Seems to me going by these comments that nothing around the culture at the club will change until SG goes. Dismissive of the fans and completely unable to take any criticism or responsibility. Puts it on the minority of 'noisy people' Totally dismissive of the Supporters Trust without naming them.

"They're meeting in the Innes Bar, and hopefully everyone vents their spleen if they want to do that. Hopefully it's constructive, and then I would hope they're all coming to the game afterwards."

So basically go have your little whine and a moan to yourselves, then shut up and get to the game and spend your money. When will folk realise that the club have absolutely zero interest in what the fans think or what their concerns are.

Doesn’t matter if that's through the Trust or any other group or individual. He gets paid regardless. They are the 'noisy minority' and 'clickbait proponents' he keeps telling himself that and absolutely nothing about the willfully ignorant culture at the club will change until the CEO goes. It's just about the crap results on the park the CEO says and while they are obviously having a huge negative impact it's way more than that. It's the first time in my life as an ICT supporter where I've felt the club just don't give a toss.

This is my understanding also.  I might be wrong but I would expect him to take over as manager until the end of the season and, unless we get relegated, permanently after that.

He's certainly been slagging off Dodds and his management publicly at other clubs and I heard it myself at a training event a few weeks ago. I thought it was very unprofessional.

In the Club statement announcing Dodds' sacking, the Club stated "We have great plans for the club as we head towards our 30th year."

Would the Chairman kindly tell us what these plans are?

Arranging some activities for the 25th anniversary? (Yeah I know that was the Yvonne Crook banter years) 🤣

Maybe it's the unveiling of the glorious battery farm? Or possibly a guided tour of the Cromarty Firth freeport if you buy a Battle of the Boyne commemorate top!

Scot Gardiner is so bad for our club it’s unreal . This guy has a streak in him that likes to cause controversy and trouble . I wonder what sort of wage he is robbing the club for . Certainly never heard a good word said about him . Bad bad news of a guy and like u say if he wasn’t our ceo we more than likely would not be in this mess we find ourself in . This guy needs shown the door and take his controversy with him .

Ask fans of previous clubs he's worked at what they feel about him...

Our goals conceded record in the league isn't terrible, and I think we're focusing too much on the wrong end of the park.

Just a quick napkin calculation, but if we'd scored about 1 in 5 of the chances created, we'd be doing pretty well.

Well in Dodds' last pre match interview I'm sure he was saying he wasn't worried about us scoring and 'we'll score plenty' or something along those lines. 🤷‍♂️

I don’t believe BD is the root problem here, merely a symptom and part of a deeper problem in the declining fall of the club as a whole.
Sure BD has been found out to be a poor to average ex-player manager that was/is unable to get (imo) average players to compete above their abilities. His shortcomings in any structured patterns of play just compounded the problems. The results, (facts) speak for themselves.

Simply BD was available, local and cheap, so the fitted the ‘Powers’ specification!
DB reign is already slipping away, it’s just a matter of time now!

The problem in getting a manager that can get better results that doesn’t bury the club deeper in debt, (love for someone to prove that wouldn’t be an issue). A better game plan will reduce the goals lost and improve the chance of wining (not hard right now I know). It’s not too late to still make a fist of it and maybe get into the playoffs, however I believe that’s a stretch too far. Being ‘safe’ from relegation this season would be a success for me!

Anyway, back to my main point. As long as the club maintain the same strategy then we will end up with a short term fix. I don’t think I’m the only person that believe the club has to look at what is realistic with the expectation of the fan base and income from merchandise and ‘other’ sources. Ventures so far (concerts) have done more damage than good with local businesses and put the club on the back foot!
Throw in an incomprehensible communications policy just exasperated the aging and reducing core fan base to alienate a good number. Getting them back will be a challenge, but it must be done.

Others have already said it on the forum, and I have to concur, I can’t see the board in its current structure being able to have the backing of a good bulk of the support to have faith in them to make a success of things.

It may take the courage of other board members with imagination and new contacts for funds-investment to step forward and propose a different route from the current path. Certainly a reset of fan relations would be a simple and welcome gesture. This would require the CEO and possibly the chairman and the SLO to change roles, but they may recognise the clock is now ticking on their tenures and a managed change may suit everyone!
The fans have to also come to terms with where ICT are and what is achievable in the current and next 5 years. Everything about ICT right now says Championship. Progression will be slow and based on youth players coming through better than the past (how I don’t know), and a steady and imaginative way to increase our fan base.

Really putting this up as ration assessment where I am rather than just ‘let’s get rid of the manager’. Results are everything in football so just hope any change is thought through long term.

    bc

Agree with most of that except the SLO / CEO thing. CEO needs to go and is the root of much of the rot.

Also, everything about ICT doesn't say Championship. It says First Division.

Any update on Ujdur arriving from Australia? He obviously want in the squad on Saturday which would have been a good opportunity to try him out if he was here.

Think he's changed his mind and doesn't fancy the step down in quality.

Is John Robertsons contract about to finish ?

    IMG_7520.png

Contracts normally expire at the end of a season so JR's I'd imagine would have already finished and we've extended it. However perhaps not. You'd think the club would announce the contract extension of a senior member of staff and a normal club probably would, however this is ICT so who knows (apart from SG and JR)?

