  1. Bishbashbosh & big cherly, You both wax lyrical about the RC scouting and youth training schedules. Do you have any idea what the training set up is at your club ICT? Where the U11s & U12s are coached 3 times weekly in excellent facilities with fully qualified coaches? As are the U13s, U14s, U16s and U18s. I would also ask the both of you to name the last player from the RC Academy to start 20+ games for the first team in the past 10 years? Surely the ultimate proof of the pudding in a club’s academy system? Meanwhile I would give you - Polworth, Christie, Mackay, Macgregor, Harper, Bray and I have probably missed others. Doesn’t fit your agenda that RC are doing great on the youth development front whilst ICT lag behind but you both may prove me wrong.
  2. Can everyone in this forum be so naive? Scot Gardiner/John Robertson are taking salaries that have seen the club go backwards since their employment- easy to blame Dodds!
  3. think a squad built on £3.50 and a packet of crisps has done remarkably well. Play off last year, few points off second spot this year and a cup final…plus getting through the group stages. He hasn’t been able to have a settled squad over the two years but has remarkably got them to within touching distance. Yes it’s brutal to watch when half the squad were missing but there were glimpses of what could be done with the right players. They have to take risks in the injured/unheard off player but they seem to have a decent grasp - Allardice, Duffy, Deas, Shaw - who had heard of them before? Hopefully few more of the young lads goals a step. Need an older warhorse on there and a few more rough diamonds and I think we’ve got the making of a decent team. That is absolute nonsense and perhaps is a perfect example of the acceptance of the rhetoric from above regarding player budget/size/expense. This season has seen one of the biggest and most expensive ICT squads in its 29 year history. And we’re in the Championship. The fact that you( and others) cannot see this is strange to say the least. (Perhaps the fact that wage spend is now not included in the annual accounts may have been a clue.).
  4. What absolute nonsense! You are renowned for posting absolute b———s but this takes the biscuit.
  5. If you or the moderators on this site think it is appropriate to bring up a totally irrelevant court case on a topic featured Partick v ICT where we all should be discussing a disappointing result and our slipping down the table then it’s a sad. But certainly in keeping with your incessant vitriol.
  6. Glover - it astonishes me that you actually think that ICT spend anywhere near the half a million that we received for Christie on an annual basis! As a parent who previously had a talented player in the ICT youth department(now in Uni) I made it my business to find out what the club commits to the youth structure year on year and after grants, sponsorship etc. it is around the £50,000 mark. Hence Christie's transfer fee, all be it less than we should have agreed, would pay for our youth spend for a decade.
