  1. I am with BT and it has been doing the same thing! Right pain however, we did have SKY broadband and it was so much slower so this cutting out for me is so much better than the speed we got with SKY. They promised more and it was poor.

  2. I hated how when England lost against Germany Andy became Britain's hope. Like England were a hope for us Scots!

If he is out today he will be Scottish in the am!

    Come on Andy!!

  3. Where would you suggest they set the boundaries? There's is not a lifestyle choice. There's is a way of life. A tradition going back hundreds of years. Is their way the wrong way and yours the right? If those people made your lifestyle choices and chose to move into the house next door to yours would you think any differently of them?

Boundaries as in - leave schools alone, leave play parks alone.

Well actually two doors down from me a family who travel for 6months maybe more of the year live. So as a family and I am sure many others who live in homes for X amount of months during the year should know that there are certain places that shouldn't be acceptable to park up. I am sure they wouldn't appreciate me setting up camp in their front garden. I don't think any different of them to any other person living on my street.

  4. Quite a balanced argument this well done, I was expecting loads of comments along the lines of mrsictfc posts. incidentally she does not come accross as racist although a bit snobby and NIMBY.

I am not a snob  nor am I a racist.

I am not saying they shouldn't do what they do, what I am saying is they should have set boundaries and not park in school grounds regardless of their reasons. Regardless of what you all say there does seem to be a feeling that because this is a lifestyle choice they can get away with things that other people cannot.

  5. I think someone's looking to be offended. Let's see what happened with direct quotes:

    "There has been no trouble"

"the police spoke to them on Sunday morning and at that point the travellers indicated they would be leaving"

"they had stopped to deal with a mechanical problem with one of their vehicles"

"We are waiting on it being fixed and then we are going to move on to Thurso"

"TRAVELLERS who occupied the car park of a city secondary school over the weekend moved on yesterday afternoon"

    Storm in a teacup.

I'll remember that next time I park my car illegally 'sorry officer it wont start', IMO no excuse for the whole lot of them to be there.

  6. Forget this Playstations and DVD players in their cells, and people pandering after them...looking after their welfare and making excuses for them.........HARD LABOUR is what is required.

One of the reasons they get these are because it keeps them quiet. So much easier if they are content for the prison officers.

  7. Ok, so I am going to sound thick here but as it stands (1 more to go for Scotland) the Tories only have one seat within Scotland. So technically if they manage to form a government and it is approved the UK will be run by them and Scotland who overall didn't want them in will have to deal with it? That doesn't sound fair or am I missing something?

You are missing something, you are breaking the UK down into areas instead of looking at the UK as a whole. Like it or not we are part of the UK and the election which was held yesterday was for the whole of the UK, not just Scotland. You could look at it another way and say that England, which does not have a devolved parliament of it's own, has voted for Conservative yet the Scottish Lib Dems and Labour could become a part of a coalition which rules that country, giving Scots more of a say than they deserve in the running of England as a country, at least we have Hollyrood which has a lot of power of it's own to take care of our needs. When you take into consideration that we only have around 10% of the UK populous then I would say that Scotland has a far bigger say in UK politics after this election than we are due!

It would depend on what kind of spin you want to put on the result.

    Thanks for that! x

  9. This must be a laugh? This is not ICTFC-Kev but his brother. It was me wearing the morphsuit (thanks whoever left the link for the morphsuit website) My name is Darren Zuckert (18), I bought it for fun because i wanted it for a laugh and also because I will be wearing it at Rockness and T in the Park. Can not believe people are labelling me a racist for wearing it. But to be on the safe side I will be asking for permission next time I am planning on a bit of fun  Also thank yoiu for everyone being brilliant craic at the game, fantastic day out for everyone at the game and a fitting tribute to the champions

To be honest I am shocked that someone could be labelled a racist at wearing such a thing.

I honestly think that people who suggest things like that are making the world bloody mad. I am glad you had a good laugh! Maybe wear a purple one next time and they can slag you for your dislike to Barney.

  10. If I felt the Lib Dems had a real chance I might vote for them because I feel they would deliver on some level of electoral reform.

If everyone who says that votes for the Lib Dem, they would get into power.

OK then. Lib Dems it is!

Exactly, my husband said to me that he would want to vote for lib dems but he thinks it would be a waste and would rather pick between the main two. However, I said if everyone thought like that then of course they would never get in. So he will now vote for lib dems, just like me.
