Always good to see a new moderator join up. Or isn't backseat moderating against the rules?
Fresh moderation might be a positive hopefully just like administration will be for the club.
I long for the day when posters don’t get unjust thread bans especially considering its probably the most important thread in CTO history.

Still paying the big wages back then, noticeably another big Dunc, on 1k a week, I guess reflecting his coaching role too.
I sadly agree with you the resemblance to the route the old Rangers took and the route we took is uncanny.
The rise to the SPL, European football and Scottish Cup win will now always be overshadowed by overspending and mismanagement some might even go as far and call it cheating.
Regardless what it is there is a horrible taste left in the mouth.

Footage quality from nearly 27 years ago is better than what we get nowadays. As well as the quality of football.
Duke I’ve green dotted you for this as I couldn’t green dot you regarding the point you made about egos in the admin thread.
Couldn’t have made the point better myself unfortunately that opportunity was taken away from me due to being banned from the thread from the establishment with no reason.
Seems Ego’s clearly exist on here too.

Couldn’t play the goal above so went to YouTube to look for yesterdays game.
i must have fell asleep and missed a few goals.
Halcyon days indeed and sadly highlights perfectly the level ICT have fallen too.
Also quite alarmingly noticeable is that the terracing festooned in Union Jacks.

Yesterdays shocking attendance probably wasn’t helped by the North of Scotland Cup final in Nairn.
I saw plenty of faces there that normally frequent the Dump.
For anyone interested Clach were well pumped by a strong looking Brora outfit.
Very healthy attendance with the majority born and bred Invernessians.
Hats of to the young ICT players though can’t have been easy putting on what sounds a decent display under the current circumstances and also Duncan Ferguson to be honest as it would have been very easy to throw the towel in.Dougal

The idea that the money we contribute through GoFundMe should be ring-fenced only to address certain aspects of the club's financial shortfall while ignoring the "black hole of debt" is morally wrong.
I 100% it is most definitely morally wrong but this club was formed on immoral principles I just can’t see a sudden about turn and change in direction can you ?
There are many to blame for this shambles not just the present or outgoing board.
I saw this day coming a long time ago if I’m being honest

Just what we need right now, personal abuse.
My tolerance levels are low at the moment, so I'll call it out - surely this is against the rules of the forum?
Not personal abuse merely an observation so calm down girls.
My take is we should just accept administration which is inevitable liquidation may well follow.
If I’m totally honest I actually applaud Bannerman for not contributing to the go fund me account no one in their right mind would plough money into the club at the moment if the debt figures being flouted are correct.
Sobering thought but that same money could fall into the hands of Gardiner or Ferguson or for any else that is owed money it’s certainly not going to save the club.
The Inverness business community won’t touch us with a barge pole at present and a large swathe of the city population don’t want anything to do with us.Start again and regroup regardless at what level that is with a possibility of a rebranding to Inverness United/City or simply InvernessFc.
The ICT brand is damaged beyond all repair whether we like it or not.
The Go fund me debacle should have been set up for funds after administration so the new club in whatever form had something to build on.

No sign of a donation from Bannerman
No surprise there then
Surely he could gather a few quid from his beloved social club or the blue and red phone box down the Longman

Absolute devastated to be reading this I’m in total shock.
Johndo will be sadly missed by the entire ICT family a huge miss at games and on CTO it just won’t be the same without him.
My heart and condolences go out to all his family and friends .RIP my friend

But what I do know is that the media had been prepared for the possibility of some kind of public demonstration in or around yesterday’s game, but nothing materialised. Older contributors will remember the massive publicity coup which was the bus full of banned rebels that was parked at the Comet end of Telford Street in 1994… ironically in a controversial situation that prompted massive public demand for season tickets.
(This, by the way, ISN’T an incitement to civil disobedience…. simply some modestly philosophical thoughts about the precise nature and effects of the boycott.)
Well there we go that just highlights how out of touch the so called local media are then.

Plenty there that they could cite - 9, 10, 15, 22...
Number 19 is a good one - "The wearing of colours and/or regalia of any Football Club other than ICT FC in the Main and North Stand is not permitted. Persons wearing the colours of other Clubs will be refused entry to these areas and if already admitted, will be ejected from the Stadium."
Presumably directors of visiting clubs are asked to remove their club ties?
So you can’t wear colours or any regalia from other clubs but what if you are covered from head to toe in other clubs tattoos?
Maybe it’s something the stewards need to start checking for?Dougal

At present we are heading for relegation survival in league1 with the current squad would be a quite remarkable achievement.
A torrid season ahead and the fans that are still going should go easy on the kids who will be turning week in week out remember it’s not their fault.

As one of the journalists regularly attending press conferences at this and other clubs, I’ll become Devil’s Advocate and suggest that managers and players are there to answer questions about football. In Caley Thistle’s case, Duncan Ferguson is the only person from the club that has spoken to the media or to anyone else about anything at all over an period now of more than two months and he has already been asked questions that are beyond his remit.
Over that two month period, I and other journalists have made attempts to obtain a club spokesman for comment and have also submitted questions on the club’s “status” through the official channels…. and they have been routinely ignored.
There is a limit to what the manager can reasonably be expected to answer. You won’t find news journalists asking a Council’s Director of Education questions about the operation of the Social Work department.

Try the Courier online you might get a free shot or have to pay. CB was there so he might do something.
CB would be there for the free pie and tea unlikely he would have done any interviews.

If there was ever an interview that’ showed someone so uninterested or not really wanting to be there this was it.
Obviously still getting extremely well paid because that is the only reason he is still here as is Bollan.
If we have to go with young local players we should go with a young local management duo too.
It’s clear Duncan doesnt want to be here well it’s also clear we don’t want you here either.
Off you trot down the A9 now give Kelty a shout when you are passing you never know they might be looking for a youth coach.

Fair enough then, let’s at least have some positivity…
Welcome to the Club Cameron Ferguson. I hope he proves all the doubters wrong.
Very much looks like forced smiles to me.
Sad thing is it should be a happy day for all young lads signing up but it won’t be easy coming into such a shambolic mess on and off the park.
I feel sorry for them all including young Ferguson.Dougal

Indeed, but let’s not forget, we are in League 1 and we have no money. Drastic cost cutting and unpalatable decisions were inevitable.
So has Duncan taken a wage drop then ?

Due to the u turn by the Trust I would be worried about being one of those punters who purchased a season ticket or club merchandise after the initial meeting.
Astonished that the Trust took the Boards word at that same meeting on the weak premise that communication would improve and everything will be ok.Even the press are now getting the silent treatment from the Club maybe they should attempt to contact ex players/legends/managers to get their say.
I’m not going to name anyone publicly but I’m very surprised that some individuals have not said anything unless they know of something they are not willing to divulge.

Big Dunc has likely got a jobber lined up from down south.
He will be hard pushed to find a bigger jobber than his own son.
Maybe Cameron can don the gloves and be Ridgers replacement after all he is a big lad and could be quite a presence in the box because of his height.
Sounds ludicrous I know but it’s getting to the worryingly desperate stage.
