  1. Spot on D. D. couldn't aggree with you more and that is why a lot of real fans stay away from games.

Is it any wonder Butcher loses the head with the crowd when at home.....The only real backing the team gets seems to come from these great travelling supporters we get when away from home, few they may be but they get behind our players and the noise of encouragement (not abuse) is always audible and great to hear. I always wish I was with them.

When on rare occasions i get to home games I am always dismayed by what I dont hear and further dismayed by what i do hear.

Great post D.D. I hope it hits home.................but I very much doubt it will because of the mentality of certain idiots. They should be in a section of their own, preferably under the Kessock Bridge.

  2. Woah there, Yes we had an off day a really crazy off day as far as passing is concerned but Mr Butcher will have learned a great deal from it and so will the players so much so that we will beat Celtic in our next meeting.

We now see a new strike force emerging with Andrew, Billy, Ross Draper, and Connor leading, then Meekings, Waren, Foran, alternating up with them. The defence will soon be strenthened into Hogg, OTJ, and G Shinnie. In the meantime King and Raven are there to fill the gaps. Imo Pepper should not be overplayed, he is not quite ready to make starts but Morrison or Ross could make the first half contribution paving the way for the second half

Esson doesn't seem to wake up fully until he has let in a couple of goals then he can play a blinder almost as if he knows he has to make up for his mistakes. I hope our Spannish lad gets his chance against Arbroath I would like to see just what he can do and it could also keep Esson more alert at the start of games if he sees he has a real rival threat.

I am not a bit downhearted, I sort of expected a loss with Lennon playing his mind games of tiredness, injuries, travel and ''important matches coming up'' all planned to raise expectations of ICT players and supporters and covering his own back in case the unexpected happened.

  3. Hey lads whats in the water these days? you are all sounding positive, great to hear!

You can virtually permutate a winning team from all the suggestions on here. For my part I like Luke's 4-1-5 attacking formation and yes IHE probably meekings in the team if that formation is changed to a 4-3-3. Either would give best attacking options and i would start with the latter to sound out Hearts attack ability then quickly change it to the former if as I believe hearts front men will be ineffective.

  4. If Ian Black is the consummate professonal that he should be, there is not really a reason why he should not fit into the International Squad at any time.

If he has consistently been training for years his body has become acclimatised to the rigors of same and his heart and his lungs will have adapted to this. That is what conditioning is all about isn't it?

It's up to him as to whether he is willing to train hard continuously -- as a true professional would--or let himselrf go. Football is football and if he owes it to his team to play to the best of his ability and at the highest level of fitnesss he can maintain for his age.

It's also up to the fitness trainers to ensure that he pulls his weight in the fitness department and I am quite confident that Rangers Newco will be anxious to ensure they win every game in a canter to make absolutelty sure that they move up the leagues quickly again.

Unless , of course, he is an absolute idiot and looks upon his sojourn at his new club as a holiday bonus or something. In which case it won't be long before he is back to painting....

Scarlet on this one I beg to differ ! It takes more than fitness past ability and training regimes to play at International level. I agree they do help but!

No matter how good the players in your team are it is the opposition that you are playing against that keeps you up to scratch. As I said before all I have against Ian is his deplorable record and when you take into account that it is mainly times when he is outsmarted that causes him to commit these offences I am afraid if frustration sets in then mistakes are made. Playing against superior opposition will eventually catch him out.

( not relevant to your post )

As for the boo boys they should be shamed, as IHE would say ''another black mark for Scotland.''
