I think young Nick should be player of the month

    Im sorry what?!?!

What did you think you heard? For the record I agree with johnboy and miss.

AS much as i hate them arent james forest and paddy mccourt young players and is stokes now 1 year too old?

And PLAYER of the month not even young player, you've got to be kidding have you not seen the form that miller is on (hope he keeps it up for scotland)

  2. Wouldn't mind Duff back at all. With McCann injured and a lack of options in the middle he could be a useful addition.

We are in need of another wide player for sure. Noticed that Danny Cadamarteri is available from Dundee United, he really impressed me when he played against ICT last summer, perhaps we could get him on loan.

i think he's wanting to go to england, but i would happily take him i just doubt it

    What about MAC

  3. I think we could do with another utility player. Stuart Duff would be a good addition. He can play right-back, def mid, right-wing and attacking mid (he has played centre-back too but was bloody awful). We've got a good squad, so another specialist* isn't the answer IMHO as it's pretty doubtful we'll get top quality.

*apart from a striker, as we're struggling if Rooney is injured. I don't think we need a 'promising' player, as Sutherland looks promising enough. So I'm not sure who that could possibly be?

I agree that Duff would be a good signing. We didn't lose a single game during his spell in the team last season. The only area where we look a bit threadbare is central midfield. Cox is unproven at this level and struggled against both Celtic and Hamilton. If Duncan were to get injured or suspended we'd have a serious problem IMHO.

yes that will definitley happen and duff would be a good addition also foran will probably get banned at least once so i think loaning a left forward or signing gregory tade is a must

  4. How many of them were Penalties?

Apologies DBS but that is a quote that gets on ma feckin wick - Ya have to keep on scoring penalties to keep on taking them - penalty taking is an art in itself - it is all about self confidence, preparation and concentration. And Rooney is fast becoming one of the best.

Also if a penalty is awarded (Rooney winning it) who's to say that he wouldn't have scored a goal if he wasn't fouled

  5. Totally agree.... In fact I'd go as far as to suggest Ross was our best player today.

I'm afraid you know nothing about football! case closed.............

He may yet be a great player for I.C.T but today he was poor and looked a boy playing against men.

I'm afraid you know nothing about football case closed............

  6. Dunno think revenge could be sweet! About time we beat these timewasting cheeting f.........rs!

yeh revenge would be sweet but looking at the stats that isnt happening anytime soon and i wont be looking forward to our next home encounter with them

  7. He shook hands with all our guys gave them a friendly hug n went over to Adam n made sure he was alright, ..

Yes he may have done that but after he celebrated in front of the north stand

  8. He's an absolute cretin. Tokely should have just lamped the disgusting little jumped up ned at the end.

And get a suspension for a few games - that would be clever.

How Dougie will laugh if he logs on and reads such stupid comments. As if he hasn't got enough to laugh about already.

    like dougie can readlol.gif

  9. Todays game could be summed up with 2 words. Groundhog day. Same old scummy cheating Hamilton, same old SPL comedian referees, same old result.

The fact that we played to Hamiltons strengths, and took 45 minutes to warm up didn't help. We should know the script by now. Hamilton have a big back 4 who sit deep. Hamilton flood the midfield and get stuck in. Hamilton are good on the break.

Whilst most of our players were poor (with the exceptions of Esson, Tokely and Ross) it'd be wrong to simply blame below par idividual performances. Our strategy from the start was wrong.

If we want to beat Hamilton we have 2 options IMHO. 1) Play a more defensive game, allow them to push up the park and hit them on the break. 2) Play 3 (or even 4) big men up front, evade the scrappy midfield battle (which we always lose) and go route 1 as we did for the final 10 minutes today.

  10. I am usually in the Nick Ross is rubbish camp, but I'll eat my underpants today and say he was one of our better players.

If you want to slate someone..........Jonny Hayes was anonymous today, especially in the first half. I expected big things from Jonny, today was abject disappointment, from the word go.

Anyway, this thread is about Nick Ross and he was decent today, in fact I was surprised it was him that was subbed.

Totally agree.... In fact I'd go as far as to suggest Ross was our best player today.

Hayes looked completely fecked by about halfway through the second half.

    I couldn't believe the substitution.

AS you can expect i was ever grateful for the sub and i thought shane was very good when he came on and he should have been awarded a penalty

  11. I was disappointed that Dougie got so much abuse from the home support today. Whatever you think of him as a footballer, he was never lacking in effort when he wore an ICT shirt.

OH yes he did he would only put in effort when he felt like it or when he wanted to crunch somebody

  12. I wasn't at the game today so can't comment on his performance today but the mistake a lot of us make is by jumping on the back of young guys and berating them too early on.

He is only 18 so still has bags of time to learn, from what I have seen of him so for I reckon he has great potential and will be an excellent talent so don't be so harsh so early on. We all go on about the lack of talent available to Scottish clubs then when a manager spots one and tries to bring it on we expect big things so early on, all I'm saying is give him a chance. Clubs with the finances like ICT have to.

Once Richie is fit and hopefully stays fit I think you'll find he'll be on the bench and when played will be in the centre where he is more comfortable.

i didnt say he wouldnt improve im saying right now he is terrible

  13. You're having a laugh. Nick Ross is improving every time he plays and he was head and shoulders above any of our attacking players today.

    lol.giflol.giflol.gif

    right back at you

i must admit he was decent against united and he was utter ***** today therefore he has not improved every game
