Cheers IHE what's your answer, yet another manager on gardening leave and replace a full squad of players.
Sloppy defending and letting in easy goals has been our downfall.
Both have been addressed in this match, just need a bit of bite up front and Anier needs a bit more game time. Remember Hughes never had a successful striker he got a winger to play up front instead and hoped for the best.
The same players were scoring goals aplenty at the start of the season but letting in even more, I believe the terminology is called loseing.
Yes there's room for improvement but it comes with confidence.

With the stewards they seem to be given simple instructions and don't deviate.
Some are good some not so good.
I wouldn't be surprised if there's still a steward standing in front of an empty home car park directing imaginary traffic under the bridge because they have read a rectangular advisory sign that says no right turn, which doesn't seem to be a problem when the police are conducting the traffic.

Scottish football is small fry when it comes to their international viewing platform.

Our keeper really upped his game and pulled off some excellent saves. The defence held firm, assisted with the protection of midfield to claim a much needed clean sheet. Better positioning for picking up the 2nd ball when taking corners too.
Subs Vigurs had a good game, so did Doran and Mulraney, we could have really punished them on the counter attack with Mulraney and Doran but it's a work in progress.
Once the confidence builds, I can see us as possible top six but I think the majority of us fans would be happy with a bit of daylight between the bottom 2 positions and us.
Anier was showing there's quality about him but his biggest battle was the ref instead of the back line. The linesman missed an obvious offside when the ball hit the cross bar, plus others, let off a Partick player when offside for chasing the ball on the way back to OFW which I thought, fair enough as he kind of didn't interfere with play yet when the tables were turned and we had a player off side but more importantly one onside in a dangerous position the flag goes up.
A lot of positives to take down to Hamilton, to play against a team whos fans are planning to start boycotting their matches.

I'm hoping Fon Williams can catch the fish.
And the rest get stuck in like this
-
The old firm probably don't know what a 3 pm Saturday ko is anymore and they just get on with it, we can too.
A lot of Celtic fans will want to see us get beat so I'm expecting a near full house.
Let's just put up with the early fixture put this one to bed and hope for a better time in the next round.

Innes Street subway goes under a dual carriageway, Alexandria rd, Elgin is single carriageway
Just saying!
Was talking more about the width, it was more like the entrance to the Victorian market by the market bar.
-
I went through the subway earlier and all I saw was one guy grappling with a guitar and a blow hard making heavy weather of a harmonica.
Can you class that as a subway ? it's more like a burrow for giant rabbits.
Inness St has got a bigger subway.

Is it really right for opposition fans to vote in this...? Especially when they pick the players who were poorest for us.
It also highlights the flaw that you can give a player 9 points

Maybe Aberdeen could afford to pay a higher contribution. Christie didn't even make a subs appearance at the weekend and there's nothing to say he will get a lot more game time at Aberdeen

Well it was great to return to Borough Briggs and see off Elgin, albeit making heavy weather of it. I feel this week is a MUST WIN and I would take a scrappy 2-1 again. Not sure if the team selection and formation gave us any clues last week. Still a lot of questions to be answered - so who is in the know.
Meekings is OUT but will all the rest return - especially Draper. Will Foran persist with Polly at right back or will he shunt in Raven. Do we persist with Boden or do we fire in Anier (I would). Vigurs to keep his place ? Doumouya to play up front on his own (I would plump for Anier and Boden but cant see Foran doing this ?
FON WILLIAMS
WARREN McKAY TREMARCO
KING POLWORTH TANSEY DRAPER DORAN
ANIER BODEN
Plastic Whistle may also have their own problems - Is Devine suspended ? Osman and Lindsay may also be out which leaves them threadbare at the back.
They've got Nial Keown on loan I wonder if Cole has played against him?

Billy Reid sat next to me, he was monitoring one of Morton's players and Caley D was doing a very good impression of the Young team. I think the stewards were trying to chuck some fans out for doing the bouncy or something.
-
The last time I was in Greenock for our midweek away fixture, I saw Kate Humble in the Premier inn.
I think she was filming Morton Watch.
-
I can see why Boden was given such a long contract when signing, as to make some money when a bigger club comes calling, I thought the guy had huge potential and was very direct when I first saw him play, so much so I put a wee bet on him being one of the top five, leagues goal scorers.
Hope it clicks for him, If he cant get any game time then I wonder I his accommodation is paid for by the club? and perhaps a confidence boosting loan deal nearer to home may be of benefit to all concerned.

Should be a cracking match.
Can't wait.

Heres hoping we get Rangers away after the Celtic match to double up the revenue.

I've never seen as many police at a game as that, I've never seen police dogs patrolling the pitch, I've never seen us get segregated at the end of a game before.
This must be what supporting Leeds or Millwall is like.
It's education from association as that's what other fans do I suppose.
Our young fans like to make a lot of noise but they don't usually go out of their way looking for a fight.

A clear indications that Central Belt 'pundits' are as ignorant of geography north of the Tay as they are about our football.
You mean there's land north of the Tay?

When you put fans around a pitch the size of a tennis court, then I think even 200 looks a lot.

Sadly it comes with the criteria of top flight football, even County lost the heart of the fans from behind the goals when their seats went in.
Probably an issue to be escalated with politicians rather than forums if things can be altered.

Thats our 3rd clean sheet in all competitions. 2 games unbeaten and I think that's something to build on.
Or we could just tie ourselves up in knots dwelling on all the mistakes and defeats.
