  1. I really enjoyed watching that yesterday.

Despite a few early chances, Dundee United were hardly in the game, and that's thanks to the back 4 - Meekings and Warren in particular - as well as Draper and Tansey's terrific shielding of the defence. And what about Tansey's array of passing yesterday…ooft.

James VIncent was back to the old James Vincent of the beginning of last season, just shows what he can do when played in his natural position.

Williams was quiet yesterday but did a job but what about Marley Watkins? Simply sublime. Don't think there was a blade of grass he didn't cover yesterday, such an improved player compared to last season.

Wee Billy had a few chances yesterday but it just isn't falling for him at the minute, but he's too good a striker for that to continue for much longer…think it's more of a confidence issue.

Looking ahead to next week, I'd be inclined to stick with the same team as yesterday. Vincent cannot be dropped after that display, and I can't see where else Christie would fit in. He also provides greater defensive cover and that will obviously be needed at CP.

All in all a fantastic performance yesterday - joint top of the table going into November - cant complain!

  2. After 45 minutes? Absolutely. Putting ourselves under pressure, playing horrible lifeless football, yet a style we've waited for for years!

The fact we're third and playing in a match against our closest rivals and a bottom of the league actually makes it even worse! The fans who booed were absolutely right to show their frustration after watching 45 minutes of that garbage and thankfully the players and coaches got the message.

Maybe these happy clappers who think that we should have given them a rapturous applause and skipped around merrily at half time, while thinking that those who were rightly frustrated should go and watch the Old Firm, should ask themselves whether or not football is for them. Maybe they'd be more suited to watching Cbeebies.

I'm not a happy clapper. When did I suggest we should've applauded them off? After that first half showing, I certainly wasn't going to be applauding them off.

At the risk of sounding like Yogi, we've got a good, honest group of professionals and they themselves know that first half showing wasn't good enough. Do you honestly think they need a chorus of boos to tell them that? Booing them off the park can't do their confidence any good and I personally can't see what can be gained from it?

  3. After 45 minutes??! If we were playing like that week after week then fair enough, but we're 3rd in the table and playing a brand of football that fans have been wanting to see for years. For a club like ours that is fantastic.

Booing the players, many of whom could've jumped ship but have instead stayed loyal to us, after an abject 45 mins is pathetic. If that's the mentality these people have then maybe they'd be better suited supporting one of the OF.

  4. Have to say the boos at HT were a disgrace.

This group of players are the best, most professional and hardest working we've ever had and probably ever will have at the club. For them to be booed off after one half of poor football in a season where we're sitting 3rd is nothing short of disgraceful.

The first half was terrible, admittedly, but everyone has an off day. I feel so sorry for the boys, they deserve so much better.
