks the same language as Eric, no IHE French, a good midfield striker. Wee but Fast

I must stress to everyone I am NOT an agent, just an expat who wants to see ICT stay in the SPL

So what's his name then and does he play in the Latvian league?

  14. -------------------------------------Esson---------------------------------------------
