  1. Great highlights from Caley Jags TV, which helped me assess what went on in the game compared with watching the crappy live stream. Like others have said above, there are many positives to take heart from that game for the season ahead. Daniel Mackay, Allardice, Ridgers, Deas and Devine were our best performers in what were difficult circumstances with so many players out with injuries.

  2. Glad of a point but it was a bit tortuous to watch. They did pretty well in the circumstances of having so many injuries though.

If the poor quality of the broadcast continues like that I think I might be swayed to watch the Wales v Scotland rugby match next Saturday. I can skip through the playback of the Arbroath game later.

  3. Yes, being able to watch with a drink in hand is helping. I've taken to wine today and nearly finished the bottle already. Camera work no better.

We could do with lively winger on to create some chances. Keatings seems out of sorts today and Duffy is hardly getting a touch of the ball.

  4. I think that the poor quality of the broadcast is too distracting. I see that the cameraman is practicing his zoom shots at half time.

We were starting to put some good moves together. That was a great shot from Daniel Mackay and a decent save from their keeper.

Maybe time to shire things up and play a 3-5-2 with the full backs playing as wing backs given our lack of natural wide players further forward. If Devine is fit enough to start, but our other casualties don’t make it, that would mean something like:

    Ridgers

    Devine Deas McHattie

    Duffy Vincent Welsh Allardice Harper

    Keatings Mackay

Just a thought but we did well in that formation in the last game before lockdown.

I agree that line up has a bit more flexibility and given the injury situation could match up to Ayr better. Hoping Shane Sutherland will be fit enough to make the bench too and come on for the last 20 minutes.

They said it was over 1600 - was it 1640-something?

Given that most of us seemed to have a perfect connection, but Row S had nothing, I did wonder if the number trying to watch had exceeded some limit in the system.  Pars TV seems to be a local operation, unlike the large international company who will be doing ours.  Looking forward to watching a match broadcast controlled by an AI!

There were a lot of complaints on the Parstv live chat during the game. I kept getting a Scottish Football Online server error message. I did make a few attempts at loading the stream this morning. Without changing any settings it eventually worked, but only for about 20 minutes. The picture was a bit blurry but from what I saw of the period after we scored we were having trouble stringing passes together.

I couldn't find any technical reason why shouldn't have been able to watch the live stream. I was in touch with someone from Parstv and he has passed on my complaint to the club to consider a refund.

This week I am going to triple check all settings and connections on my lap top and smart tv once I get the email and then well before kick off on Saturday. Also hoping we will have some better news on the injuries by then too.

P.S. Exeter v Racing was an absolute belter of a rugby match and helped me get over the earlier disappointment as well as enjoy the pints from my keg of Man of Hoy from the Cawdor Tavern.

I thought you could watch it, with the commentary at low volume?   Which is surely not a bad thing

Yes indeed. I was watching Leeds v Man City in the Blackfriars on Saturday evening. The sound was muted but the sub-titles were on.

Hearts TV are broadcasting the match tonight to their subscribers (£59.99 for the season). It will not be live, however, as they are not allowed to do that at the same time as the Premier Sports broadcast. The transmission will be delayed by 15 minutes therefore.
