  1. Reading the P & J article today I feel quite sorry for Dougie. Doesn't quite come across as the arrogant ned some people make him out to be. I have never met him but those I know that have met him have nothing but good things to say about him.

All the best Dougie - hope it works out well for you.

  2. Good - We are getting some money in for him. He was never as good coming back from injury as he was before. He was latterly just a fringe player.

Bad - He had talent and was getting back to fitness levels.

A good move all round I think and wish him all the best.

  3. I don't care if he scores against us in derby matches, although I won't be holding my breath! - I am just glad he has gone. He was woeful for us, an absolute disaster from all angles. Hopeful we will get Duff. Why are we, the supporters, kept in the dark so much and have to go scrabbling about for bits of information? Thanks goodness for the forum.

  4. I think Sanchez fits in well within the team. He will miss a few chances but he will also score some - that is the nature of the game. At least he is getting himself in the position to miss the sitters!!

  5. He didn't have a brilliant game but I gave him one point for having the bottle to take second penalty with the entire North Stand on their feet so close to end of the game. Well done Adam for keeping your nerve and getting us 3 points.

  6. As far as supporting other clubs go I've always been something of a Man U fan.

That was up until last night... The abuse dished out by their support to Tevez and Bellamy (he was also hit by a coin) was totally unacceptable.

I hope they get hammered in the final. If they didn't have Rooney, they wouldn't have much of a team.

    Giggs? Fletcher?

Also don't let an element of the support put you off a club. Remember sector of section G/ Imrie not that long ago. Does that now mean you want ICT to get hammered by Partick?

  7. In answer to Starchief. I support 2 clubs. One Scottish - ICT, one English - Manchester United. I also watch out for Real Madrid and Perth Glory results as have visited their grounds for matches. I fail to understand the mentality of people from the Highlands who support the old firm. Although I do understand geography has very little to do with it!!

  8. Today, Nauris is flying back to Inverness. It wasn`t easy decision for him, but he really likes ICT :Team, fans and atmosphere.I Still don`t don`t know is something sorted with contract with ICT. Yes, and question wasn`t about another Scottish club...

If this is true then that is fantastic news. We should roll out the red carpet.

  9. Like this?

    Brown

    Tokely Dods Munro Hastings

    Cowie Rankin Black Robson

    Wyness Niculae

    :tonguecheek: :cry01: :cry01:

    With a bench consisting of.....

    Esson

    Wilson

    Mann

    Juanjo

    Dargo

Probably a few others out there from the past who could still hold their own in the squad as well.

I just made a mess everywhere!!!

Not as big a mess as our board have made!

  10. Ideal opportunity for the board to show that they have the same ambition/belief in the the club that the management appear to have, I would hope the DOF would be jumping on a plane and heading over to sort this out.

    Ambition? Belief? Our board? :cry01:

  11. FFS this is ridiculous. If the board can't find enough money to keep Bully then we might as well give up any hope of winning the league. The team are starting to look pretty decent and now we will have to start mucking about with different formations again. I am seriously p*ssed off!

  12. Greenlees seems to ring a bell somewhere. Was that down at the bottom of Stephens Brae? And there used to be steps adjacent to the Brae which lead down to a wee shop run by Serafinis but cannot remember what that sold. And where was Bernardis?

MacSween is a good Harris surname - usually from Scalpay. And all Hearachs spent time at Sir Edward Scott Junior Secondary school at some stage if they had half a brain.

  13. Yeah Ronnies on Eastgate, along from Burnetts the bakers which is now Girvans. They had the best pies and cakes. And there was a wee shop there too I think for cans of juice, curly wurlys etc. What was the name of the shop across from the Academy that is now a hairdressers?

I left after 6th year in 1975, a few years after yourself. Didn't bother with school dinners until 6th year because by then you got in first and didn't have to queue. And didn't stay in hostel as family moved to mainland.

  14. I still BELIEVE we could win the league. Until it is mathematically impossible I shall continue to BELIEVE.

I also BELIEVE that we have the squad of players capable of doing it and hope we hold on to every one of them as it took a while for them to gel and we don't want to go back to square one again at this stage in the season.
