4 games against Arbroath this season (including league cup) and we haven’t laid a glove on them. Lost them all and we haven’t even scored a single goal. The margin of defeat also grew each time. Since the last match our form has deteriorated and we’ve lost key players.
ICT to win!

I had £2 on us winning 6-0. Gutted!

If we can stay up, there is a great opportunity to get promoted back to the Championship as next season’s League 1 looks like being the weakest it has ever been. Hamilton are coming down and they will be financially very weak if they can even survive at all as a club. As for the play-offs, I guess the worst outcome is that that Airdrie drop down, but we shouldn’t fear them either..

If we’d won our recent home game v Annan we’d be safe now with 2 games to spare.

What’s the outlook for Musa? Seems that he is hugely missed.

Billy scores with a great strike. 30 mins to go and we sit back and let them come at us. An easy save for our keeper, he fumbles it and looked like when he is on the ground kicks ball into gilmour and ball trickles into net.
Ouch. Definitely a draw that feels like a defeat.

Arbroath better be playing their youth team next week!!
Sadly I expect them to play their first team against us. Kind of understandable that they gave the reserves a run out today after winning the title last week, but now that they’ve seen what happened they won’t be wanting another humiliation on their record.

Arbroath battling bravely and putting their bodies on the line to restrict Annan to 5-1.

We’ll have fielded 5 keepers this season.
Have we ever used more than 2 keepers in a season before?

Interesting to see all these stats and rankings.
Big Dunc being worst for goals per game is something that we didn’t need any stats for!

Lack of squad depth, lack of ability to change shape and personnel and our inability to break teams down at home again.Indeed. 0-2 v Kelty and even worse, the 0-1 home to a threadbare Annan side (that I think had 2 over 40s and another 38yo).
The constant in both those dismal results was our ‘nil’. The loss of Bavidge has left us with a squad devoid of any goal scoring strikers.-

When you see Szymon’s reaction to the first goal, it’s the realisation that the goalposts weren’t where he thought they were. He’s young, he’ll learn. It’s very rare to see a first team keeper under 21, let alone 16/17.

Any info on Dibaga’s injury? If he’s not back next week we’ll need to try for an emergency loan again.

The halfway house is Mr. Savage being named preferred bidder by Friday, a milestone BDO have said they were aiming for by the end of April.
This gives everyone some comfort and a bit more time to iron out the details.
Yep, confirmed as preferred bidder. Now he has to get the debts written off and get control of the shares.

A way it could work perhaps is that AS’s newco offers to buy the shares of the large shareholders for something like £0.00000000000001 per share, gets control of >90% of the shares in this way and can then force the remaining shareholders to sell on the same terms that the others accepted.
What I don’t understand though is how Savage’s offer can be accepted by the Administrators when it is conditional on something that seems outwith their control. It also might take quite a bit of time, and time is running out.

Keith Bray is now joint third top scorer in League 1, whilst Paul Allan is second for assists.
And in one match Bray scored more than Billy has in 39 games this season!

Not quite true , in season 97/98 we were in the relegation zone and managed to stay up.
We maybe had a slow start but finished in the top half!

History tells us that every time we are in a relegation dogfight, we get relegated.

With Bavidge: 2.2 points per game
Without Bavidge: 1.2 points per game, similar to Annan’s 1.1 season to date average.

That’s a huge blow. We’ve seen what recent results have been without him, and it leaves us dependent on the most ineffective striker in the Scottish leagues.
