Every other row blocked off so you just sit in the open rows. They recommend 2 empty seats between groups. Go early my advice to get pick of seats. Worked well as far as I could see on tuesday.

Cheers SteveA and Old Caley Girl. Will aim to get there early.

  2. I never made the game myself but heard good things from those who were there. Great to get a win from the the first competitive game and create loads of chances.

Is Scott Allardice being used sparingly as he is due to serve a suspension for the first two league games?

I have a ticket for the Stirling Albion game but not with a proper seat number. It just indicates GA123 in the North Stand and a note to say stewards will show you to a seat. Did that arrangement work okay on Tuesday?

Looking forward to it and a few beers in the Phoenix after.

  3. Apologies for going a bit more off topic. Planning permission announced earlier this week for the Red John pumped hydro scheme (from Loch Ness) after appeal to Scottish Government. Park and ride from the stadium car park for construction workforce part of it as IBM said.

A9 Longman junction grade separation works will see the trunk gas main relocated from the back of the West terrace to accommodate a slip lane on a widened embankment. This will result in the landscaping of intervening land and could offer stadium development potential, but not until the junction works are finished around 2025.

I heard that we only had 1100 season ticket holders in 2020/21. I'm sure that will improve if up to 2000 are allowed back in come July. We usually only get crowds of less than 1000 for League Cup group games at that time anyway.

Suppose this would be the appropriate thread to discuss my hatred of Sheffield United for a loan deal 10 years ago...

Whatever happened to the much publicised loan arrangements with Sheffield United to give several of their youngsters first team football with us? I can't recall one player ever coming here to play.

  5. I agree that there is a need to allow attendances of at least 25% of our capacity to watch matches at the stadium. That would help make it attractive for fans to renew season tickets. I for one would otherwise be reluctant to renew for this next season. I couldn't bear the prospect of having to resort to watching poor quality streamed matches ever again.

Our season starts on Tuesday 13 July, 6 weeks time. We are at home to Peterhead then and to Stirling Albion on Tuesday 17, then we have Cove away on Tuesday 20 and Hearts away on Sunday 25, a tea time kick off and on Premier Sports.

Moving to Level 1 this weekend should allow up to 1000 fans to attend the home games.

Can someone please explain to me how a bang average/mid table Championship side with limited apparent revenue streams can afford a CEO, Sporting Director and Head Coach?  Unless someone has emerged, unannounced, from the shadows and injected a serous wedge into the club in an attempt to buy our way out of the Championship how on earth can we justify this kind of outlay?  I just don't get it.....answers on a postcard please.

I was thinking along similar lines. Perhaps we got a good bit more than peanuts for Daniel Mackay

And all this disruption is so that we can all tune in to a  live funeral broadcast on Saturday...😤

Not me. Thanks to the D of E's funeral I can now go and play bowls that afternoon, the first day of the new season, and watch our game v St Mirren on Friday. 😁
