Another thing to take into account is, apparently Sky have yet to confirm that they will show certain games on Sports 1 or 2. They will show them on sports 4 instead because this channel is not available to these add on packages.

3 kids have lost their father , how can that be a good thing ?

Well he obviously wasn't thinking about his kids when he was shooting people was he? Or when he was jailed for assaulting a child? It makes me sick that people are joining a FB site in his honour calling him a legend and a hero. The other bit of news today is another soldier being buried. He's the real hero. While I think it is sad a man has to lose his life like this, I can't help thinking he deserved it by killing or injuring 3 people.

And it's not just the deaths, think about all the injured. My niece is married to a young soldier and lives on a camp in Kent. She says when ever she walks about camp she sees lads without legs or arms. Her hubby is off to Afghanistan for the 3rd time soon. Doesn't fill her with confidence. I was lucky, I didn't go to Afghanistan but I have many friends who are out there now. All we can do is hope for their safe return.

Too be perfectly honest, if England played Scotland today I think England would win but it would not be the easy ride that it should be going by stats and rankings. England are no longer a force to be reckoned with. They have a few great players in the team but there is also a lot of dross there who just expect to be picked on reputation alone. They don't play with pride or commitment. Look at Rooney, not one goal and every time he lost the ball it was a case oh well someone else can get it back. When he's at Manure he always chases everything, why not for England. Heskey, what is he doing in an England shirt? He's not even playing regularly in the prem so why is he playing in the world cup? Even Stevie G didn't live up to expectations and he normally gives everything.

Oh well, come the Euros I think I'll support Scotland.

Here's a suggestion to address the problem of footy free days. After the group stages and each subsequent round they could have separate knock out competitions as a mirror image of the main competition for the winners. Every team would end up in a position of 1 to 32. This would allow good teams who disappointed to restore some lost pride and play some more relaxed and attractive football. Games could be scheduled so that there were matches on every day. Venues could be used in towns where folk don't normally have a chance of seeing international football and prices could be set to allow local folk to watch the matches.

Rooney might even get to score!

Even as an English fan I can see that it would have to be Adam and not wayne for that statement to be possible.

Aye mate , all the folk on here who reckoned england had a great chance of winning the World cup seem to have gone into hiding , thats what you get when you believe what the pundits tell you and not what you see with your own eyes . strange, so many people have been told they can't fly the flag as it upsets different nationalities in England yet downing st can fly it. Don't get me wrong we should be able to fly our flag with pride (today's result aside) but surely this will upset the b123ards even more. :D

To pick up on a point made by Doofersdad, Why on earth when you're 3-1 or 4-1 down would you take off a player who might score and replace him with one who hasn't scored in God knows how long. Fine bring on a forward but replace a defender and attack their goal. Also why Heskey and not Crouch? Crouch's England record is miles better than Heskey's. When ever Crouch plays for England he makes goals and scores them. Heskey does niether.
