  1. Is that really relevant? I don't think sex has got anything at all to do with dangerous driving unless the driver is partaking in it. :023:

I'm sure it's been tested. However, you know exactly what I am meaning :cry03:

  2. I always wonder though slightly off topic how men are portrayed with driving. The headlines for that case seemed to be soft etc however, if the driving situation was reversed would they have been so kind?

I think with driving men and women should not be grouped, either sex can be dangerous behind the wheel.

  3. Sorry, I kind of knew what you were meaning, just wanted clarification.

Personally I think they should have a breakdown of every single place they could make cuts so that we could all have a look. I think school dinners will possibly be going down to one choice which would cut waste and save money.

  4. If they did the law for 17 year olds only then it wouldn't affect votes. I agree though powerful cars should be monitored after passing tests.

On another note, she didn't even have a licence so any law like that wouldn't have mattered.

  5. When oh when oh when are young drivers going to learn that cars cannot go round corners fast. I hear in the news today that two young lives have been lost in Inverness as a result of lack of appreciation for what a car can and can't do. This accident happened on Island Bank Road where, reportedly, the vehicle failed to negotiate a tight bend and slammed into a lampost killing one male and one female teenager.

All you youngsters out there learn that there is a limit to how fast a vehicle will go round a bend. Too many have lost life in the last year or two in the north of Scotland by not understanding that one fact.

    How tragic x

  6. I understand that part CaleyD it is actully when you are on the roundabout because when you go onto it you the lanes pull you off in diff directions and I thought the general rule was that you don't cross over unless there is the broken squares? Because although you see broken squares on that part further round there isn't any.

  7. See if you look at the exits the one on the left next to the bingo only goes left. The one in the middle of the road appears to only head to Culloden which then means the one on the right leaves you with 3 exits, one to sir walter scott drive, one to Drakies and one back to old perth road. However, if you use that lane it means you go from the middle of the roundabout and then back to the outside in a matter of seconds, it means that you cross over two lanes!

I wish I had a overview picture of that roundabout that I could take to the council and tell them to work that place out!

  8. Nope....... i think tw@'s as described in the original post pose more of an annoyance to me than women - despite their inablity to reach the speed limit, drive straight or even park properly :P

Made me think of a time when I went to the Drs. I reversed parked and went in, I then felt a tap on my shoulder from a man who asked me 'was that a fluke or can you really park that well?' :P It made me laugh because he would never of asked a man that! x

  9. Think about it -

Less drivers + no bad drivers (ie - 95% of women) = crashless society.

And that would also knock old women drivers out too (the worst of them all).

Haha!! I don't think women are bad drivers, I just think you assume that it is a women in the car. For example, the amount of times my husband says whilst driving ' that stupid woman' and it's a man that is driving, then he denies it!

I also think that old drivers in general are a pain, not just old women drivers!

  10. On the note of driving can people pass this on!! At the new roundabout on the a96 (turn off to Smithton/Culloden way) I have been honked at twice because I don't drive on the cheverons and follow the markings however people heading towards the a96 think I am cutting them up! I wish they would look at the road markings before I get angry!!
