  1. Any chance of CB and CD battling it out in the centre circle in gladiatorial style for Supreme Champion tomorrow evening ? We are, after all, looking for ways to boost the crowd...

Not as entertaining as BarraJag vs NDD for anyone on P&B

I thought you were BarraJag on P&B?

Don't associate me with that roaster!!

  2. Here are the results....

I'm not going to comment on how bad I think other users are here though!

    1. Charles Bannerman

    2. CaleyD

    3. Laurence

4.Dougal (Also 5th in Best Poster)

    5. IHE (Also 1st in Best Poster)

    6.Alex McLeod

    7.Bughtmaster

    8.Fruitbat

    9.Mahonio / Shaun

    10 Davie

IHE did not complete his double, although he and Dougal are on both the best and worst lists. I'm also reliably informed Shaun is Mahonio.

The top 3 were pretty far ahead of the rest and 4th and 5th were battling it out for a while. 6-10 was always changing.

    So there you have it!

  3. Finnigan was decent at Falkirk, and I stress decent. He left them in 2011 and since has a pretty poor record other than a prolific short loan spell at Dundee, but was honking when they signed him permanent. He was also poor at St Johnstone hence why he was loaned to Dundee. I don't know how he did at Chippa but it can't be a very good level considering Jaakola is getting games out there

  4. Don't know why folk think a big striker will arrive. Doesn't really fit in with Yogi's preferred ball on the deck, through the middle style of play.I think he eventually will sign striking reinforcements but it will likely be a player who can hold the ball up, good technical ability and be able to link play with others

    You just described Ryan Christie.

So John Hughes is doing his transfer business right then?

He hasn't had to do any transfer business to get right or wrong.

I take faith from the fact that a good number of players have signed extensions since he arrived (and I suspect more will) and if/when we have need to replace players then he can be judged on how that goes.

Our squad is small, but it's fairly versatile.  There's good argument for a second experienced striker, but can we afford to have that and either them or Billy passing time sitting on the bench?  If we could, then I imagine we'd have brought someone in already.

So can you justify one when Billy gets injured?

Ferguson isn't ready to start lots of games in a row so don't say him.

Sounds like you are once again pretty quick to defend the club because you are involved with them. No surprise there

  5. IMO, I think there was a point in time when we would have received some interesting money for Billy but until he starts scoring regularlyagain that time has gone.

    This.

People seem to still regard Billy Mckay as a goal machine that everyone wants. We would be lucky to get a fee like 300k and nowhere near as much May is worth.

  7. I don't think there ever was a link. We signed a loan player who turned out to be a useless dud he didn't really care about the club and had a really bad attitude. We took on one of their youngsters who were released and despite having some talent, never made it to the first team. He also is now playing amateur football and seems (going by twitter) to prefer being down in Epping with his other rich friends.
