The club seem to be on a continuing descent. A similar cup tie 20 years ago would have been a competitive affair with ICT giving as good as they got.

Our first 20 years were a more or less continuous upward progression where everyone from top to bottom of the club were in it together....................we now seem to be in reverse and if nothing changes, we'll be back in the bottom division in another 5 to 10 years.....

    Truly awful.

There are problems and concerns, but come on, you seem to have forgotten that only last season we beat 2 Premiership sides on our way to the final where we put in a very competitive performance against Celtic.

  2. Well the cash inflow to the club is over £1m and the amount they risked on the planning application, don’t know but I would guess to be in the tens of thousands and at worst still a small proportion of the cash gain. That is a low risk, high reward project, and I don’t see how it realistically risked the club’s existence.

Criticise them all you want on other matters, it’s justified, but on this particular one surely even you can put your grievances aside and acknowledge that it’s a rather miraculous rabbit out of a hat!

Why has the title of this topic been changed? It wasn't offensive, just an observation given our CEO's way of 'controlling' our club. I disagree with the change.

A forum member questioned why it had been allowed to remain. Some other, more insulting comments were removed from the thread at the same time.

As a reminder, criticism is absolutely fine but personal abuse is against site rules.

“I was pleased to be there in person today at the Highland Council’s HQ to see democracy in action.”

That is quite a reach from the esteemed chairman after months of emotive public lobbying. Of the 5 councillors who were allowed to participate in the vote, none of them represented the areas impacted by the development. Donald Trump democracy.

You’ve made quite a few interesting and informative contributions on this subject, which I appreciate and I’m sure others do too. I’m curious though - is it the case that you didn't want this application to succeed?

we moved 6 points clear of the team directly below and have been extremely close to gaining more victories and draws.

The only success he can point to is being above a team that has taken 3 points from a possible 54!

Hopefully we're financially secure for at least a few years now.

Hope so. This deal seemingly clears the debt and puts some cash in the bank but I’m pretty sure we are still losing money on a daily basis and that will probably remain the case until we get back in the Premiership or go part time.

  7. This would seem to be one of the biggest days in our history in terms of off the field activities.

After all the negativity, criticism and derision on this thread, I think there should be some recognition of the achievement of the club and its partners to have firstly conceived this remarkable high benefit, low risk deal, and then to push it through and overcome the considerable planning permission challenges.

Morrison and Gardner have played an absolute blinder here, haven’t they?

  8. The highlights show that we played some stuff and it’s a surprise that we failed to score. As for the goal we conceded, defenders just standing back and letting him get all the space he needs to take a touch and pick his spot, oh dear.

Is Duncan Ferguson immune from criticism?  That was another shocking display, every bit as poor as any under Dodds. I'm not convinced he has a clue what he's doing.

For comparison Dodds in the Championship averaged 1.5 points per game, Ferguson is on 1.35.

One thing that will sit uncomfortably with many is that Morrison does, apparently, now have money to put into the club (albeit with strings attached), when so recently he was unable or refused to put money into the concert company.  The concert company was declared bankrupt with the result that local creditors were left out of pocket as a result of the concert company's botched management of the concerts.

If he had spare cash at the time and decided to donate it to bail out the concert company, I suspect that the vast majority of that money would have gone to the multimillionaire artists and not to local businesses. And then he would not have had the money to inject into ICT and keep us afloat.

  11. I think that’s a fair summary except on point 6. Morrison has a charge over ALL of the club’s assets, not just the shares in the battery company. So if those shares are worthless he’d still be owed his money and the likelihood is that the club would have no realistic means to pay him back for the foreseeable future.

  12. The documents are Ross Morrison being granted security over the club’s assets (including ICT’s battery farm company) having put money into the club in the form of a loan. Similar to what a bank would do if it lent money to a business.