Yes, thank you, where to start! - I take full ownership of all questions or posters I raise and don’t hide behind any veil. Not frightened to challenge laziness or incompetence or personal jabs as you have. So if my posters irritate you and ‘others’ of a sedate sensitive disposition then that gives me more satisfaction and know I am achieving the level of debate on the matters I believe are necessary!
Wish I didn’t, but what the hell, if we can’t ask difficult questions of our club and selves in our current position, when can we??

    Woe is me, bc

Where were the personal jabs? Just pointing out the truth that nobody is stifling your opinions as you suggest.

Did you read the link I provided about the Supporters Trust objectives?  Their core remit is to represent the interests of the ENTIRE fan community, regardless of whether they are members or not.  That is the expectation they have created themselves.

As I have said before, they have to give fans something to get behind as an organisation, otherwise they are no better than the club in asking fans to blindly throw money at them in hope that they'll do something, sometime, maybe.

I'll welcome the open meeting when it happens, and hope it doesn't just become another "watch this space" in the same way as the minutes of meetings between them and the club did, or the feedback on the meeting with the club following the matchday survey that we're still waiting on.

The Trust Board exists to lead the organisation.  Sitting back waiting for fans/members to tell them what to do and/or bleating about the lack of members is a cop out and dereliction of their own stated objectives.

Take a stance or, at the very least, poll the community on whether or not they would like to see some action.  Whilst I do not believe for a moment they are in cahoots with the club, the silence gives the impression that they have no objection to the way things are going.

It's not the Trust that's 'bleating about the lack of members' though I'm sure they'd like to have as many as possible and likely more than they have now.

It's the club that's 'bleating' about how the Trust is not representative enough by whatever invisible metric they've made up in their heads.

As I understand it in the previous couple of years the Trust have tried various ways of getting the club to engage with them and address various raised issues going back to the 'Fans Forum'. Remember that thing? The one club had a couple of meetings on, refused to release any minutes of it for months then summarily cancelled any further meetings just before they were supposed to be opened up to the common fan.

The matchday survey was they most recent and most labour intensive way they have tried to get the club into a productive dialogue. I hear they club's comments were essentially that it was 'too negative', that's kinda the point 🤣 Just makes it look like all the club was is to have smoke blown up their ass about how great they are. Any negatively is either just brushed over or even worse makes the club just close off dialogue.

I'm not on the Trust but I am a member. I did though used to be on it years ago when it was Caley Jags Together, we had meetings often at the stadium and although we didn't always see eye to eye with the club, we had a pretty open dialogue and they did listen to issues raised and often acted on them to make changes where they could, Kenny Cameron was always willing to sit down and discuss things.

I see absolutely nothing from the current (off field) management at the club that would indicate that they have any interest to hear anything fans say either through the Trust or individually. In fact looking at the orange strip on July 12th and weekly games of 'Where's Robbo' I reckon they're having a nice wee laugh about it while pocketing our cash. One day they'll saunter off and our club will be left in shambles if that's not already the case.

Again you pump the same theme. ‘Only the Trust is mature enough to represent the fans’. And the rest shut up!

I joined the Forum as I considered it a conduit free to ICT fans to communicate anything regarding the team and club they support. - Now if the Forum is solely for the purpose of unofficially promoting the Trust’s ‘Line’ and it’s members recruitment campaign, then fine I know I’m an outsider and not welcome!

I like to remain free to give my opinion be it confrontational, stupid or thought provoking on the club’s future progression.

So here’s a simple question to whoever can speak for the Trust.

‘Did the Trust vote and back/support the 2 year contract extension for the manager’.

That would help me clarify my misinterpretation of the Trust!

    bc

Who on the forum is stopping you having or posting whatever opinion you want? Be it regarding the Trust or anything else. If your opinion is a more marginal one that most others don't agree with then so be it. Own it, don't give it the 'woe me' line.

Knew I'd seen some 'discussions' on here before with Ross Morrison aka 'sheep slagger'. Page 3 for his direct email and toys from the pram moment when challenged on funding & spending strategy.

Really interesting reading that back (and my own replies lol), still sadly waiting on OCG taking charge.

Also sad that a thread from early 2019 is going on about wasteful spending on positions that contribute or generate nothing, lack of communication, lack of interaction with fans, getting kids involved and so on.

Here we are 4.5 years later 🤷‍♂️

Might be better following them for a good game of football.  The best game I have seen this season was at the Clach Park on Tuesday night :ponder:

Unfortunately I was working late that day. I will be up on Wednesday evening at Ferry Brae pitch to watch my daughter in ICT U14s Reds v ICT U14s Blues in the U14s Rachel McLaughlan League though.

Maybe this has all been a big ruse then and we are lulling the rest of the league into false security?

Next few days we will go full Chelsea siging a whole squad playing moneyball with the battery farm cash that'll make us look the the seaside version of the Saudis. Fortunately missing out on Europe by loosing the cup final also removes any need to comply with UEFA FFP.......its all been planned afterall....

That's just the start, once the freeport cash arrives... oooft!
