  1. Just wanted to congratulate you boys on wrapping up the league in fine form. You have been the best team in the second half of the season when it mattered, and undoubtedly worthy champions. All the best to you highlanders, and hopefully Dundee will see you there next year!
  2. Rubbish. How much are you lot laying out in wages particularly with players like Kerr who is on a 3 year deal? Firstly, not to be pedantic but the topic was "Dundee getting the jitters", not try to argue that your wage bill is better than our wage bill/my dad can batter your dad argument...we could be here all day. The main focus of the thread was are Dundee getting the Jitters and how realistic, one would assume, are the chances of Caley winning the league. Let's assume for a moment that Dundee do start to go all wrong and take 15 points between now and the end of the season (3 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses), that would leave you needing 21 or perhaps 22 (depending on goal difference) from your remaining 11 games. The more wins we can put together the more points you need to overtake us. Your points total over the last 11 games has been 20. As I have said before, we have hit a bad patch, but I would rather be in the position of the mighty Dundee than of you boys. We have a big travelling support who will now travel in even greater numbers between now and the end of the season, so hopefully that will spur us on to the title. It is, as someone else said, ours to lose. But I wish you all the best for the run in...and look forward to the last day of the season when we will be out in force in Inverness. With love P
  3. All ?250k of it? I'm sure one would agree that Griffiths is a great investment, as is Harkins, and we will no doubt make a good return on one if not both of them in the future. Furthermore I don't see why financial outlay will put more pressure on the players on the park. Further to the pressure aspect, we have the points on the board and ICT are playing catch up...ergo for the time being, the pressure is on you to win more of the last 11 games than us. Dundee's away record is terrible, but should we win our remaining 3 home games, that leaves you with 6 games to overturn the deficit (as you are 6 points behind). It's going to be tight...
  4. You're right! I am getting nervous, but that's what being a Dundee fan is all about. We have a very difficult run in, coupled with the fact we have cup games too (hopefully). Remember, though, that you boys have to play Partick, QoS, County, Morton (nasty Tuesday nighter) and Ayr all away, plus a home derby against County. It's going to be interesting, and we both can't afford to lose games. Shame really that only one team goes up really! Rather have the points on the board now though than have to play catch up...pressure on you guys. May the best team win!
  5. Exactly... Its amazing what money can do...and we have it!
  6. Good night for Dundee. Would have been better if you guys had lost, but not the end of the world given your victory. QoS are not good enough to win this league, nor are County, although both are still close in the chasing pack. Inverness are finding form at the right time and will be there or thereabouts come the end of the season. This is a big month ahead though, and there are some tough games for everyone. This is the next 6 games until April 3rd... Dundee: Ayr(A), Airdrie(A), QoS(H), County(A), Dunferm(A), Ayr(H) Inverness: Morton(H), County(A), Airdrie(H), Partick(A), County(H), Raith(H) QoS: Dunferm(A), Ayr(A), Dundee(A), Dunferm(H), Airdrie(A), Morton(A). County: ICT(H), Ayr(A), Dundee(H), ICT(A), Dunferm(A). No easy games now...but QoS have a tough old schedule. You guys have to play County twice...what a finish to the season this could be!
  7. I never said that. I believe that anyone in the top 4 can win the league, Dundee, County, Inverschneckie or Queens. Queens are nothing special though, just well organised, and bear in mind they have played 60% of their games at home. They now have 7 away games and 1 at home between now and April 6th (I believe). County are in a similar boat. Its going to be tight come the end of the season and there are a lot of big games between now and then. From my perspective I would like Raith to win, and you boys to draw. You guys have a game in hand and are 9 points behind so anything but a win tonight is bad for you. Good luck and enjoy the game...
  8. As a Dundee fan, I will be keenly keeping one eye on the scores tonight. Like you boys (and girls), I am hoping for Raith to at least take a point off County at home. I'm going for Raith 1 County 0. As for you guys, I think you should beat Queens even though your home record is not the best. I'll go for 2-1 to the Highlanders. All the best!
  9. First of all, when you posit a question you must finish with a question mark (?). 'It's' is an abbreviation of 'it' together with 'is' so therefore must be punctuated with an apostrophe. Furthermore, why does accents require to be put into inverted commas? Please don't be pedantic about the writing styles of others, when you fail miserably to punctuate a simple sentence!
  10. It's gonna be an affy ticht feenish tae the season! Dundee are not the best and Jocky's tic-tacs oft leave the rational among us baffled! Big result for Dundee today all things considered, and again you boys played us off the park and shat yir breeks at the end! See you for the last game of the season when the thousands of Dundee supporters descend upon Inverschneckie and take over the town...
