  1. Welcome Leeds Seasider. You join during a very difficult time for the club. Since the merger and formation of ICT it has been one hell of an adventure culminating in a trip to Europe ( we lost 1.0 on aggregate to a Romanian outfit...Astra). The progress through the Leagues and the eventual lifting of the Scottish Cup was the stuff of dreams. It couldnt last forever and we are currently in the doldrums with not much sign of a fair wind. The Scottish Championship, where we find ourselves hanging on for dear life, is notoriously difficult to gain promotion from. Any hope of that was dashed a while ago and now we struggle for survival. Get yourself to Dunfermline on Saturday.......there must be a bus!

  4. I kinda thought this might happen. Not been at the games but it did seem that improvement was marginal and I wouldnt be surprised if play off talk recedes significantly. We could easily end up a la Dodds. Duncan Ferguson came here to kickstart his ailing career.................he was a big name...........box office.........but he has to prove himself now in my book. I wish him every good luck.

  5. Now now John. While I recognise that this is not a motoring thread I must take exception to your flying the A9 flag. Anybody who has spent an hour trying to get through the Inveralmond roundabout or those that waited three hours to get to the Pitlochry Lightfest will testify that it is one unholy mess. My Sikorsky is on order though

  6. A lot of welcome positivity on the board. Congratulations to all for what seems like a substantial improvement in confidence and mood at the club in a few short weeks. I have to say that, looking at the highlights, on chances, a profligate Utd must wonder how they didnt win the game. They should return to the premier and our target must be the top 4 which now looks achievable. I echo the call for better attendances at home. I am a very infrequent attendee these days due to other commitments but it would take a lot to see me get into my car and spend the whole day negotiating the increasingly frustrating A9. At the end of the journey our stadium is a bleak, unattractive and atmosphereless venue. Great when its full and rocking but when was the last time it looked anything like that? Time for the club to capitalise on our improvement on the field by offering a more attractive product off it ; really showing some ambition. That might entice me to roll the Austin Allegro out of the garage one more time to head north.

  7. The following is possibly common knowledge amongst forum readers but it was new to me so I thought I would share it.

My premier league manager pal was telling me today that he was on a course with Dougie Imrie very recently. Imrie told him that he was positive that he had the ICT job and what followed was a bolt from the blue.

He didnt reckon that Dunc would be on much of a wage as , after Forest Green, his reputation was trashed down south.

He also said that all managerial contracts , his included, have a clause which states how much compensation a sacked manager would get. Normally 6 months. This does mean that we dont keep paying for ever and a day for a manager that we have had removed. Glad to hear that as I always thought it was a bit of a racket.

As I say....Many of you will know this but it was news to me.
