Yes, a boring game of fitba'. But if you are talking about a bad half that you have seen then then I take you were not at the Inverness against Saints game recently? We should have had the game dead and buried by half time then!
-
I wish my bedroom was filled with as many women!
-
Fitba' and women don't go together at all. Well maybe at Caley games along with tartan blankets and flasks of soup! If it wasn't for women the St Johnstone average gate would be around 1500 If it wasn't for women, there would be an average higher gate. 2 of my friends don't go anymore because of the constant squealing of silly women who know nothing about the game. St. Johnstone used to have great crowds when it was a rarity to spot a slavering woman at the fitba'. More women= More pissed off men that can't be doing with them.

The roads are fine now. What the problem is though is parking in streets. There are still piles of snow that has formed into hard ice at the edges of roads. This obviously presents problems to traffic when there are backlogs of cars sticking out. Especially for the Letham and Tulloch schemes. This is the reason the police called off the United and Rangers games. These sets fans would have travelled in serious numbers. Perhaps 3 thousand for United and maybe 5 thousand for Rangers. The reason the Inverness game will be on is because you will only bring 3 or 400 fans(beware backlash now) at most with you.

Which completely contradicts what Coagie Bob has been saying for days! What is on the official site is bollocks. I am telling you now. For the final time there is no snow or ice on the carpark! The guy who contributes to the official site is a numpty. He honestly has no clue about fitba'!

I have just turned 30 and remember McAvennie as a player but only for Celtic in his latter years. I have just watched OAE and got to the Butcher part and turned it off. It was that dire. I suppose the Dingwall clip was funny to someone from Inverness given the rivalry but it was really pish! How poor and overdone is Chick Young now? It's cringeworthy!

No, if this is true I didn't know that, but like I said only if it is true. I passed the carpark again today and it's the same as it's been all week. No ice or snow upon it. The snow has been gathered and has been piled up, but only on areas that nobody(car or foot) will be on. I've said it once and I'll say it again. The car park was and is not the problem.

Well, I'd like to think so. But then you have just answered it by replying.
-
Aye, I'm starting to catch onto your wit now!
-
No I'm not, but believe it or not I've always had a soft spot for Inverness. I thought it was great when finally a professional team came from your area. I was fed up for years of the same old attitude that fitba' should be played in the Central Belt. Perth is the gateway to the Highlands not Stirling and I'm proud of that. The vast majority of people in Perth class theirselves as North Scotland and as such have contempt for the South, especially concerning fitba'!

There is only one team in Scotland who are 'The Saints'. St. Mirren's official nickname is 'The Buddies' whereas St. Johnstone's is and always has been the Saints. It's like calling Inverness 'Caley'. Some would take offence to that and would perhaps prefer 'The Caley Jags'.

 Aye, Tam Cowan has a lot to answer for! I'd have thought a proper teuchter from somewhere like Inverness would have appreciated the rigours of country life!
-
Count me in! I can also see us getting a win. Now's the time to ruin that proud away sequence of yours! Can somebody tell me if my wee pal Jill Macdonald is coming down for the game? Someone on here is bound to know her?

Everything of this statement I agree with. This is sensible posting. Praise from a tractorman.....whatever next By the way I live a few hundred yards from McDairmid You maybe live a hundred yards from it but you can't spell the place correctly! Sorry bout that. Spelling is not my strongest point but now that i've looked into it properly I realise its MACDERMIDDEN. Incidently I'm not the Alex MacLeod you know and I live in Letham (The posh part) That'll be the same MACDERMIDDEN that has 4 stands in use, proper training facilities and toilets within the stands and not some ramshackle portaloo for everyone to use? The posh part of Letham? Now you are having a laugh! Letham is now the official junkie capital of Perth! There are no posh parts!

It is in Inverness if you're a Scotsman!

Bollocks! The car park is not the problem! Because of the small numbers travelling the police would not make this an issue. It's the nature of the surrounding streets which pose the problems. With United and Rangers having huge travelling support the the police were concerned where to park them all not to mentionn thousands walikng on icy and unconventional streets. This is clearly not to be expected with the Inverness Jags. Are you saying bollocks because there isn't any ice on the car park and I must be making it up or because having the car park covered in ice wouldn't be a problem?! I'm saying bollocks because the game was called off because of the roads and not the car park. There is tiny little pieces of white on the car park but it's certainly not inches of anything which your friend has so unreliably informed you. I see it every single day and the car park is fine.

I used to like Davor Sukur. Although I always thought his brother Willie was abetter player.
-
What's so baffling? I'm not saying I agree, but at this time of year that is how the police would look upon it.
-
I can't believe the arrogance of this statement. Inverness, Hamilton, St. Johnstone and St. Mirren are all teams of equal size. Why can't any of these teams regularly take points off of each other? What makes a team who have only just been promoted remember, seem to think they have the divine right to turn up and claim points before a ball is kicked? Caley are on an enviable run of form just now. That can't be called into question but in reality are just a small team as are these other sides mentioned. Howden needs to drop the Old Firm attitude and live in the real world.
